"Why don't we go for a red laced one like her majesty's eyes?" one maid suggested.
"No! It must be gold like her hair and wings." another adamantly stated as Angel stood in front of a mirror looking at different types of dresses all of which were dull and tedious.
"When am I going back home?" she sighed.
"Ohh! You miss his majesty, I see! We'll be as quick as possible so just wait a couple minutes." they both sung in tune, making Angel gag as she tried to deny their statements. Miss him. Absolutely, definitely. Not...
Earlier that morning ~~
"Now since you've signed the documents we must prepare for the wedding in a week." he hummed while signalling to Arnold, who had returned, to organise the decor and main events for the wedding.
"Ughhh sounds like effort, plus it'll all go to waste when God exacts his punishment. I might as well resign to being a fallen. Roaming the earth for millenniums and being used by humans." Angel moaned as she lay back on the couch, her back aching from the night before.
" Would fallen mean you'd never leave me, then good." he chirped up as he happily carried on with work. Angel wondered how someone could be happy working with sheets of paper for a system they had made up that was overly complicated and unnecessary.
" Ughhh... "she sighed, bored from having nothing to do in the mansion and too exhausted to fly.
" Why don't I go organise an appointment for your dress fitting? " he proposed," how about... Today? "
" Huh?! "
Present Time ~~
" You's can pick out a dress I'm not caring anymore..." she moaned but everyone was so engrossed with the dress styles to even listen," well bye then."
Strolling out from the shop, she realised the carriage driver wasn't around. Assuming he must be on break Angel decide to have a look around, surely there was something interesting in a busy city square like this.
As she walked on, she realised she had gotten lost between the swarms of people and could no longer find the carriage. Exhausted already, she found a alley in between some buildings to rest.
'I'll wait here for now until it dies down or they find me. I guess he'll think I ran off again.'
*Rustle rustle*
Turning around to see what was making the noise, she felt something wrap around her mouth.
"Ughh!" she enhaled the gas coming of the rag and began to feel light headed, eventually passing out.
Waking up, she realised she was tied to a chair in a wooden room and from the cold draft of forest air she guessed that nobody was coming to find her. She'd been kidnapped. Again.
"I must just have bad luck with these things..." she sighed as she heard voices nearing from outside the cabin.
*slam*
"Your up." a rough voice echoed as a scruffy hairy man stormed in with his equally scruffy buddy.
Reminded of the times the Prince had said your up, she felt sad, how come the same thing being said felt completely different.
'It's probably because he's handsome... Yep. That's it...'
As she became lost in thought, she didn't realise that one of the men walked behind her holding an axe.
"We're gonna be rich when we sell these wings. I wonder if they're made of real gold. Good thing our buddy within the palace let us know about this or else we'd probably be in serious debt. Haha." there boysterous talk deafened her as she began trembling.
They were going to chop her wings of. It was sure to hurt, even when the Prince tugged them they were extremely sensitive. If they were chopped of it would be unbearable.
'Please, someone save me... anyone... Prince I won't run away again, so please, come save me-"
*Crash*
A large hole surfaced in the wall of the cabin, revealing a squad of soldiers who quickly disarmed the two men and imprisoned them.
Tears began uncontrollably falling down Angel's face as she saw the man she couldn't stop thinking about's. The Prince had answered her prayer, perhaps he listened to her more than God himself did.
As he marched forward, she could see the pain and worry on his face. Cutting her free, he wrapped his arms around her in embrace, terrorfied to let her go.
"I w-won't r-run away again s-so d-don't leave me" she trembled finally feeling secure in his arms.
"Don't worry the people who colluded against you have been placed in custody and will be undoubtedly executed for kidnapping and attempting to harm a royal or maybe two." he smiled as he put his hand on her belly.
"Y-you moron. I won't get pregnant with y-your child" she choked as she laughed at his childishness.
"You never know miracles can happen. Nobody thought an angel would come down and bless earth. But they received you." he smiled, wiping the tears from under her eyes.
Feeling drained, she became needy and for once wanted to act spoilt by the man she never wanted to show her weakness to. Holding her hands up, she shot him down with her tear stained bambi eyes.
" W-what?" he coughed, pretending not to catch on.
"P-pick me up" she mumbled quietly.
"I couldn't hear you could you repeat it?" he teased.
"PICK ME UP!!" she yelled, clenching her eyes shut as her face turned beet red in embarrassment.
"OK ok hahaha..." he laughed as he picked her up bridal style and carried her to the carriage.
On the way home, she told him what happened and that she didn't try to run away but someone within the Palace had colluded with the perpetrators.
"hahaha, I know. I've already got everyone involved don't worry I believe you. But one thing doesn't add up... I asked you to get a dress so what were you doing on the street wandering two hours before the appointment ended?" he furrowed his brows as she mischievously pouted and pointed out the window to divert the conversation.
" Look at the sunset this is like those cringy moments where an airheaded female lead goes of with an egoistic male lead and lives happily ever grotesque. Hahaha" she chuckled.
"Hmm and how are we different?" he teased as she puffed her cheeks out.
"I'm not an airhead! Angels are the second most intelligent species after God. I'm even more intelligent than you so it is different. Plus I don't do the flamboyant lifestyle, I'm quite happy just to eat pancakes and lounge around in a garden all day long so ha! "she bragged, forgetting to justify the Prince not being egoistic.
"... And me? "
" Well... Ummm... You, your!...oh-oh! Not greedy and dishonest. Its been written by God and the Divinity so it must be true. " she exhaled as his face dropped.
" But what do you think... About me?" he sounded depressed as he looked down and began twiddling his thumbs.
"hmmmm..." she thought about it but leaned forward and whispered in his ears, "It's something like... thinking about you all the time, wanting to see you, wanting to annoy you and tease you so your thinking of me aswell. My heart beats when I'm near you and thinking of you and it hurts when you don't believe what I say. You are my saviour but I want you to be my lover, hihi. "
Taken aback by the sudden confession, he blushed and began stuttering.
" Calm down. I already know how you feel. Hahhh... Feels like a burden has been taken off my chest. " she sighed.
" S-since w-when? "he stumbled, unsure of whether he wanted to know.
" When you smiled at me and held out your hand while completely degrading the auctioneer, haha so funny! "she broke out into hysterical laughter recalling the moment.
" Huh?! But that was the first time we met! "he exclaimed in disbelief.
" Yeah"
"Why didn't you tell me?" he sounded baffled.
"well... You seemed pissed when we got here. Then you tried to rip of my wings and chased me when I ran away. Then you held me captive twice and in between that you were trying to stop me leaving by having sex. Plus it wouldn't work out well for us to fall in love, but since it's come to this I might as well resign to fate. You'll become an angel when you die anyway so we'll be together regardless. " she rattled off.
" Woah Woah hold up, I'll become an angel when I die anyway... "he grinned excitedly as he wrapped his arms around her.
" Well yeah from what I've inferred good doing royals will ascend however before you even suggest suicide to hurry things up. That'll stop you becoming an angel as you haven't done a lifetimes worth of good deeds."
"oh... Well. Let's spend a happy eternity together, " he gleefully proposed as the sun set into darkness, "see we're nothing like the stereotypical stories Angel."
"Hmm, let's have a happy and peaceful eternity Prince be it earth or heaven I'll never run again."
