We all piled into Jessica's Cadillac XT6 which is a much smaller SUV then the Escalade is . But with the third row seating it was plenty comfortable enough for all six of us to cruise back down Egan drive and cross over the bridge to Douglas Island.
Douglas Island is part of Juneau but it has a whole lot less tourist traffic then down around the Marine park where all the cruise ships come in. It's one of the main reasons I like to eat here.
The Island Pub is a casual place, something like a sports bar with great food. The outside Is just a small gray building with a long wooden porch.A big contrast from the inside that looks like a modern well kept sports bar. It even has big picture windows that over look the water but the best part is the brick oven pizza. You can choose one of their creations or build your own. I have done both and let me tell you, I have never been disappointed.
We stepped on inside and got seated at a long table right away. Within a few minutes a girl came to take our drink order and gave us all a menu. Drake ordered a Miller light, go figure. I think he only drinks it because his last name is Miller. Even though he has no relationship to anyone at the Miller brewing company,
whatsoever.
Jes ordered an Island pub cosmo and Rhonda ordered an Esperanza, it's just a margarita made with Patron. But when it came to Madison she looked at me across the table questionably.
"Order what ever you want. Just as long as you don't get drunk and can still work, I don't care."I reassured her.
She blinked a couple of times mumbled"okay"
and ordered a sandy beach mojito.
My girl pointed to a margarita that a lady had across the room and whispered in my ear " I want one of those with no alcohol."
" Are you sure sweetheart?That's a Coco loco margarita it tastes like pineapple and coconut." I whispered back and kissed her temple.
She nodded, "Yes, I like pineapple."
So I ordered my girl a virgin Coco loco margarita and a soda just to be safe,and me a corona. I love beer with my pizza.
Then just as the waitress trotted off to fetch our drinks Madison smiled at me and pointed across the table at Andie "Mr. Randolph is this your little sister?"
Drake and Rhonda spun their head around and leaned over gawking in my direction. I silently thanked the moon goddess that Jes and I had already planned for this conversation.
" No Madison, this is Andie Hunt my fiancé." I said proudly, bringing our connected hands above the table and kissed Andie's knuckles.
" Your fiancé' Madison repeated sounding a bit befuddled.
" Yeah, Zack's fiancé, she's from California, you have probably heard of her father before. Lucius Hunt the guy who owns Hunt pharmaceutical company. Andie even has her own line of baby bath products." Jes beamed , leaving Madison speechless for a moment.
"Y .... You have a b..baby" Madison finally stuttered.
What the fuck, was she not listening? I ask myself.
I shook my head "No we don't have a baby yet. Andie and I are still focusing on our college degree right now, but we plan to have children someday." I said honestly. Because it's a given fact Andie and I are expected to have children. A male heir to be precise a future Alpha for the Starlight Pack.
Madison gawked at Andie and ask " You're going to college?" the bewilderment from earlier still in her voice.
" Yes, I'm just taking my basics right now." Andie confirmed.
"Oh well it's nice to meet you Andie."Madison sputtered sounding a little uncertain.
" It's nice to meet you too" Andie smiled politely at Madison. Who was still staring at us
questabley with her lips pressed together in a straight line.
Drake nodded like a bobblehead and Rhonda's voice was immediately in my head.
' Quick thinking there Zack, but now she thinks you're a fucking jerk.' She sent sarcastically.
'Why the hell would she think that?' I sent back, truly confused. Didn't human girls think young love was beautiful or some shit like that?
' Because you hooked up with her friend last week when you and Skyler came to the office a few days before your Alpha ceremony. Don't you know humans usually date a long time before they get engaged. Now she probably thinks you have been cheating on Andie the whole time the two of you have been together.'
Rhonda explained in my head while everyone was busy sorting out the drinks the waitress brought back.
I took my beer and helped Andie with her soda straw giving Rhonda a side glance. I sent back .' Oh well, let her think what she wants to. She works for me,I don't work for her.'
Rhonda sighed but didn't comment and I nonchalantly turned towards the waitress beside me ordering some appetizers for the table."l'd like two orders of hot wings,one order with ranch dressing and one with blue cheese.Two orders of your smoked salmon spread, and two orders of your hummus"
pausing a moment I glanced around the table at everyone "Does anyone want a different appetizer other than what I ordered?" I ask, just to make sure.
" Another round of drinks." Drake shouted holding up his beer.
I nodded at Drake and spun my head back towards the waitress continuing my order. "Another round of drinks,a wildebeests pizza and a garden salad" glancing down at my girl I ask, " What do you want sweetheart?"
"The first date pizza and a Caesar salad." She whispered shyly, her cheeks turning a bright shade of pink. Fucking Adorable.
I kissed her little pink cheek and turned back to the waitress. " The first date pizza and a Caesar salad,"
" Is that all sir?"
"That's all for me, but everyone's order is on the same ticket."
She nodded and moved on down the table to take everyone else's orders. I leaned into my girl and whispered in her ear,just loud enough for her to hear. " You know when it's a group, it really don't count. You still owe me a first date, just me and you at night with nobody else ."
" Are you sure?" She ask shyly, fiddling with the straw in her soda.
I straightened and pushed back to look into those gorgeous blue eyes " Absolutely sweetheart, do you think I would lie to you?" I said playfully.
Suddenly Madison coughed uncontrollably
,throwing her napkin on the table and stomped off to the bathroom.
