Chapter 9 - First Kill

The beast tried to free himself from the tree in which it was stuck but no matter how hard it try, it still couldn't free itself due to the injury it has incur from the newcomer and seeing that the beast has already been put in its place, Abel let out a sigh before resting on the ground as he tries to catch his breath.

"I was not causing any trouble Mr. McCray, I only went into the wood to hunt some animals since it is the easiest way for me to feed only for him to attack me and I think he is the same beast that attacked me the other day" said Abel in pain as the injury in his stomach don't seem to be healing.

"He is the same werewolf that attack you on your way home alright" replied Mr. McCray before turning around to look at Abel only to see that his wound is not healing.

"You have lost so much blood for your body to heal on its own and if things were to continue like this, I am afraid to say that you will die for sure" added Mr. McCray with a frown on his face.

"Can you lend me one of those blood bags you had with you?" asked Abel with a painful expression on his face.

"I am afraid it won't be enough for you to heal a wound of these levels" replies Mr. McCray as he shook his head.

"what am I supposed to do then" asked Abel as tears of blood begin to flow from his eyes.

"Will you stop crying and let me think for once" Mr. McCray yelled at him when seeing him act like a baby.

Seems like the yelling works as Abel kept his mouth shut as he tries to bear the pain while Mr. McCray falls silent as he begins to think of a way to feed Abel enough blood to heal his wound but that was when the werewolf begin to howl gaining Mr. McCray attention.

"This could also work" he said with a brilliant smile as he turned to Abel and told him about his idea.

"Since you went to the wood to hunt for animals, why don't you use the blood of this dog to replenish your blood since he could also be considered an animal".

"you…you want me to drink his blood" asked Abel with a shaken voice.

"Isn't that what you went to the wood to do and let me advise you, you are losing more blood which would only make things difficult for us if it were to continue like this".

Abel went into a short silence to think the matter through before turning to Mr. McCray and said.

"I would love to feed on his blood to recover but how am I supposed to do that when I can't even move my legs".

"That won't be a problem" reply Mr. McCray with a cunning smile before heading to the werewolf who had been paying close attention to what they were saying.

Seeing the newcomer walking towards him, he knew straight away that he won't be able to see the next morning.

Mr. McCray has a disdain look on his face while he was looking at the werewolf before placing his hand on his neck before pulling him out of the wood that he was stuck and what seemed like a deep wound could be seen in his stomach with blood gashing out at an incredible rate.

"Since you are so interested in hunting the vampire down and causing the innocent trouble, why don't you prove yourself to be useful again to our new turn" said Mr. McCray before breaking the werewolf jaw rendering him useless before Abel.

"He's now yours" gesture Mr. McCray for Abel to begin his feast.

With the werewolf being placed before him, Abel didn't where to start from since it is his first.

"Wait, how am I supposed to go about it" he asked.

"just get in close to your mouth in an attempt to bite him and your vampire instinct will kick considering how weak you are now, it should be easy for you" replied Mr. McCray.

Nodding his head, Abel draws himself close to the werewolf who keeps struggling to move, Abel lowers his head towards the werewolf as he places his teeth on his neck and the next thing Abel moment, Abel could feel his teeth from the sides growing before they pierce into the werewolf skin as a low howl left his mouth.

Abel begin to suck his blood while the werewolf tried freeing himself from his hold but it was to no avail. Meanwhile, Mr. McCray was just watching from the side while standing as guardian.

After drinking for some time, the wound that he has suffered from earlier begin to heal the more blood he drinks until there was no scratch on him but he still couldn't stop himself from drinking more.

"that's enough Abel"  yell Mr. McCray as he went forward to pull him off the werewolf but the moment he tries pulling him off, the werewolf's neck just snap and he just stopped moving which could only mean he's dead.

Abel finally came to his senses after the death of the werewolf as he stood up with his mouth stained with blood.

"You lost yourself kid" said Mr. McCray as he passed him a handkerchief.

Wiping his mouth clean, Abel turns his gaze to the werewolf who has just reverted to a human as he mutters fearfully.

"I killed him".

"He brought it upon himself and if it weren't for me helping out, it would have been you who is laying dead so don't blame yourself" said Mr. McCray as he tries to console him.

Abel's expression suddenly changes from that of worry into relief after hearing Mr. McCray's words.

"You are right, I was only trying to protect myself from harm" agreed Abel with a nod.

"Good to see that you are back to your usual self again" said Mr. McCray before taking the werewolf body along with him into the tower with Abel following from behind.
