Chapter 3 - ISLE OF REXES

It's been three months since I came to this world. This world feels different and familiar at the same time.I grew up as an orphan on earth and had little to no friends during my childhood there.I had joined the army relatively at a very young age, I had some friends in the army but I wasn't close to anyone particular, maybe that's why I don't miss anyone that much from earth. The violent waves in the ocean brought me back from my thoughts. I am travelling to some secret island of the Empire for the initiation of rites of the Royal family, the Prince had left the empire almost a year ago to this island, even with this world's technology it is hard to navigate this ocean due to its unpredictability, the menacing storms and bloodthirsty monsters and it is impossible to travel to the island by air.The Prince had some very loyal servants ,even they don't doubt me as a fake, from them I got the information that with this rite I would be able to become a powerful warrior.I also found that the island's location is a top secret and only a handful of loyal servants of the throne are allowed to know its location and very few people on this ship knows its location. We have been travelling through dense fogs for days I dont know how the captain is navigating the routes and even the ship's AI seems confused about the location.Even the number of monsters began to thin out.It took us weeks to get out of the dense fog. After some time the instances of entering and leaving similar thick fogs became a routine, this process continued for another month and finally when we reached the Isle I was astonished because it was a small atoll with nothing but trees.Only some people including me were allowed to enter the island ,not even my closest aide were allowed to set foot in this island and the ship left the island without turning back. I was

Confused as the ship didn't give us any rations and only four people deboarded the ship. I thought I was screwed and I might only be alive by eating some fish or some wild fruits. I concentrated hardly on the memories of the Prince to check again whether it was really the rites of passage of the royals or whether he was excommunicated or expelled from his empire