Taken off guard, I glanced around the table to see if anyone else had an answer for what just happened. And it didn't take long before
Rhonda was back in my head.
'Oh my god Zack, are you truly that clueless?' She cackled like fucking Skyler always does.
'What?' I ask sharply. I swear between her and Skyler I really don't know which one is the most annoying.
' Like I told you just a few minutes ago, she thinks you have been cheating on Andie. Then you ask Andie if she thought you would lie to her. Now Madison thinks you're a fucking player, that's just how human girls are.'
' What's she going to do tell her human friend,
that I'm an ass. I'm sure her friend already got the memo when I never called after I fucked her brains out.'I sent back.
' I'm sure that's exactly what she will do.' Rhonda cackled.
' Good, let her spread the news. Last time I checked, I'm not running for president and I'm definitely not looking for a date.So let her tell every girl she knows I'm an ass.' I shot back and continued to feed my girl salmon spread.
Rhonda cackled in my head in response.
Then a couple of waitress brought our food and Madison stomped back into the dining area shooting a pugnacious glare my way. I ignored her crazy ass and ordered another round of drinks for the table while the waitress were close by.
Everything was going great until the door of the restaurant swung open and Madison's friend Taylor (aka the chick I fucked )slithered in wearing a tight pink mini dress and a pair of white hooker heels.
She pranced on over to the table and leaned into my personal space with her big fake boobs spilling out the top of her dress.
I backed away but she caught my chin between her thumb and finger purring seductively in my face "Oh Zack baby, I'm so glad you're here,I have been waiting for you to make me feel like you did last week."
Frantically I clawed her hand off my face just in time to hear my girl mutter"Oh honey take a number."
Taylor straighten and screeched at Andie. "What?"
"I said take a number." Andie repeated loudly, Rolling her eyes at Taylor. I could feel Andie's annoyance through the bond. Yes, my girl was annoyed and I was too. What was this crazy bitch doing here in the first place? I wondered.
Then shit really got crazy Madison jumped out of her chair yelling from across the table. "Andie did you not understand what she just said, she slept with your fiancé last week."
"I understood that part perfectly fine, I also understood the fact that she has been waiting to do it again.That's why I said she should get in line, because I'm sure she's not the only one." Andie paused spinning her head back towards Taylor. " My only question is did my fiancé call you to come meet him here or"
Andie Hummed "are you stalking him?"
" Babe I definitely didn't call this woman. I have never called her and never will." I said honestly. "then scratched my chin like I was deep in thought. My girl gave me an out and I'm damn sure going to take it " But now that I think about it sweetheart, you might be right. I believe she is stalking me. She just showed up at the bar last week when me and Skyler stopped for a drink and now she's here. Maybe I should file a police report and put a restraining order on her."
"Stalking you!" Taylor yelled, throwing her hands up in the air. "That's the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard."
" Yes Taylor, stalking me.How else do you explain showing up out of blue and trying to seduce me? Not just once,but twice, two weeks in a row ,coincidence? I don't think so." I said dramatically.
"You damn sure wasn't complaining last week when you went to my apartment with me." Taylor shouted, placing her hands on both of her hips and glaring down at me, her face red and angry looking. Honestly I thought she was going to hit me.
But I didn't let that stop me, I continued laying my trap. I'm not stupid it didn't take me long to figure out what was going on here.
When Madison stomped off to the bathroom she must have called Taylor and told her to come down here because she thinks I have been fooling around behind Andie's back.
I not sure how I feel about that, I like loyalty from my employees. However she did have Andie's best interest in mind, at least I believe she did. This is something we need to decide at a later time.
But right now I need to get rid of this crazy bitch standing in front of me before we get thrown out of this place. We're starting to draw a crowd and the staff looks like they're on high alert.
" That's because I didn't want to be rude and I thought you would get the hint that I wasn't interested when I left in the middle of the night and never called you. But apparently I didn't realize at the time that you were stalking me like a psycho nut case."
"I'm not stalking you."Taylor hissed with her red painted lips curled into an ugly snarl.
"Then tell me Taylor, if you're not stalking me how did you even know I was in town.Even my staff was surprised to see me here this morning when I walked into the office." I ask, accusingly.
" Madison told me you.. you ..lying,cheating scumbag." Taylor stuttered out belligerently.
" Now Taylor those are some awful harsh words.Especially coming from a girl that took a guy she didn't know from a crowded bar home with her. I didn't even buy you a drink or talk to you more than ten minutes at best. Now how can you call me thoes horrible things?" I ask calmly.
" Because you lied to me you jerk" Taylor yelled.
" What are you talking about. I never lied to you. I don't even know you, why would I lie to you?" I ask truly confused, I never lied to women, I have no need to. Women usually come on to me. Shewolves or humans, it doesn't matter they both like guys with money and power.
" You told me you were single and obviously you're not." Taylor screeched pointing towards Andie.
Miss Taylor, I'm afraid there's been a misunderstanding." Andie chimed in "Zack didn't lie you about being single on Monday of last week.We just met this past Friday and there was an instant connection between us. We just fell head over heels in love with each other the first night we met."Andie said dreamily, as she leaned on my arm, capturing everyone in the restaurant's attention.
Women all around the restaurant oohed and aahed some even came up to the table to congratulate us on our engagement and ask if we had set a wedding date yet. Best of all Taylor disappeared into the crowd that gathered around and we could finally finish our pizza and leave the restaurant.
