I ran into the same room where I had seen Yuuki before. I'll just take him away from here and once we are safe, I'll make a plan to gather everyone.
When I arrived in front of the door, I flung it open and went inside. But Yuuki was nowhere to be seen.
I scanned the surroundings with my ability and felt that there was someone on the ceiling to my left.
That must be Yuuki. I mean, he has the ability of invisibility.
I looked up and as soon as I did, Yuuki jumped from the ceiling towards me.
I fought him off by forming a wall, but the dagger he was holding flew around and hit my right arm.
"What the hell are you doing, you idiot? Can not you see it's me?" I said angrily.
"I should be the one saying that. What the hell did you do? I told you to calm down and you just go and kill all the superiors?" Yuuki said while holding his head.
"I left one alive. And what do you think I should do? Just sit there and let them kill me? You are lucky I did not bury the whole place in the ground."
"Eh, forget it. What's in that box behind you?"
"I have miko in it."
"You what?"
"Your sister Miko? Do you remember her?"
"Do not give me that crap. I mean, why do you have her in there?"
"You want me to let her stay here? Otherwise, there's no other way to get her out of here."
"Oh, what the hell, let us just get out of here."
So we walked to the end of the hall where the elevator was. With a little luck, we could get out of here without bloodshed.
We got into the elevator and waited for it to take us to the surface.
"And don't you tell me, how many more hair colours are you going to change? First they were orange, then white, and after an hour they turned black. Are you sure there's nothing wrong with you?"
"Yes, I am fine. Thanks for asking." I said with a slight smile.
After a while, the elevator finally stopped. We got off and found ourselves in the same building where our current adventure had begun, but no one was there.
I am sure I know why, but let us hope that's not what I think it is.
We walked out of the building and when we were almost at the gate, suddenly all the soldiers here surrounded us.
I saw the man who was in the interrogation room before standing in front of me.
"I think I made myself clear when I told you that if you alert anyone, I will bury this whole place," I said.
"And what exactly do I have to fear from a kid like you? Who do you think is going to win? A kid with some powers or a whole army of armed soldiers?"
"We will find out soon enough. But I gave you a chance to save your life. It's not my fault you chose to let it go," I said, smiling.
"Hm. And you, Commander Yuuki, will you also go with this girl and betray us?" The man said, looking at Yuuki.
"You stole my sister's memory and never let me near her for long, you just used her as a tool. I would rather die than return with you."
"As you wish." The man said and started walking away.
"Hey Shin... Eve, are you sure we will make it out of here alive?" Yuuki whispered to me.
"Do not worry about it. I never take risks."
"Kill them." I heard the man shout.
Each soldier pointed their guns towards us and pulled the trigger.
I immediately built a wall around us to deflect the bullets.
"We have to fight back, too. If we just defend ourselves, we will never get out of here." Yuuki said.
"Do not worry, who said we should just defend ourselves?"
I snapped the fingers of my right hand and dozens of swords formed around the wall. They flew through the air and cut through everything in their path. Nothing could stop this material, it seemed.
After the firing finally stopped, after throwing the swords continuously, I dissolved the wall and looked around.
It seems that the bloodshed I wanted to avoid was inevitable.
The place was full of corpses. Some with their heads cut off, others with their stomachs slashed, and still others hit by swords and looking like a human sandwich.
It was a one-sided massacre.
Some of the soldiers who were still alive helped others to get up and move away.
The man who had given the order to open fire looked open-mouthed. He could not believe his eyes.
"All this from a damn little girl? No, I will not accept that." He said, coming toward me.
Suddenly, the pressure became unbearable. At least for Yuuki.
So he was the one who had held me during the interrogation earlier? And I was so stupid to let him live. He was the one who started all this, and I am the one who's going to finish it.
I built a cage like Miko's for Yuuki to withstand the pressure and moved closer to the man.
When we were close enough, he tried to hit me, but I blocked him by making a cube out of that black material. But even though I fought him off, I could feel the ground shaking under my feet. I guess he amplified his blows with gravitational powers.
Thank God I have this new ability, or I would have been dead long ago.
I made a wall and hurled it at the man to put some distance between us.
Then I fashioned a sword and threw it at him.
I expected him to drop dead instantly when the sword hit him, but instead he knocked it out of the way with one of his punches. He barely made it, but still. That was unexpected for me.
I smiled, produced a sword and now tried to attack him head on with the sword in my hand.
It was an extraordinary first fight for me, because he was my equal. Not that I used my powers to the maximum. I only used them to make the sword and in some cases a small shield. If I wanted to, I could kill him whenever I wanted, but that would not be fun.
I needed someone to take my anger out on. And I had found the perfect candidate for that.
We continued to exchange blows, but after a while the man got tired and his blows were not as powerful as they were in the beginning.
I guess it's time for me to end this.
I tore down the cage I had built for Yuuki since the pressure was no longer there.
I made some chains appear from the ground and caught him off guard.
When he could not move anymore, I was ready to give him the final blow, but Yuuki got in my way and stopped me.
"No, Eve, wait, do not kill him."
"And why I shouldn't?"
"Because there will not be anyone to guard all these people here."
"Where are the people? All I see are dead soldiers and this guy here looking a bit depressed," I said, pointing at the man.
"Do you see this tall building in front of you?"
"Yes, I am not blind."
"This building houses many people who have lost their property, their families and their relatives. If you kill him, no one will be able to save them if there is a zombie invasion."
"Okay, okay, I will let him live. But I hope you are right about that," I said, letting go of the man.
"And you, if I see you again, I will make you suffer like you have never suffered before." I said and looked at the man.
I left him standing here and made my way to the gate.
"Come on, Yuuki, hurry up. We do not have all day."
"Actually we do..."
"Shh, do you want me to put you in a cage like Miko?"
"All right, all right, whatever you say, boss."
So we left that base and headed off, not knowing where. I guess somewhere where we could meet other people or gather information about the others.
I know Natsumi is here, but I can not take her with me right now. We have to get organised a little first.
Well then, off into the unknown.
