"MASTER! MASTER! Angel...she's an angel!" the crown prince glared upwards as his assistant came in bumbling like an idiot, screaming this and that about angels.
"*sigh* calm down she's not a real angel she's just wearing costume wings... Tell her to take them off it isn't suitable for a crown princess to dress like some sort of airheaded fool"
His stern glare silenced the old man as he gulped and shook his head, "... Not a costume. She's real, she was really flying. Come look master!"
"..."
"Please believe me she's a real angel, its truly magnificent, like a phoenix!"
Tapping his fingers on his desk he stood up and walked toward his assistant, "It seems your getting old Arnold, to think you'd loose your mind like this. Take a couple of weeks off and then come back when your feeling better. It seems I haven't treat you well enough."
"huh master, you... You don't...believe me..." stuttering the old man looked up at the crown prince and felt saddened at the fact even after all the years of working for him he still didn't believe him.
"Sorry old man it appears you've gotten old, don't worry I'll make sure you live the rest of your life in peace." his statement left no room for argument as he opened the door and handed his assistant to the guards.
Lying under the warmth of the sun with her wings spread out she smiled running her hand through blades of grass whilst trying to connect with nature.
"Having fun?" the man who bought her leaned overhead blocking her face from the sun, "You seem to have broken my assistant, how are you going to fix this?"
"..."
"Take your wings off." he ordered tired of her ignorance, if he allowed this to continue he'd end up becoming a laughing stock.
Puzzled she stood up to face him.
"Now."
Shaking her head she stood her ground while clenching her fists.
"I paid for you, so do as I say!" he shouted enraged at her ignorance.
Stepping forwards after her continued disobedience, he grabbed her wing making her hiss in defence.
Looking closely he saw her eyes go completely red like some sort of demon making him stumble, "What the hell?!" Rubbing his eyes, he looked again and saw them revert back to normal. Maybe he was mistaken.
"L-leeeef-v-e me ahhhhh-lllohhn" she struggled.
"Hahaha, you dare to... I paid 100 million gold for you and you want me to leave you alone" his sinister tone gave away his anger.
Scared at his anger, she pushed him into the ground and ran off into the forest on the edge of the lake.
"grrrr, stop right there!" he growled as he ran after her.
"N-no lev meh ah-one! " she yelled back as she increased her speed. She would have flew if it weren't for the fact that she had already strained her wings enough for that day.
Regreting exhausting herself, she panted against a tree as her heart thumped through her chest in fear.
'surely he wouldn't find me her- *snap* shit guess not'
"Come out now! I'm not mad anymore, I won't hurt you! I'll even let you keep your wings on" he shouted in a sickly sweet tone. Angel could hear the man slowly becoming deranged as he chased after her.
Knowing he was too close for her to run off, she began to climb up the tree she was resting on and hid between its leaves.
"If you don't come out now you'll never leave the Palace again, this is your last warning!" he yelled louder. He was getting closer.
Angel who hadn't eaten in days began to feel dizzy and sick, hunching over she grabbed her stomach and waited as she felt tears trickle down her face.
'just leave me alone' As she rested her eyes she gently drifted into a deep slumber to escape the pain.
