After smelling the rotting stench emanating from the house, Danse immediately called some people over. "Hey! I think we got a problem over here." "What's up Dan?" Asked a Investigator Peter Wilson, as he walked over to Danse. "There's a rotting smell coming from this home, as if something is dead..." Walking to the door Danse kicked the door in, releasing a downright horrible stench.
"What happened here for such a terrible smell to happen? Who lives here? Dan does your power state who lives here?" Peter was having a hard time trying not to throw up, the smell coming out was horrid, like a room full of corpses in July.
"Um, this may be a bit more difficult than with Bill." Danse after using his power and using the radio to double check started to sweat. "How so? Worse than the Diamond family steamrolling everybody here in the name of vengeance?"
"Y-yes, the owner here is a Malorn Shadowheart, direct family but unpowered." Danse replied to Peter while starting to shake. The Shadowhearts are even worse than the Diamond family in some regards. While they don't defend their descendants for everything they are extremely cruel with revenge for deaths of the young and weak. The leader of this family of death based powers is even titled, The Reaper, an X ranked Powered.
"Quick! Check and make sure he's actually alive or this entire slum district and will be wiped out! If he's not, gather as many as possible and start an evacuation! Including us!" Peter, extremely serious now instantly came up with this plan on the spot. Rushing to the source of the smell, looking in the room he fell to his knees and vomited.
The room in question was just horrible. The 'corpse' on the bed was a rotting fester thing with a huge amount of blood everywhere. The bed it was looked like it was soaked in blood along with the floor around it. There was gaps in the flesh on the person where bones where visible. Along with a popping and squelching noise and the body was 'rotting' further.
Danse, seeing Peter's reaction from down the hall, instantly left the house calling the station. "Quickly, call an evacuation, a child of the Shadowhearts has died! We must all leave! NOW!" Danse yelled into the radio as the officers outside upon hearing this knocked on people's doors and told them to run due to an incoming catastrophe. After telling some residents they got in their cars or if their house was closer ran home to get their families. Unfortunately it's already too late.
Unknown to the children of the family, their own blood is linked to the ancestor/head The Reaper through 1 of his abilities. That's right 1 of them, as he a total of 5 abilities related to death and 1 of them specifically his bloodline. Upon realizing that 1 of his descendants died, he ordered the family to exterminate the area he died in, as to commemorate his life and passing. His place of death would be sealed so that no intruders can gain entry.
