Ulun's teeth ground together as yellow veins materialized in his furious eyes. Light pooled in his pupils, spreading out into his sclera and dying the whole entire sphere a single shade of neon yellow. Bie expended a quarter of his Ink as he did not have much control over his Inner World, rapidly materializing the weapons within and throwing them to their respective owners.
Ulun caught his first, shooting towards the seven in a straight line while the participants faded away into nothingness. Noticeably, one of the "presents" was smoking, the top of the box cracked open. The blue haired man slid his pupils over leisurely, his right hand cloaked in dark yellow light as he waved his hand.
Ulun brought the Hooked Caneblades to his chest, crossing each other as he flew through the air with a knee brought forwards. The movement allowed him to dodge the dark yellow bolt aimed directly at his head, aiding his descent as he propelled himself down on his target.
Two sets of hands snapped towards the sky as two runic shields blocked Ulun's path, forcing him to slash his blades down on them. Three muzzles flashed as light beams hurtled towards the man temporarily suspended midair, though the beams were reflected as Domingo wagged his finger.
The figure dropped the spent present and retrieved a talisman in the form of a necklace from the depths of their robe, the shield blazon projecting a similarly shaped ornate shield composed of energy. Scrawls littered the air as they spread from the shield, each line of blurred text stacking and superimposing above one another.
The beams dissolved as they hit the shield, and the three muzzles continuously let out more shots as the three figures holding them skirted around the party-turned arena. Aimee, and Bie darted around the tables in pursuit while Uris took to the air. Their boxes remained unopened, while Domingo focused on redirecting their angled shots towards the figure holding the necklace.
Bie retrieved Ekulech, kicking up a table as it materialized in his hand. It shot into the sky, before Bie jumped up in the sky along with it and struck again with the tip of his foot, aiming it towards where one of the shooting robed figures would arrive.
Crrrr- was the sound emitted from the box in their hands as the top popped open. A dazzling shimmering serpent made out of colliding metals emerged from within, smashing the table apart and then floating around them as their hood fell, revealing a mousy looking man in his 20s.
He grimaced, brows furrowing as his eyes narrowed into thin slits. He aimed his gun exclusively at Bie, before the metal dragon emitted fine particles as it smashed towards him.
The young Guide in turn brandished his hand axe, the bearded blade colliding with the claws of the dragon as he fought it off while falling towards the mousy man. Wind billowed as he fell, streaming past his ears as he lightened his weight in order to slow his dive.
While he was in the air, he emitted suctioning force from the effects of Smile as he disturbed the dragon's pursuit, burying the point of his axe down into its head as small cracks started to form on the dense material.
The figure wielding the talisman arrived before the exposed hooded man, an irritated feminine voice emerging from her own hood as she angrily remarked. "Useless bastard..."
Aimee hurtled ahead as she slammed her fist on the projected shield, red toothy patterns glowing on her alabaster skin. The woman released a grunt as she fought off the strong blows Aimee directed at her, swinging her arm as the necklace fluttered in the air, the chain emitting clinking noises.
Aimee roared, her fists striking out repeatedly as she advanced. Uris, already retrieving her tower shield, blew out five separate streams of smoke that converged into a smoky imprint of an ornate cloud. The two other gun toting figures shot wildly in an attempt to distract Domingo's control, and the two mages that were diverting Ulun suddenly skidded backwards and retracted the spell, their lips parting in order to begin chanting.
Ulun was locked in combat with the blue haired man, the prior pulling the dark yellow light from his mouth and smacking away the battering hooks each and every time. The man was even running backwards, rotating in circles as his feet formed a strange, enthralling dance akin to the rays of dawn. Light began to arise from his feet, coalescing into thick branches as they prepared to shoot towards Ulun.
He brought the handles of his cane-like hooks level to his waist, gliding over the tiles as the light from his eyes began to surround him in a thin, translucent yellow aura. The edges of his hair started to turn white, while he mumbled in a hatred laden voice. He disappeared, reappearing right behind his adversary as he sent two strokes of his hooks at the neck of the blue haired man.
"Go to hell, Evant." While he crouched, his torso angled upwards as he brandished his hooks in an attempt to reap Evant's life, the caned ends surrounding his neck before pulling down. Evant let out a thick peal of laughter as the branches at his feet shot upwards, deflecting Ulun's blades as he turned around and smacked Ulun to the side.
"You haven't said my name in such a long time, Frederick." His wrinkled hand snapped before the branches of dark yellow light smashed towards Ulun, who redirected them with rays of neon yellow light shot from his eyes. Yellow veins spread over his skin as similarly colored light emerged from the cracks, and steam was emitted from his frame as he moved much faster than he ever had before.
Evant could only stand where he was, repeatedly directing his branches to Ulun in order to keep him at bay. It was all he could do, creases forming on his green three-piece suit as his movements blurred into a flurry, dark yellow strands emerging in waves with him at the center.
Two voices blended into one as squares superimposed over each other in the air, giving off fiery orange red brilliance as the snout of a similarly colored whale emerged from the symbol. The two opened their boxes, and magical runes became armor that covered the whale and enlarged its size into fifty meters as it infused with its being.
The whale released a massive shout, and the iron armor it wore bloomed tidal patterns that created a thick miasma in the sky. Before Uris could react, the whale flew in the sky with an outstretched maw as it enveloped and "swallowed" both Bie and the metallic dragon he was fighting.
"NO!" Uris shouted as her slitted pupils constricted, and smoke curled around her horn as she converted the plumes of smoke into three-meter-long shields that battered down onto the whale. Domingo and Aimee were similarly distracted, and the three shooting council members angled their shots in such a way that Uris could not redirect her own runic shield to defend.
Aimee's rhythm was disrupted, and she was sent flying by a bandaged fist that struck her in the chest. Domingo, realizing his mistake, hurriedly resumed wagging his fingers.
But it was too late.
