Author's Note: We will be starting with Kyra's point of view first, even though many of you might not like her.

That was way too close.
I can't believe I almost messed up when I was around him. I know he was wearing a towel but, that was still way too close for comfort. I almost lost control right in front of him! If he saw my face then, it would have been all over.
I mean, can you think of a young girl like me who, upon seeing a naked person of the opposite gender, starts salivating!?! It is going to be very bad for my family if he actually saw me as that is something I don't suppose is normal for a human child.
Though, I think he didn't see me as he just walked away towards the dining area after I told him where it was and didn't make any weird faces or ask any questions, even when he was definitely looking right at me. I still think he saw me, even though he hasn't said anything. If he ever tells anyone else aside from mother and father then, it will be the end of us.
I need to stay away from him for now as it is going to be too dangerous. I also can't forget to avoid the guards as well for some time as it looks like they are close with Mister Alexander. I just wish that mother will be better soon. She will definitely know how to get out of this problem.
"Miss Kyra, your father wishes to see you now."
"Oh, okay. Tell Daddy that I will be there soon! Bye!"
*Tone And Mood Change*
Hmm, I wonder why Daddy wants to see me? Is it to check if my rings are still fully working or is it because he wants to give me a present?

Oh, it is probably because he will give me my special snack. I really hope Mommy will come back soon and help me out here. I would like to be friends with Alex but, I don't think I can because of what I am. Maybe I should just give up on making any friends this year as well and just keep my distance from him.
Wait, did it happen again? I can't remember what I was just thinking about earlier... Oh no.

(Switches to Alex)
After I asked Kyra for directions, I was able to safely reach the dining area. Turns out, Kyra was correct when she said that I can just ask for clothes and get them after only a small amount of waiting.
When I was all dressed up, I started eating my lunch. It was something I never tasted before. The chef said that this dish was called 'Ronanian Springboar With Corus Herbs On The Side'. The name is not actually what it is called and is instead my own interpretation of it after I asked for the name of the ingredients used in it.
When I finished eating all of my food, (that included dessert, which was something called Nilvala Pudding) I went to find Uncle Ostensio so that he can answer all of my questions. I looked all around the house and asked the guards where his room was until I finally found it. I went to open the door but stopped when I heard voices inside.
"Here, drink some."
"Okay."
...
"Thank you, Daddy."
"You're welcome."
What is happening in there? Uncle Ostensio and Kyra are both inside right now and, judging by what he said, he was telling her to drink something that must have been important. What is even going on anymore?
"Hello, coming in."
"Grr... you again."
I once again felt Kyra brush past me the moment I announced my presence. She really doesn't like me at all, does she?
"Um, sorry again."
"No no, it's fine. I am already used to this."
"That's good. So, you said you had questions, right? I will gladly answer them."
"Thank you."
I walk inside and sit down on the bed right next Uncle. Alright, time for some questions. I'll ask the more important ones first.
"Can we go see the Proving tomorrow?"
"Sure. But, Irene's letter told me that you were blind, correct?"
"Yeah, I am blind. But, I just need someone to describe what is happening at I will be fine."
"Then, you are in luck. The event actually has an announcer who commentates the entire event."
Now that is what I call really convenient.
"Any other questions?"
Let's see. I already asked the most important one already so, maybe I should just ask why Kyra doesn't seem to like me much. I think I know why but, he might know better than me as he is her father.
"You are about to ask me about Ray, aren't you?"
"Is it that obvious?"
"Yes."
I can't hide my intentions that easily. I swore I would learn how to do that better but, I guess I made no progress yet.
"So, how about basic things first. Why do you call her Ray when her name is Kyra and why does she hate me so much?"
"Hmm... I can answer the first question but, I don't think I will be able to give you a full explanation for the second one."
"That's alright with me."
The way to gain good relations with someone is to know what they are going through so that you can help them. That is what I think so, this will important for me as I don't want her to hate me.
"Okay, for the name part. Well, her full name is Kyra Ambrosia Elsher. We named her Kyra because we wanted her to become a nice and bright person, as Kyra is the name of the Sun God. My wife gave her the name Ambrosia because we want her to have a nice and fulfilling life. Oh, and the part for her nickname? Just rearrange some letters and you get Ray, which has pretty much the same meaning and is shorter."
That's some very detailed information for a something as simple as a name. But, do the people of this world name their children after things? He said that the name of the Sun God was Kyra so, that makes sense. However, Ambrosia? Isn't that the name of this mythological liquid that turns someone immortal when they drink it?
Huh.
My aunt sure had weird taste when she picked her name. Though, I guess it is kind of cool. Wait, if we use that logic, what does my name mean? Um, Alexander was the middle name of Luke and Noxien came from Nox, which mean darkness. So, my name roughly translates to 'dark hero'. That sounds... ominous.
How about her?
...
'Undying light'?! Wow, her name sounds much better! Oh wait, get back to the subject.
"What about my aunt? Where is she?"
"Well, she is in a clinic right now."
What!?
"What happened to her?!"
"She was... badly injured and one of my friends brought her to the clinic just earlier today. Don't worry, it's not life-threatening so, we are just waiting for her to get better."
That sounds strangely familiar?...
"That is good then. Now, why does Kyra seem to hate me so much?"
"You finally asked it. You see, I am quite reluctant to tell you this as it is bad but, if it is you then, it should be alright."
"What do you mean?"
"Alright... Kyra was born with a weird... let's say, difference. When me and your aunt thought something was wrong, we brought her to a clinic and they said that she has something called 'Internal Dichotomy'. They said that it is a very rare case and the last time it was recorded to happen was nearly 500 years ago. They said that, in simpler terms, her mind is split into almost 2 different people in one. In addition, there can only be 1 personality at a time and they can switch on cues or on random. This is probably just a theory but, she might not like you as 1 or maybe both of her personalities don't like you."
Wait, Internal Dichotomy?
How is that possible? The mind is a projection of the soul, meaning that, if the mind is split then, does that mean that the soul is split as well? But, I don't think that Death God is careless enough to leave souls broken before they reincarnate.

THE NEXT DAY - THE 15TH DAY OF THE 9TH MONTH -
"And here we are with the ones who will be passing the Proving! They are...-"
Now that was amazing. Was the commentator a trained professional? He was able to describe everything so easily and keep it casual at the same time. I wonder if the events that happened today will also be present when I participate in the Proving.
"And there they all are! So, Champion Luno, are you proud of the youngsters you supervised?"
"Yes. I am very proud of them."
"How about you, Champion Soleil?"
"Um, I agree with Big Sister. I believe that they worked very hard to win. But, they obviously won because of her training...-"
Those are some Champions who visited this Proving. Apparently, there is almost always 1 Champion present when the Proving happens. This year, there were 2 of them, and they are sisters.
The Champion of The Moon, Luno Equix, is the elder one even though she is only 19 years old. The Champion of The Sun, Soleil Equix, is the younger sister and she is only 12 years old. I don't even know how they are both Champions as Soleil is basically a child and Luno is only a teenager.
Right, after seeing this (technically hearing), I will need to start working even harder.
"Wow, I love those 2. They are so amazing, right Alex?!"
What?
"Oh, never mind. I'm not talking to you, okay!"
Did she just call me Alex?
And so, ever since that day, I felt that there was still a chance for me to make up with her.
