Chapter 8 - Auctioned Angel (Part 7)

Snapping out from her daze, she realised they were both lying naked again although he was asleep and showed no signs of waking up.

"Hmm I'm hungry but..." she looked back and thought he wouldn't like it if she went ahead and ate on her own, "I'll just go for a walk then."

She began laughing internally as she imagined the panic he'd be in waking to find she wasnt there. Quietly, she snuck out into a hallway that led to some stairs heading down to the bottom floor.

Hopping down, she realised that it was early morning and people were still in bed not that it would be of any difference to her as she didn't care what they thought as she pranced around the house not wearing anything. Everyone in heaven did the same, it seemed humans had just made it custom for clothes to be worn.

As she reached the bottom, she noticed the doors she had entered on her first day, "the garden must be that way."

Opening them, she welcomed the morning breeze and sounds of the early morning birds. Stepping in the cold pathing she jumped up and gulped, her fear of the cold she developed after being left outside in a cage for days by the auctioneer.

" No I need to get over this." she stepped down and ran as fast as she could before she could no longer feel the cold on her feet. Laughing she flapped her wings and came of the ground making her want to fly further. Shooting up, she screamed in excitement as she flipped and turned like a fairy.

'Huh- who's that staring at me from the balcony? Oh shit! He woke up and he doesn't seem too happy with me leaving...How exciting ahaha!'

Giggling she glided down to where he was standing and landed her feet on the balcony. Anger boiled on the surface of his face but looking deeper she could see he felt betrayed.

"Why?" his one worded question gave away his hurt as she left him alone. Crouching down on the railing, she patted his head and reached her hand out for his.

"I came back didn't I?"

"..."

"Come on I want forgiveness not more things you feel wronged by." she joked as his hand slipped into hers. Pulling him up, his eyes widened not realising what she was going to do.

"W-wait your not wearing clothes yet someone will see a-and- ahhhhh!" he screamed as she wrapped her arms around him and jumped off. Thinking he was going to die he was surprised when nothing followed.

"Wow your surprisingly mentally weaker than I imagined. You can open your eyes you know." she lulled as he fluttered his lashes open to the sight of floating in the air.

"r-right... now let's go d-down now!" he stumbled as she laughed at him.

"Tell me you forgive me and I will."

"No"

"why?"

"Because I feel like you'll dissappear forever and I don't want that to happen."

"hmm, why do you need me so much?" it was one of the most frequent questions on her mind as she struggled to find a reason.

"Because I love you." it wasn't surprising but she still didn't know why he would as far as she was concerned he must have hated her to do the things he's done.

"Thats a shame but I'm already married... Oh well you'll have to give up on that dream." she mocked as he almost fell out her grip , "be careful"

"M-married, y-you're married" he rambled as his mind shot back to the last night, "b-but we did those things and you didn't-"

"hahaha ha" she laughed hysterically at his response, " I'm joking, but it is against God's wishes for an angel and human to marry even if we did we'd face bad luck all our life."

"why? Why is it!?" he raged as his fists clenched.

"Because humans get addicted to Angel's very easily and sometimes kill them in fear they'll leave. Telling by your reaction you're already hooked, the best thing you can do is tear yourself apart from me." she warned.

"N-no! I'm not letting you leave there must be a way we can stay together, I'll find it." deluded by the newly found facts he hadn't realised tears had started running down his face. Deciding it was best to head back, she glided down to the balcony and placed him onto the floor.

"You don't suit being a crybaby" she lied as something tugged at her heart.

" I promise I won't kill or cage you so d-don't leave me p-please" he crumbled to his hands and knees, pleading for her to stay and for God to bless them.

"Doesn't matter how much you pray God never replies to the pleads of those who seek to claim an angels heart-" she felt a strain on her chest as soon as the words slipped out, "catch me..."

Fainting into his arms, she shut her eyes and opened them to a white space again.

"God?"

"Child how come this ruler is calling me to bless your relationship but has yet to forgive you" the voice boomed, making her swallow.

"w-well about that, how do I confirm whether he forgives me or not?"

"when he let's you go voluntarily, trusting you'll come back." he simply said making her freeze.

"w-what?! Are you cra- I mean are you sure? The guy is mental! " she screamed.

"well that's just the rules" he sighed.

"I thought you wrote the rules!"

"I do but they're not always decided by me the other high status angels also get a say."

"those! -"

"oh well bye bye"

"... gel, Angel! You're awake...thank god."

"why? he was the one who summoned me" she sighed. Looking around, she realised she was back in his room lying on the bed.

"here I thought you might be hungry so I ordered your maid to make you something" he passed over a tray with a selection of foods some of which she'd already had.

"This... what do you call it?" she picked up a flat circle shaped item.

"A pancake?" he replied, puzzled as to where she was going.

"Mmm I like pancakes!" she smiled, before devouring every last piece of her plate.

"Hahaha!" he laughed as he wiped some of the syrup of her face. Refluxively, Angel moved forward and licked it off his fingers causing the prince the freeze and gulp at the arousing action.

Unaware of the damage she'd caused, she jumped out the bed to go venture through the house more. Just as her feet reached the floor she felt herself flying backwards, hitting her head against a cushion.

"You shouldn't have tempted me like that..." he gritted as he tried to control his desire. Looking back angel realised where she went wrong.

"oohhh, sorry."she nervously laughed, trying to push him off to no avail,"*huff* excuse me can you let me go now. "

As she looked up at him with bambi eyes he couldn't control himself and pounced on top of her.

"Ngg, what are you... a sex demon?" she panted as she pushed him off her lips.

Wiping the moisture on his lips and licking it he smirked, "mmm, sweet."

"Sh-shut it!" she screamed in embarrassment as she flung a cushion at his head. Convincing herself he was talking about the syrup, she jumped out the bed still red faced.

"Where are you going?" he whined disappointed at her instant rejection.

"To look around, I hope you'll trust I'll come back as I already have before." she stated as she slipped into a pair of oversized slippers.

"Trust you?... No. I'll come with-" he started as he heard the door slam, "urghh... And she's stole my slippers too!"

Hunting around she discovered that the mansion had at least twenty guest room's, two libraries and several offices not to mention a room filled with family art and sculptures along with a secret room filled with what she assumed was a spare stash of cash in case royals ever went broke.

" Ughh, who knew it would be this boring *yawn*" she sighed as her fingers trailed over the wall beside her.

*clunk, clink*

Pausing she looked to her side realising there was a secret passage behind the wall, "hihihi looks like I've found something interesting."

The paint around the door began to crumble away as she pushed it open. Forcibly making her way inside she realised it was already pre-lit.

"Huh? Is someone down there already" she muttered as she strolled down the stone staircase.

Reaching the bottom she realised it was filled with chests and knights armour. Sighing at finding more rubbish, she turned around to leave but not before something hiding in the corner caught her eye.

Walking over, she pulled the white cloth off revealing a stack of paintings and a letter, "jeez just more rubbish and I finally thought I found something good..."

Looking closer she realised that they were different from the other paintings hung in the gallery. Yes the royals were still featured however one unmistakable thing had been added...

"an angel?"
