When the awaited Saturday arrived, da-hee for the first time in a long time was feeling a bit nervous. Looking at herself in the mirror as she got ready, she realized; due to all the incidents and encounters that she has had since she started going to this new school, that she may be a bit in over her head. Da-hee may be menacing at times, an ass-hole occasionally, with the basic level of pride that comes with confidence, but what she isn't, is stupid, she knows she's a fish out of water and even though she has realized this a bit late; It doesn't stop her from rectifying the situation that she is in now. It's one thing if Hwan's mother doesn't like her, she was expecting it, but it would be a problem if both parents wanted to end her relationship with Hwan. If Hwan were to break up with her it would be impossible to continue to attend that school without his support, and at that moment she would have lost, and "Jang da-hee does not lose", she said to herself. As she was leaving her home and in the car on the way to his home, she thought to herself about what she would say and what she would do when she got to Hwan's house; but nothing could have prepared her for how she would feel when leaving his home.
When she arrived at the front door, the staff of the home greeted her.
"Welcome, Master would like to see you in his office alone."
Hwan and da-hee looked at each other and without saying anything, they knew that he was referring to da-hee. She walked up the stairs and followed the staff as he showed her the way. The house was huge and da-hee couldn't stop herself from looking up and around. The staff knocked on the door.
"Sir, she is here." He looked at da-hee and told her, "You can go in." Then he left.
Da-hee opened the door and to her surprise, she saw a young man, that looked barely in his 40's with silver hair; and he was quite handsome. He looked up at her and with a welcoming smile, he said.
"Ah, you must be da-hee, we finally meet, please sit down."
She sat down on the chair opposite him as he sat behind his desk, he looked like he was working before she arrived and he was wearing a suit, so it was almost as if he was in his office. (He must have a very good or unhealthy work ethic), da-hee thought to herself. Da-hee was distracted, she couldn't stop looking at his silver hair, which was so different from his son's jet-black hair.
"Da-hee, did you hear what I said? I asked if you would like some coffee?"
"Yes, I would like some coffee, thank you very much."
