Leaving their place of hiding, Abel was in lead as he walked close to the building to inspect it for a week spot while Lydia followed from behind and just as he was about to place his hand on the wall, he suddenly heard a scream belonging to a lady from inside before it went silent after a dull 'thud" sound.
"They are already on it" mutter Abel before punching a hole on the wall to create a hole for him to take a peep after what is happening inside.
Lowering his body to take a look after what is going on inside the building, the sight that came to view was really shocking as he could see the witches speaking incantation before launching an attack at Mr. McCray who avoided them effortlessly before attacking one of the witches. But just that little distraction was all the leader needed for him to land a hit on him as he was blown away while slamming into the wall.
After successfully sending him flying, the witches begin to create a more powerful spell before sending it at him since he is still on the ground but before the attack could hit him this time around, Mrs. Davis was already standing before him as she let out a scream which deflected the attack before getting all the witches on their knees while covering their ears.
"C-a-n someone please take care of that banshee" yelled the leader of the witch after some time.
Meanwhile, Abel who was peeping from outside was also in pain as blood could be seen flowing from his ears.
"make it stop" said Abel with gritted teeth as he tries to endure the pain but no matter how he tries to endure the pain, the more the pain is becoming difficult for him to endure until Lydia pulled him back from the wall and it was only then did the pain quiet down but he could still hear the ringing in his head.
"Thanks Lydia, I owe you a lot" said Abel as he let out a breath of relief.
"Here, I think you should wipe your ears" commented Lydia as she passed him a white cloth.
Taking the cloth from her, Abel wipes his ear clean of blood before turning his attention back to the building.
"Who would Have thought that a banshee scream could be this painful" said Abel.
"is your ear still hurting" asked Lydia while dodging his question.
"yeah, apart from a little ring here and there, I am doing fine" replied Abel with a smile before getting up from the ground and going back to the wall to take a look since the scream has died down.
Looking through the hole, he could see some witches laying down while grumbling in pain but there are some that have a white barrier around them which seems to protect them against the scream. It was especially so for the leader who has a lady floating behind her.
"What is that lady doing floating behind the leader and why does it seem like the scream has no effect on him" Abel wonder when seeing the leader standing fine.
"I think he might have used some spell to nullify the scream" Lydia guess before tugging on Abel.
"Are we just going to stand here doing nothing instead of going in there to help out".
"look Lydia, I know you really want to be of some help to your parents but I suggest that we watch the fight for a little longer and when the leader has his guard lowered, that's when we'll go in to lend a hand" replied Abel.
Lydia went silent as she also reasons his words and discovered that the whole fight will come to an end if they were to successfully take the leader hostage but the problem is how are they going to accomplish that when the leader is on guard.
Meanwhile, back in the building after the scream has come to an end, Mrs. Davis turn to Mr. McCray who was still on the ground and since he was close to her, he did not suffer from the scream.
"Are you okay?" she asked.
"Yeah, I never knew they would be able to grow this powerful" replied Mr. McCray
"you got that right and by the look of things, I don't think we'll be able to beat them" said Mr. Davis.
The witches seem to at number them with the leader healing those that are affected by the scream earlier so before long they were already encircled.
"you fools, do you actually think that you would be able to stop us from reviving master Rebecca" said the leader in a deep voice after making sure that the three has already been trapped.
"Derrick, dealing with the dead is not an easy feat so I would advise you to stop that plan of yours" commented Mr. McCray with a frown.
"And look who is talking. If I remember clearly, you were the one who is responsible for master Rebecca's death" said the leader.
"Your master was obsessed with power and even thought of sacrificing innocent blood just so she can become immortal just so she can be in control forever" reply Mr. McCray
"you killed her just because she was trying to pursue her goal but now we are going to achieve that goal after she has been reborn into this body" said the leader coldly.
"come on, we both know that there is no way you will be able to do that so why make a boosting claim" Mr. McCray chuckled as he asked the question.
"Ha-ha, why would I make a boosting claim when I have a creature that never ages or die in my possession. As long I am able to acquire your blood, accomplishing my master goal shouldn't be a problem" replied the leader before ordering the rest witches to tie them up.
Hearing that he planned to use his blood, Mr. McCray's expression suddenly turns serious but there is nothing he can do as they were being outnumbered by the witches and before long, they were already tied up.
