Chapter 06.
Radha passed a water bottle to the man who was sweating, asking him,"Did you gather any information from them?"
He could see the people who attacked them in the morning severely beaten and tortured. There are blood wounds and bruises covering all over their bodies.
He drank the water and said, "No Radha. They are not revealing anything no matter how rough and torturous we are."
"Why isn't there any magic to find out traitors? What are those Spellcasters doing? Doing silly experiments? We are wasting money on them. It's us who are getting attacked. We are dog-tired getting information from these pigheaded bastards. And the traitors, they are hiding and seeing the fun." Radha's eyebrows frowned as he spoke with irritation.
He carried a rod and walked towards one of the chained captives. He raised the rod and smashed at his shoulder bone. *Aghh* amidst the captive's scream his voice was heard,"Take rest. I will have some work out."
"Don't kill them. They are already half-dead now." The man said and walked away.
Screams continued to sound from the room.
.
.
"What happened, did they say anything?" The man asked.
Radha wiped his hands with a towel, he replied, "Nothing. Didn't get any information. They had the energy to scream, but didn't even speak a word."
"If you had taken some break when you were beating them, you might have heard them speak." The man laughed. " I could hear their screams without any gap from here." He said.
"If they want to speak, they don't need to wait for me to stop. They would have begged me to stop." Radha said. He took a bottle and drank water.
"Yep. We should leave them to the psychics. They will arrive tomorrow." The man said.
"If we just torture one of them to death in front of them, they will certainly speak. Why do we have to call those retards?" Radha said in annoyance.
"Hey Radha, we can't kill them. We were requested to keep every one of them alive. I would have killed half of them by torturing if not." The man replied.
"Half of them? I want to burn everyone alive. Those fuckers came to kill us." Radha sneered.
"Why didn't you kill them on the spot? We wouldn't have been troubled with them if you had." The man scoffed.
"Hey, they are strange. I wanted to know what spirit beast they used. I wouldn't have left them alive otherwise." Radha said. He asked,"Did they find what spirit beast they used?"
"It's from overseas. Rare spirit beasts. Even overseas you won't find them commonly." The man said.
"Rare? We were attacked by a roomful of people using them. Those guys had to be insane to send these many. I wonder how they found these spirit beasts." Radha said.
"I don't think they will stop till they find that object.". The man said. He glanced at Radha and said,"Is it tomorrow you are leaving for foreign?"
"Yeah. I am leaving in the morning. It's going to take a few years before we meet again, bro." Radha said.
"What's this item that you need to leave for so long? You don't need to go, Radha. You don't need to risk your life." The man said with some concern.
"This is a chance. The one I am waiting for in years. I am not giving up now." Radha replied.
"Well I won't say much. Good luck." He continued, "I don't know if you will be back. Let me see your face. It's nearly a decade and still I don't know how you look, kid."
"Don't jinx. We will meet again. You might see my face then." Radha refused.
He continued to ask,"About those guys. They came to kill us. We should be doing something right. There was an agreement. No killing. They broke the agreement."
"I don't think we will be satisfied with the results. Moreover it's their people who died. Not a single loss from our side. We have those spirit beasts at least." The man said.
"Bastards, it's us who would have died. And still we can't get an answer for the attack." Radha was furious.
The man passed a drink,"You know the result already. Why are you asking me again?"
"I was hoping to get one." Radha said.
"Let's not have any hopes." The man said. He continued, "Go, get some rest. You will be leaving early."
"Okay. Bye." Radha got up to leave.
"Bye." The man said.
.
.
"Use this." Arun passed a bracelet. He asked, "You do know how to use it right?
"Thanks. I do." Radha took the storage bracelet and wore it. He channeled his magic energy into the bracelet and stored his belongings in it.
"You might know this but I am saying it once again. Don't use magic while you're teleporting. Don't even channel it in your body. It's dangerous and it will lead to your death. Your body will be torn apart." Arun's face was serious, his voice stern.
"I understand." Radha replied.
"You can enter first." Arun moved aside and activated the portal to another dimension. He asked, "Are you ready?"
"Yes." Radha answered. He then walked into the portal.
Arun followed after him.
The portal shrunk and disappeared as if it never appeared. There were no traces of its appearance.
.
.
"Can I take my leave?" Radha asked after passing the blue stone to Arun. He felt the light cold breeze. The environment in the new world felt too comfortable. He want to walk and see more
"Yes. You did a fine job. Let's meet again if we have a chance. My son and I will treat you to a meal." Arun said. He passed a card, saying,"Take this. You can ask for help by using this card."
Radha took the card. He said, "Thanks, I will."
"You can have that bracelet. Goodbye. Hope we meet again." Arun said and turned to leave.
"Goodbye." Radha said, watching him leave. He felt the people surrounding him leave the place. He exhaled and relaxed his breathing.
He looked around and chose a direction to walk. He was smiling and in an excited mood.
