From the moment he first laid his eyes on her back in tenth grade. He should have known she would be his very end. They were like two completely different opposite sides., but what could the boy do. The beauty of the brown-haired nymph swept him completely off his sturdy feet. She was like the goddess, and he was just the mud under her feet.. At a point he had believed he could be the Adonis loved by this Aphrodite..
Isla Moore, the tenth grader every senior was dying to claim as theirs.. Beauty was too shallow a word to classify her with.. Her long brown hair that was like the grasses dancing to the tune of the wind in an open field swayed graciously above her hips, her eyes the color of the Caribbean sea, blue and clear. So clear that you wouldn't mind drowning in them..
Her lashes like the soft feathers on the body of an owl, even her blinking was majestic.. Her luscious lips that looked like it was coated with strawberry, for it had the color of a fresh red camellia bloom..
For a young lady of five foot three, her body features were a perfect combo.. Her protruding breasts that bounced like soft balloons filled with water, her round hips moving seductively with every step she took.. Her long slender legs you couldn't help but notice whenever she was in her cheerleading uniform..
If she was an artifact, she was probably carved and sculptured by Michelangelo to perfection.. He most certainly would have taken more time to sculpt her than he took to sculpt the David.
But although he had noticed her from the very first time he walked into the school at the beginning of tenth grade when she the gorgeous and talented student was assigned to take him the new kid round the school, he had his eyes on her the whole time, barely taking note of the places she showed him., she never spoke to him again after the tour round the school..
Well at least not until twelfth grade...

"Mom., I told you I have nowhere to go.. And why does it feel like you're trying to chase me away from the house.. Eighteen years old nerdy Damon queried his mother for disturbing him..
" My point exactly, why won't you have anywhere to go to., you just clocked eighteen last month for heaven's sake.. You should be out there., partying, sneaking in and out of the house like kids your age do, coming back home late and making me worried.. That's what you're supposed to do.. The lovely Joan made herself comfortable on his bed.. He'd gotten his golden curls from her.. Well he'd gotten almost everything from her.
"wait let me get this straight mom., I'm a good kid, the best anyone can ask for, if I do say so myself... And yes I do say so myself... But you want a bad kid., you are saying now that you want me to give you headache...
" well yes that's what I'm saying. She replied sharply.. I mean I hardly and almost never have a reason to ground you or punish you at all.. You get good grades, you don't stay out at all not to talk about staying late., nothing.. You don't do anything wrong.. Don't you have any friends, why don't you have any friends?? She looked at her son with eyes filled with concern..
"Mom will you just drop it already please, I don't have friends and I don't have anywhere to go.. He said conclusively, turning back to his computer.
" but you do have a friend. His mother suddenly said in a sly tone. A girlfriend maybe." She added.
He turned around to look at his mother, she had that kind of smile that Kelvin from the movie Home alone had when he had wicked mischievous things planned for the bad guys..
What nonsense was she talking about now..
"oh don't give me that look.. She waves her hands at him as if to wipe the confused look of his face.. You think I don't know huh, I've seen her.. Don't pretend you don't know what I'm talking about.. She said when she saw he was still completely lost as to what she was talking about..
"I'm talking about the girl in your sketch-books.. And this was when the batteries in his head started functioning.. Oh now you remember.. You've drawn like a hundred different pictures of that girl.. Pictures of her standing., pictures of her sitting., looking out the window, cheer leading.. And a lot more that I can't remember right now...
"MOM!!!.. have you been going through my stuff.. He was quick to defend himself.. I have a life you know, and I deserve my privacy...
" oh so you agree she's your girlfriend..
"she's not my girlfriend mom.. His cheeks had so quickly turned the color of a rose.. She's just a classmate.
" well it's obvious that you have a crush on her or am I wrong... He's mother looked at him with high expectations in her eyes. She really desired a ruckus in the boys everyday boring life.
Damon looks at his mother for a while.. It's not like denying it would change anything, he knew for a fact that his mother would keep on pressing the matter., so there was no harm in telling someone how he felt..
"No.. No you're right.. I do have a crush on her..
" YES!!... Finally something interesting.. She yelled like she was just notified that she had won an award she didn't expect..
"so have you told this young lady about how you feel??
" NO.. NO.. God No., of course not.. I'm not crazy.. Do you know who she is, she's the most popular, most beautiful, most talented girl in school, the cheerleading president, every boys desire.., and when I say every boy I mean people like Henry Sheldon the basketball captain, Gabe Baxter the captain of the soccer team, and Justin Bieber...
"You made that last one up didn't you.. there's no way Justin Bieber is after that girl too...
" Okay fine I might have made that last one up, but you never know he might go on a music tour one day and meet her there, so he's also on the list...
"the list of what.. Joan asked confused..
" The list of potential boyfriends for her.. Come on mom focus..
"And where are you positioned on that list..
" oh I'm way at the bottom of the line.., way down." He uses his hand to motion a crashing plane.
" Look mom, the point remains there are way more cooler guys than me in and out of the school, and they all have their eyes on her.. I'll just be stupid to go to her.. I mean why would she pick me over all those potential guys.. Including Justin Bieber..
"Because even Justin can't be what you are...
" And what is that., a weird nerdy guy?? He asks sarcastically
"YOU.. No one can be you.. You're funny and nice and kind and loving., and the smartest kid I know... And I know you have a mirror, but I'm not sure you use it.. She walks up to him and turns his head slightly towards the mirror that stood near his bedside.. You are a dashing young man.. You've got the height., the looks, maybe it's time for a change of hairstyle, add some muscles, but everything else is perfect.. And besides, you sometimes forget but you're a King., your family owns and runs the big corporation.. So you're probably far more better than any of them.. Normal people would use their background as criteria to get the girl...
"No one even knows I'm 'that King'.. I'm just a nerdy kid with a nice last name..
"Don't say that., I think you should give it a shot...
" I don't know mom., I think it's better I just like her alone, you know so I won't get hurt when she rejects me.. I mean highschool is almost over anyway.. He looks himself in the mirror.. He was kinda good looking..
" that's the point honey., highschool is almost over, and soon you'll be proud to say you passed through highschool, but the question is did highschool pass through you.. Did you really experience what being in highschool was.. And are you sure you won't regret it if you don't tell her how you feel.. People go different directions after highschool honey.. There's a high probability that you won't get to see her again.. So why not give it a shot.. It's worth a try...
"Think about it honey.. Now I'll leave you alone to ponder on what I just told you, while I go out on a date with my husband..
" I knew it.. I knew you had a reason for trying to chase me out of the house.. You two old people are going out leaving your young little son at home.. I should really call the child care service on the both of you..
" well do what you will, I'm going on a date with my husband.. Get yourself a girl, so you too can go on dates.. We might even go on a double date.. She winked at the boy
" Ewww., double date, that's disgusting.. That will never happen..
"okay I'll be going now. I don't want to be late for my date.. So think of what I told you and I'll see you later bye-bye., momma loves you.. She said bolting out of his room.. She didn't get to see her husband every single day, so going on a date was something very exciting..
"Greet the old man for me., and tell him you're not the only one in his life, he has a son named Damon too and I barely see him these days... He yelled after her..
He laid on his bed, and like his mother had said he pondered on what she had said..
" Did highschool pass through me?? He found himself asking this question over and over and over again, and didn't find an answer to it until he ended up drifting to sleep..
