Nefretiri
"When you're ready to leave, just call for me." the security officer nods before closing the door behind him.
Peering at everything in the room, I finally let it out. So, leaning against the closest wall, I slide down to the ground. This was too big. I had to absorb everything too quickly, and I had no answers to show for it, only more questions.
"Nefera?" Ivan comes over, crouching beside me. "Talk to me, baby."
"This is too much," I mutter, covering my face. Taylor wasn't allowed to come in. So, only Ivan could be here with me, and I was glad because I couldn't do this alone. "I don't think I can do this."
"Baby," Grabbing my hands, Ivan pulls them down to look at my face.
"What's going on, Ivan?" staring up at him, I appreciate he doesn't have the answers, but it feels good to ask it anyway. "I know I keep asking, but this isn't getting smaller or less complicated."
