(Different POV)
Here sits a large area of dead trees and grass going for miles. It's extremely silent with only a howl here and there or a slight sound of the wind. Around many of these trees are what appears to be headstones. Some of the headstones are crumbling or others are newer. And in the dead center of this land of death and decay is a large castle.
The castle in question is entirely black with crimson streaks running down it's walls. On the walls it has spikes adorned with black skulls lining the entirety of it. As well as odd twisting symbols that give one a sense of despair and unease covering the outside of it as well as a single road leading to a huge gate. A gate that stands over 40ft tall and 20 feet wide somewhat resembling a ribcage holding a glowing green orb in the center. This orb, can be considered to be even more creepy as it has a slit pupil staring right at the road. And currently it's staring right as a man dressed in a suit who is shivering.
The man who came to this place is our familiar person named Danse. And he came to the Home of Death, to seek employment. The home in question is the castle. The main home of the Shadowheart family and lair of The Reaper. Danse having lost his job as his home and place of work before had become a literal land of death is here to get a job by those who did the deed.
"Um hello, my name is Danse, I was invited to gain a job here as an investigator of your family." After standing there for a few minutes after saying that the gates produced a slit down the center including the orb. With a creaking sound they opened sending a wave a fear down the spine of Danse. On the other side a man in a white robe with a black heart symbol was standing waiting for him, a stark contrast to this place of death and decay. "Welcome Danse, to our humble home, a survivor I might add. You had survived a burial cleansing a few years back and instead of seeking for revenge came for employment. A very rare thing to happen. Come inside and we will speak more for your employment" The burial cleansing in question was when our dear Malorn started his evolution. It's already been 3 years since then and Malorn is about to awaken.
