I am so tired right now. This was so much harder than I thought it would be. My... everything is literally screaming from the pain. I keep thinking that I am in an adult body. I am not. I really am not. Get this message into your head, me!
Oh well.
I will just find somewhere to sit and then I will go over the map I made.
Ah.
Relief.
This feels so good.
Maybe I should lay down here for a while. I close my eyes.

I hear a voice.
Who is that?
Why are you disturbing my rest period. I just walked on every piece of ground that belongs to this village.
Fine.
I will get up.
I open my eyes.
"Hey, are okay?"
I recognize that voice. It belongs to a certain knight I was trying to find earlier.
"Corvin?"
"Yep. It is me. In the flesh."
"Why are you here?"
I say that but then I immediately guess the answer. Did the guy at the office tell him that I went there to check on him?
"Well, you see, I am fulfilling my promise with you."
"Promise?"
"Yeah. Remember, it's the one where I told you that I will help you when you build your base."
Oh.
That one.
But, I don't think I can move right now.
"But, I can't move. I think it is better if we just do this another day."
"No way. I am a man of my word. I keep my promises."
That is a new phrase. I will use it in the future as it sounds pretty cool. But, I do have one concern.
"I won't be able to help you though."
"I don't need help. Rather, I think you are the one who needs to rest right now. I will do all of the work. You just need to tell me what to do."
Wow.
This guy is really just trying to help me even though I can't help him in return. In order not to be rude, I will accept his proposal.
"Alright. But, you will have to carry me all of the way there. Is that alright?"
"Yeah, sure. That is okay. I am a knight that went through training after all."
Oh yeah.
I forgot the fact that he was already grown up. That is because of the way Corvin talks to me. He doesn't talk to me like I am just a kid. Actually, it is the exact opposite. He talks to me like I am an old friend of his or someone who is the same age as him.
While I was thinking that, Corvin lifted me up onto his back and put me down onto his back. To make sure I don't fall down, I grabbed his shoulders as tightly as I can. Then, he carried me from the place I was lying down at all the way to the gate.
He is walking a bit slower than usual. Probably because I am on his back. While walking through the gate, I spot Max and Jaysen.
"Hey, Corvin! Is that Alex on your back?"
"Yeah."
"Where are you going?"
"I am bringing him to the tree so that we can build his base."
"Oh! I forgot about that! Can we come with you?"
"Sure. You can come if your shifts are already done."
"Nice. We just finished ours. We will come too and help build the base."
Wow.
I made such good friends with the knights here. I am so happy that they were the ones I talked to on that day. So, after that exchange, we all walked towards the forest. We followed the X marks on the trees and eventually reached the giant tree. It is a good thing we put those markers there.
"Alright, shall we start, gentlemen?"
"Yes, Sir!"
Looks like they are having fun with this.
"Hey, Alex. What should we do first?"
"Isn't it obvious? We are supposed to get wood from nearby trees and use them to build a small room."
"Oh. That makes sense. Thanks."
Corvin, I praise you for being able to work that out without me telling you. Wait. Never mind. That was obvious. What else will they use to build it aside from wood when we are literally in a forest.
"Guys, for now, we just need the pieces of wood. We can put them together at another time."
"""Okay!"""
After I said that, the knights started chopping wood and getting big pieces. They then cut those pieces into a rectangular shape. I am guessing that those pieces will be the floor, wall, and ceiling? While I was watching them do their work, I suddenly remember to check my map. When I thought that, I pull it out of my pocket.
Amazing.
I am so proud of my hard work.
I might have sacrificed my physical strength but, at least I got this map done. Not to brag but, this might be able to get into a royal library if they allowed it. Look, I can see my house. With this map, even someone who never heard of Vulcan can navigate it with ease.
Still, it is not like I am just going to sell this. This map is mine and mine alone.
While thinking about weird stuff, the trio have finally finished cutting the pieces.
"Hey, Alex! We finished making the pieces of the base! What do we do now?"
"I think that this is already enough for one day. Leave the pieces here and then when we have time again, we can put them together."
"How?"
Oh.
I didn't think about how we were going to put all of them together.
"Oh. Good question?"
"I can handle that."
Huh.
Corvin said that he can handle it. How?
"How will you do it?"
"Oh. I didn't tell you yet. My ability is that I can create threads from my fingers. I can just tie them together."
Such a convenient ability in a rare situation like this one.
"Okay. When we come back, I will leave the tying to you."
"Alright."
"Let's go back already. I think my parents might be wondering where I am now."
"Yeah, they might be."
Corvin lifted me back up and put me on his back. He then walked with Max and Jaysen towards the gate.
That was a fun trip to the forest. I am getting closer to getting a base to hide all of my information and documents from other people. All because of the help from some of my knight friends.
Hopefully, I can recover so that I will be able to do the sword practice later. After that, maybe in 2 days, I will be able to finish the base. Still, I should find some other maps so that I can copy it and have my own.
Let's go with that.
