Chapter 4: Charles
Susan came over and she looked upset. I got her some wine. Susan told me that she and her roommate Melissa got into a fight. Susan was telling me that she and Sara got along well, but she could not stand Melissa. I do not know why Melissa does not like Susan, but I do not want to get involved in their problems. We made love and we went to sleep. I could not stop thinking about Susan's roommate Sara, but I love Susan. I want Susan to be my wife. I already got the ring.
"Susan, I know we do not know each other that well, but I love you. I hope you will agree to be my wife?" I ask happily. "I love to be your wife," Susan replied happily. We make love again. I was so happy that Susan agreed to be my wife. I could not wait until I told my family. I know my mom would be happy for me. I do not think Henry will be happy for me. I invited Susan to my mom's house. Susan was nervous because she was afraid my family would not like her. I told her they will love her.
The next day Susan and I went to my mom's house. My mom was cooking a big dinner. Lisa was helping. I was surprised to see Henry at mom's house. Dad came over because I told him I have an announcement to make. "Everyone, I would like you to meet Susan," I introduce Susan to my family. I could tell my mom did not like her. "I ask Susan to be my wife and she agrees," I replied. "You what?! You only know this woman for a few days. I think you are rushing things!" Katherine replied angrily.
"Mom, I respect your opinion, but I do not agree with it. I love Susan and I want her to be my wife," I told my mom. "Well, son, I hope you know what you are doing!" Katherine replied angrily. I could tell Susan wanted to leave. I took Susan back to my apartment. "I am sorry for my mom's behavior, but once my mom gets to know you she will like you better," I assure Susan.

Katherine could not believe that her son is marrying a woman he only knew for a few days. George came walking into the kitchen. "George, can you talk to Charles about marrying this woman? I do not care if Charles marries this woman, but I do not want him to rush to get married. He needs to get to know this woman before marrying her," Katherine replied. "I agree, but our son is a grown man and he has a right to make his own decision," George replied. "I am not trying to control our son's life, I am just trying to help him. Please George go talk to Charles!" Katherine pleaded.
Later, George went to see Charles. "Hey son, your mom is worried about you. Your mom is not against you marrying Susan, but she wants you to get to know Susan before marrying her," George explained. "Dad, Susan and I are only engaged. We are not getting married right away so you tell mom to stop worrying," Charles assured his dad.
