Her father snatched her hand and hissed.
"My, my. That's a gem you don't wish to relinquish! You'd have amassed a pretty tough time compensating what that monster cost."
She chuckled with relaxation. "It's not a monster, dad. It's an emblem of passion. Huge love."
She rested her head on his shoulder.
Mac plop an arm around her and bussed her temple.
"Okay. I surmise my little girl is glad, and I'll simply have to be glad for her."
She hurled her arms around his inlet. "Thanks, Dad. That's all I wish. I learn it's soon… but it's right."
Now if I can simply apologize to Charlie for freaking out, I wish he'll infer and pardon me. He has some explaining to do, nonetheless.
Why the heck did he hide this from me for so long? And what specifically is it? There's so much to converse about. "I've got to head home, Dad. I've finished the dishes. Will you drive me?"
His eyebrows rose. "Isn't your vehicle outside in the driveway?"
