Growing up in the rough part of town, I was always cautious of my surroundings and ensured that I wasn't in the wrong place at the wrong time. Adonis thought, waking up and taking a look at his surroundings.
"Where am I? Is this a factory? Dang, it's cold in here. Am I naked?" Adonis said, looking down.
Adonis was naked on a hospital bed with a blanket covering him. He then sees three other people in hospital beds—one next to him and two in front of him.
"What's up with all this sketch equipment? Some of these look like they came out of a sci-fi video game." Adonis thought, continuing to look around.
"Is that . . . Natasha? Natasha! Natasha! Babe, please wake up from me." Adonis shouted as loud as he could.
Natasha starts to wake up slowly.
"Why do you keep yelling, honey? What's wrong?" Natasha says as she slowly opens her eyes.
"What the? Where are we, Adonis?" Natasha says she starts to panic.
"Thank God you're awake. I'm not sure. Maybe they're stealing our organs or something." Adonis says.
"Huh, no, that can't be it. I don't see any medical equipment they would need to do that." Natasha says.
"What I want to know is who the hell took off my clothes," Natasha said with rage in her voice.
Blue fog that seemed to be controlled started flying around the factory then landed between the four beds in the middle of the factory. A Biracial looking woman with dreads and a Dark skin black man with a top hat and a suit came out of the blue fog.
"Welcome, welcome. All of your questions will be answered by me, the Shadowman." The man with the top had said.
Natasha was so pissed she didn't even worry about how these people seemingly came from thin air.
"Yea, who the hell took off my clothes!" Natasha roared.
Everyone in the room raised an eyebrow, including Adonis.
"What my wife means is why did you bring us here? If you need money, we can wire it to you easily if you let us go. Adonis said in a calm voice.
The man with the top hat identified as The Shadowman smiles at Adonis's words.
"That must be the lawyer in you to try already to get to negotiations. But you see here, son, there is no getting out of what's about to be done to you. We need your minds in order not to be erased from this world.
"Huh? What is this talking about? And Shadowman? Isn't that some guy from folklore around here?" Natasha said.
The women with the dreads smiled.
"There is always a little truth in fiction. Sometimes fantasy is easier to believe than reality." The woman said.
Natasha rolled her eyes.
"I'm a woman of science, don't spit out that all folklore is true nonsense to me."
"Mind your words, Natasha, I'm almost positive that these people did come from thin air. I didn't hear a sound in the room until they appeared from that blue fog. Adonis said.
"Ooo, we were right about this one's instincts. Sharp as a tact, I see." The Shadowman said.
"How come these other two people haven't woken up yet? Are they dead?" Natasha says with a hint of fear in her voice.
"I'm sure both of you have heard my name before. Tell me, what is it that I do? What am I the master of? The shadow man said, hitting his wand on the ground.
"Voodoo…" Adonis reluctantly says.
"Voodoo? What the hell is that exactly?" Natasha said, confused.
Without turning around. The Shadowman said. "Raven."
Raven takes a step in front of the Shadowman and raises one of her hands. Blue fog starts to surround her hand, and then more fog starts to make a circle beneath her hand.
From the ground rose a dog skeleton, then it started to grow flesh and fur. It looked like a typical rottweiler at first glance, but as Adonis and Natasha looked at it closer, they could see it looked anything but normal.
It looked around 250 pounds with grayish black and brown fur. Its eyes were clouded like it was blind, and it had stitches on parts of its body.
"Voodoo is the practice of coming in contact with the dead and bringing it back. What you see before you is a Chimera." Raven says she pets the dog.
"We go Voodoo, Hoodoo, we got things you have never seen. Please take a good look at the bodies next to you because you'll be living in them until well the earth stops spinning. The Shadowman man says as he waves his hand making Adonis and Natasha fall asleep.
