After he tried running a few times, Abel was finally able to get used to the speed and although sometimes he will lose control due to overexcitement. After about five minutes of running, Abel could finally see their house.
"It is almost time to go to bed" mutter Abel as he could still some of the lights are on.
Making it to the entrance, Abel was just about to go in but only for him to be forced back by an invincible force while feeling a stinging pain in his hand.
"Make sure you are invited into a home else you won't be able to go in" Mr. McCray's words sounded in his head once more.
Letting out a deep sigh, Abel extended his hand as he knocked on the door but there was no response from the other side.
"Could it be that they have already done to sleep? No that's not it, I can still hear some footstep" said Abel as he decided to give it another knock but this time around he applied some force to the knocking and his mother's family replied.
"Give me a minute" she said.
It didn't take long before the door was open and his mother was standing in her nightwear seeming ready to go to sleep and seeing the one knocking was no other than her son who has been playing outside after school.
"You really have a lot of explaining to do young man" said his mother as she turn around making her way to the living room.
"Can I come in"? asked Abel with a worried look on his face.
"Of course, you can young man, what is wrong with you today" replied his mother with a confused look on her face.
After he has been invited, Abel let out a sigh of relief since he thought that his mother will trouble him.
"I thought you would be angry as to sent me out for coming home this late" said Abel as he walked in.
"What kind of a mother would I be if I were to chase you away" replied his mother but that was when she noticed that Abel's Face was a little pale and she has to ask.
"Did you get into trouble with someone on your way back".
"No mother, it's just that I am exhausted after the stress at school" replied Abel.
"then you before grab something before going to bed alright" said his mother before giving him a light kiss on the cheek before going to bed.
After his mother left for bed, Jason went into the kitchen as he begin to arrange something to eat which didn't take long before he was done preparing noodles. Abel begins to eat the noodles and the moment he places the noodles in his mouth, it was like his taste bud was rejecting the food, and the moment he forced the food down his throat, he has almost thrown up.
"How come I can't eat normal food like a normal human being" complain Abel as he tried eating the noodles.
After many attempts of swallowing the noodle and still feeling like throwing up, Abel decided to call it a day as he went to bed to try and get some sleep but unfortunately for him, he couldn't get asleep and had to stay awake all day.
"I can't believe I actually stay up all night, I have to get out of here before mum notices something strange about me" said Abel as he got off the bed before Maria would.
Making his way out, the first thing that greeted him was the sunlight and Abel has to shade his eyes since he hasn't adjusted to his new identity. Leaving a note behind to inform his mother that he needed to get something done in school which is while he had to leave.
Abel was all dripping in sweat when he got to school and he look really weak as he made his way to the class only to see that Mr. McCray was waiting inside the class.
"I knew you would be coming this early, so tell me how was your first day as a vampire" asked Mr. McCray.
"it was horrible, I couldn't eat foods that I usually love eating, I couldn't sleep and to top it up I became weak when here like I am out of energy" reply Abel angrily.
"Calm down boy, you will get used to it soon enough, and as for not being able to sleep at night, it's because you are a nightwalker and you are supposed to be asleep by now" said Mr. McCray.
"This is bad, how am I supposed to leave as a normal human being" complain Abel as he went to seat down while resting his hand on his hair.
"you are not a normal human but an undead. I told you what you are getting yourself into before turning you but you didn't listen, so stop acting like a baby" said Mr. McCray.
"I just wanted to live and not to be tormented" said Abel with grit teeth and his eyes begin to glow bright gold.
"I see that you haven't fed on blood after getting and let me warn you, it better you do as soon as possible before you get more thirstier while getting weak and if you still can't feed on blood, you will burn to ash. By the learn to control your emotions you are now a vampire for Christ's sake" replied Mr. McCray.
"Is it necessary that I feed on blood?" asked Abel after hearing that he would die if he fails to feed on blood.
"It is very important you nourish your body twice a day" stated Mr. McCray instead of answering Abel's question before walking out of the class but before he could get too far from the class, Mr. McCray mutter.
"by the way you look stunning today" the words were not loud but Abel heard it quite well like the words were spoken in front of him.
