Chapter 07.
Radha walked through the forest, towards the villa that could be seen at a distance. He could feel the fresh air as he breathed, the cool breeze scraping against his cheeks.
It's been two months since he arrived on Vru. He spent those two months traveling around this world, loved every moment. The beauty of this world made him laugh at his funny imaginations when he was young. The environment here was much simpler than his ridiculous thoughts.
There is no parade of men exhibiting their spirit beasts, ready to fight and show off. The world isn't barbaric on the surface with fights on the streets. You can take a leisurely walk on the street enjoying a cup of coffee.
The spirit beasts and humans have a harmonious relationship. He saw many spirit beasts without any Shapeshifter accompanying them.
He just have to overlook the people who tried to mug him, kidnap him for his organs, an idiot that tried to fool him into signing a slave contract, a spirit beast aiming its piss at him, a group of spirit beasts trying to swallow him. Then this world is a great place to live.
His vacation ends today. He thought of what he should do during his travels.
He spoke to the gatekeeper of the villa,a bird nestled on the wall, and entered the villa. The vast space inside the villa isn't as green and lush as the forest that surrounds it. He met some people who just glanced at him, without stopping what they're doing.
The door was already open with a young man standing at the entrance. He said to Radha, "The boss is waiting for you upstairs, follow me."
Radha followed his lead. The young man led him to the front of a room and left. "You can go in." He said and then left.
The door of the room opened when Radha was about to knock on the door. "Come in." A hoarse voice heard from inside the room.
"Hello, Boss." Radha greeted with a grin as he entered.
A middle aged man wearing loose casual clothes sat on a sofa. He stared at Radha for a few seconds, looking at him up and down. He asked with some doubt, "Is it really you Radha?"
"It's me." Radha answered. He had a gentle vibe coming from him when he stood with a small smile on his face.
"You're as good looking as I thought but it's different. I always felt, you are a girl who refuses to show her face to escape from the perverts in our business." Vasu laughed.
"What can I say? Many don't believe me. I don't know how to make them believe." Radha shook his head.
Vasu gestured at a seat, he said, "You should have shown your face once in a while, at least there would be some credibility then. Even now I am not taking that this is how you look for real."
"I don't know why there are even rumors about me being a girl. Just having one female name as a word in my name shouldn't confirm me as being a girl." Radha scoffed.
"There are going to be a lot of rumors if you hide yourself for ten years. I, myself have never heard of anyone who said they have seen your face. You go by 'Radha' in the circle and don't look uncomfortable. I am not surprised with those rumors." Vasu said.
"I am not the only one who goes by a name different from their gender. Let's stop this." Radha shook his head. "How are you boss?" He asked him.
"I am okay. This boss seat is quite comfortable." Vasu chuckled.
"Good to hear. How is your father? Is he in good health?" Radha asked.
"Dad is alright. There are no worries about his health. He is spending his time with his great grandchildren now. Say about yourself Radha, how is Vru?" Vasu asked him. Vasu glanced at the door and it opened. A worker came in carrying tea and snacks. Vasu gestures to Radha to have them.
"Vru is different from what I thought, I must say this. I thought this place would be worse than my home. But I have to say this place is as normal as it can get. Well I do have my shares of disturbances. Still this place is too beautiful. I like here." Radha said.
"We also live in a normal society. We just have different social and political norms. If you stay here some more time, you will get used to them. People with powers are strange in your place while people without them are strange here." Vasu said.
"Yes, people with powers will like this place. If people from my world could get a chance to live here, no one would refuse." Radha said. He continued, "We also don't need to be afraid of earning money here. When you sent me the money, I doubted if you had misheard and sent me only a week's worth. It's not costly to live here, I was wrong."
"If you have the strength you can live without worries in this world. You don't have to worry about money here. We have no worries about any inflation if we want to buy common goods. You can earn and spend money easily if you have the strength to back you." Vasu said.
He continued, "It's also a good decision on your part in choosing to do business to earn money. I am sure you will have sufficient strength to back yourself within half an year. Also I will always back you."
"Thanks boss for your help. I will never forget your care." Radha said with sincerity.
"It's a small request for me, Radha. You have already helped us a lot in your world all these years. I can also help you a little." Vasu said.
He said with a serious face, "Are you really going to leave this circle Radha? I don't think it will be easier for you to move on from being a gangster. It's also hard to cut off all your connections and relationships."
"I don't need to be a gangster anymore, boss. I needed power to live there. Now I only need strength to live here. It's also more peaceful. So I am quitting. And why do you say I am cutting off all my connections in this circle. If so I would not have asked for your help to make a living here, I would have worked my ass off figuring out a way. I don't want to become a powerless hoe by cutting off all my connections." Radha replied. He chuckled, "We will be in contact, boss. You will always have to take care of me."
"Hahaha, I like it. Radha, you should have continued staying in this circle. There would be a lot more fun." Vasu laughed. He held his hands in front of him, "Anyways, I hope you live according to your dreams and peace. Also I will always not shy from asking for your help."
"You can rest assured, boss. I will be there if you need my help." Radha shook his hand.
