"I need to eat this fast or I won't be even able to get into the signing up for the training sessions!"
You might be wondering where I am and what the hell I am doing right now. Allow me to explain. You see, just 4 hours earlier, I was in my room, talking to myself about everything that has happened between my arrival here and the present. I was talking to myself like an idiot, even pretending that I was reporting to someone.
Then, that was when misfortune struck me. I heard a yell from outside of my room say that I literally only have 30 minutes before the training session from the Proving. The training session is something the organizers of the Proving do every year. For children who want to train with others and receive guidance from teachers, they can join this program.
Of course, it isn't compulsory to join the program and just train by yourself but, I thought to myself, 'Shouldn't I join this program? I mean, I will actually be socializing with other people and I can get guidance from instructors. Plus, they say that if you show lots of promise, the Champion that supervises the whole thing might train you themselves'.
I said that but now, I am running out of time to sign up for it. That is why, I am in the dining area and scarfing down my lunch. It is pretty hard as these meals are usually big so that we can enjoy it but, I don't have the time for that. I feel like there is this mysterious force that makes me late for important events.
Like, I was late by a few days for the last Proving and now, I might become late for the training program! Death God, if I am the one who will try to save this world, can't you try to make it just a tiny bit easier for me?
...
I guess not everything goes your way in life. The only thing I can do is try to succeed. After all, you can't just rely on fate when going through life. You need to take control of the life you're given.

(This is now the point of view of some random guy who works there)
"So, is that everyone who will be signing up?"
"Yeah, I think it is. I don't think anyone else is going to join because, well, there are already a lot of kids in there."
"If you say so. Let's go close up-"
"Hey, wait just a second!"
"Huh?"
What is going on now? Wait, what the heck!
"Sorry, no time! Here are the files you needed so, I'm out of here!"
...
What the hell was that?
Was that an out of control horse carriage that barreled through right now!? No, wait, it was a kid. Who... for some reason, was holding a bowl of soup?
"Um, do you know what that was?"
"I was just asking the same question in my head right now."
"Well, he just gave us some files and ran towards where the session is being held so, he should be a kid who just signed up, right?"
"Yeah, I think so too. Let's see who he is."
I grab the files that kid gave to us and read through them. The more I read, the more surprised I became. This can't be!
"Dude, you have to listen to this!"
"What? What's wrong?"
"Just listen! 'Name: Alexander Noxien Zetranos, Age: 8, Notes: He is a very inquisitive child who likes to learn new things. However, I want him to have a nice instructor as he has a handicap in the form of blindness. Parent Or Guardian's Name And Signature: Ostensio Loros Elsher'."
...
This is insane.
"Wait, are you telling me that the kid who just ran through here was actually a descendant of the 1st Hero?! And, he is even under the care of one of the nobles living here right now... How much support does he have!?"
"Well, it's not like we can refuse someone like him so, he is the last one. What number are we on again? There were so many this year that I forgot which number we are on right now."
"Luckily for us, I actually counted. He is the 100th candidate for the 1st place in the Proving."
...
"So, who are you going to root for?"
"I'm putting my money on that kid. He is definitely going to win the whole thing."

(Switches to the point of view of Glaive Kaneduro) (Wow, he is actually back, and he is the new instructor?!)
"Hello, nice to meet all of you. You should probably already know me but, just in case you don't, I will introduce myself. My name is Glaive Kaneduro, and I will be the Champion who will supervise the entire training session today. Now that I have introduced myself, how about you all do the same thing? Make sure to say your name and your designated number!"
So, these kids are going to be the children I will teach for the next 7 months. I will need them to introduce themselves so that I will be able to know who they are and so that I can point out all of their weaknesses. This is also to help them practice speaking in front of a lot of people, as they will need to do that if they become someone exceptional when they grow up.
They are going to be the next generation. I will train all of them well so that the future will be in good hands. Also, if I stay in the business of being a Champion for long enough, one of them might even become a fellow Champion.
This is going to be the first time I will be teaching a batch as big as this though. How many of them are going to be participating in the Proving? At this rate, the test might have to be held for 3 or even 4 days. That is just how many of them there are in this training session. They are all counting on me for good results. If they fail, they'll have a different teacher the next time they try so, I will make as many of them pass, no matter what.
"I am the 99th candidate! My name is Miles."
"Thank you all for introducing yourselves!"
I then turn around, trying to remember all of their names.
"Sorry for being late! Um, I am the 100th candidate and my name is Alex!"
So, his name was Martin, and his name was Lex and...
Huh?
Someone was late? I wasn't able to hear what he said. Oh well, if he was late then, he might not be fit for this training session.
"Now, let the training session BEGIN!"
