"Go back to sleep, baby." Ivan's voice whispers to me when he feels me stirring. When did the room get so dark? His hands move off my body, but I reach out and grab him again.
"Stay with me," I mutter, dragging him down. That makes him chuckle, and he kisses my forehead.
"I'm not going anywhere."
"No, that's not what I mean," Shaking my head at him, I pull the blanket off and pat the spot beside me. "I mean here."
He's silent for a while. Did I throw him off? Ivan's seen me naked, for crying out loud. This was nothing compared to that. Why was it so shocking that I'd like him to lie down with me? Then, I feel the bed shift as Ivan climbs in behind me, and I sigh in relief when the blanket covers us both. His arm wraps around my middle, pulling me closer.
"What time is it?" I ask when he's settled in.
"Six."
"Did they get here yet?"
Around that time, Steven and Taylor were supposed to come with Penelope.
