Carramel's POV
James is staring at his mom with a confused and worried gaze as I set the cups of tea down on the table in front of them. After we had walked in and he saw his mother in the living room, the two of them just stood there and I took it upon myself to offer tea which Luna Grace excepted.
Now we're here in the kitchen, the two family members staring at each other as I slide into my seat at the table as well, hesitantly. As much as I adore Grace and all she did for me when she was here, I don't know how she's going to feel about me being her sons Mate. The idea of her having a similar reaction like her husbands sends my heart into a frenzy, making me wipe my sweaty hands on my lap in nerves.
"Welcome back, Luna Grace." I tell her, breaking the tense silence between the two. I know they're closer than his dad and himself, but James seems to be too nervous to see why she's here to start the conversation.
