Chapter 25 - IT'S NOT PROVEN

That night, Vania typed her resignation letter near the swimming pool. She looked seriously at the laptop screen and composed the right sentence. She wanted to end hell at work. Survive or not, the result is the same. She would still be hated by Rosa and Rosa would continue to torture her.

Vania's consciousness was completely broken by the incident during the coverage of the Klitih gang. Her life was considered so cheap by Rosa. Just because of a small salary, she almost lost her life. What was the use of working if her life had to be sacrificed so easily?

In fact, there are still many jobs that are safer and more comfortable for Vania to do.

A warm hug hugged Vania from behind. Vania stopped typing. When she looked back, Hayam had already kissed her lips softly.

"You are very serious," said Hayam. The man looked at Vania affectionately.

"I have to finish this resignation letter as soon as possible," said Vania. "After that, I can only focus on submitting proposals for my online media and maybe looking for one or two students to work part time with me."

Hayam head nodded in agreement. He knew that Vania was not stupid. Moreover, Vania studied at an elite university in Yogyakarta and worked as a reporter for quite a long time.

"Well, can't we just do it tomorrow?" asked Hayam. "It's late now and we can do something more interesting."

"Ah, you're just bothering me," said Vania. "If I don't send this resignation letter to Rosa's email soon, she will send me a more difficult job."

Hayam was silent for a moment. The man's grip loosened. He pulled a chair by Vania's side and sat there.

"Is she really hated you that long ago?" Hayam glanced at Vania.

Vania shook her head. She sighed for a moment. "We used to be good friends. In fact, she always gave me a leak when there was good news and had high selling power," explained Vania.

She reminisced about her good past with Rosa. "Because of Rosa's help, I was able to quickly get a raise and take out my mortgage. She was my best friend."

"I thought she was really mean to you from the start," said Hayam. "I'm sorry. I already suspected your friend."

Vania gave a small smile. She understood why Hayam suspected Rosa like that.

"It's all because I always say bad things about Rosa. In fact, she's not completely bad, really, "explained Vania.

"If you said Rosa was nice, you would think of your ex as a nice guy," said Hayam. The man snorted slightly.

Vania smiled. She knew that Hayam was jealous.

Vania's hand moved to rub Hayam's cheek. She could feel the surface of Hayam's jaw which was a bit rough due to the fine hairs of the sideburns growing there.

"Would you like me to help shave your beard?" she asked.

"Why all of a sudden? You're not bribing me anymore, are you?" said Hayam. "I don't like being bribed. I want to be an honest official."

"I'm not bribing you anymore, Honey. I want to treat you well and sweetly," Vania pinched the top of the nose of the man who would become her husband.

"I want your mood to improve so you can sleep well tonight."

"How do you know I'm in a bad mood now?" replied Hayam. He pretended to be indifferent in front of Vania. In fact, his heart was very happy because he got the attention of this beautiful woman.

"Come on. You're jealous, right?" guess Vania honestly. She doesn't like to keep secrets in a relationship. Moreover, she wanted her relationship with Hayam to run smoothly without any obstacles. Honesty and loyalty are important capital to maintain a relationship.

"I'm not jealous. You think I'm an unstable teenager?" said Hayam.

"You are in your second puberty. Of course you can act like an unstable teenager. It's not something to be ashamed of," replied Vania. She laughed sweetly. "You look so cute when you're jealous like this. You're absolutely adorable!"

Hayam commented with a small smile. "I may be jealous but you don't seem to like the guy anymore," said Hayam. "You never bring it up in front of me again."

Vania nodded in agreement. She really enjoyed her relationship with Dio. However, Vania's heart is actually not too attached to Dio. On the other hand, Vania's heart still loves Hayam. Because of that, Vania immediately turned towards Hayam when Hayam approached her.

"Shall I tell you a secret?" Vania replied.

"What secret?" Hayam frowned.

"I'll finish my typing first," said Vania. She realized that she had to finish typing her resignation letter immediately.

Hayam nodded in understanding. The man gave permission to Vania to finish the rest of the work.

While waiting, Hayam took a snack. He opened the boiled peanut shell and ate it. Sometimes he feeds Vania.

"Eat this. You must have the energy to let out all your complaints," Hayam's crisp laugh sounded.

Vania laughed too. "It seems you are very happy to see me in pain," Vania took the peanut shell beside her left hand. She threw the peanut shell in Hayam's face.

Hayam was surprised to get the peanut shell toss. "Honey, this includes domestic violence, you know," said Hayam. "You are a reporter. Why are you behaving like this?"

Vania stuck out her tongue. She mocked Hayam to her heart's content.

"Who told you to irritate me," replied Vania. "Shut up. I want to concentrate on writing my resignation letter. Do you want me to marry you soon or not?"

"Yes, of course I want to marry you as soon as possible," said Hayam honestly.

There was not the slightest doubt from the look in his eyes and gestures. Vania stopped typing. For some reason, she remembered about Dio.

In the past, when Dio proposed to Vania, Dio didn't seem like a restless man. Dio proposed to Vania seriously and cheerfully. In fact, Dio only made Vania a mistress.

"You really don't have any relationships with other women besides me, do you?" she asked.

She looked seriously and fiercely at Hayam. Hayam gasped silently. This time, Vania's question was a bit strange.

"Why do you suddenly ask like that?" replied Hayam.

Vania sighed restlessly. She lowered her head and grabbed Hayam's fingers. Her feelings immediately turned gloomy. Slowly Vania told about Dio who didn't seem at all hesitant when he lied to her.

"He proposed to me and put a ring on my ring finger. I thought I was the only special woman in his life, but he lied," said Vania in a voice that was painful and heart-wrenching. "I'm afraid that you're actually like Dio."

"Vania, your fear is not proven," said Hayam. "You've stayed at my house before and you haven't met anyone but me and my maid. In my house, there are only pictures of me hanging on the walls. What other kind of evidence do you need?"

"I don't know, I don't even know.

I'm worried," said Vania. She just wanted to pour out her heart to Hayam. Hayam was silent for a moment.

He immediately got up from his seat and took out his cell phone. He unlocked his cell phone and gave it to Vania. "Just check the contents of my cellphone.

I hope you are one hundred percent sure of my loyalty, "Hayam said with full sincerity.
