Felix was in turmoil. "There will soon be nobody to kill. He will torture me to get his hands on whatever information he believes I got..."
"Let's first use all means. Then, maybe the clan will send someone to help."
Felix had thousands of thoughts of possible outcomes, but he felt powerless.
Against the God-King, he had no power to resist at all. He could continue his act of kid in plight and try to gather information.
"Let's revolve Nature Law Rune, together with all energies in the Primordial Star Chart. Then, maybe I will feel some outside energies or even find a way to connect with the outside world." Felix decided.
"What a bad kid, let me educate you in your parent's stead!" The old God-King felt Felix use some mental strength and was dissatisfied.
"An ant should know its place, now kneel!"
Felix had no power over his body, as God-King threw him over like a ragdoll. His knee caps shattered on the cold black crystal ground.
He felt scared for the first time in his life. "Fuck, I'm going to die without even getting to experience this world." Felix was desperate.
"I definitely can't use any talks. Whatever I say will be my death sentence." Felix was sure that if he told false information, the God-King would kill him.
"You little piece of trash! Do you know why I don't even bother to scan your soul??! You magi have so many weird mental energies that would rip all information apart before I could even try to read them! NOW TALK!"
Felix felt unbearable pain as God-King crushed his bones one by one.
Felix coughed like a sick person and turned to look at the evil man.
"What good does talking give! You will still kill me, so why should I say anything?"
"I feel my life force draining. If I don't stop this madness, I will die faster."
Felix was still sure that he should buy time for as long as possible.
"Haha. Little child! I can make a vow to let you go! However, you must talk and not hide even a tiny thing!"
Felix was shocked to hear the evil man's promise. "This place is full of fools. What the hell does his vow reassure?! He will slap me to death after empty words..."
He quickly revolved the last energies in his Primordial Star Chart and felt mild space energy fluctuations nearby.
"This feels like space magic. However, it's hidden so well! If not for my Innate Spell Formation finding a tiny strand of space energy, I would have no idea that there is someone else." Felix heaved a sigh of relief inside his heart.
The old God-King watched how the kid squirmed and sat down as if his existence had nothing to do with him.
"You still dare to behave like this?" The God-King was enraged.
"Well, I will die anyway. At least I will die not as a traitor!" Felix had an imperious righteous aura while saying these words.
"This kid! Fine, I can't tell if he figured out if I'm here or not. His Innate Spell Formation is just too weird!" Professor Mo decided to take Felix away and end this farce.
The old God-King felt space fold around him and trap his body.
"Felix, you have nicely done! But, unfortunately, we needed a lot of time to find you!"
Felix heard the familiar voice of Professor Mo. "So it's him!"
The old God-King had a face full of fear, as space around him compressed his body without any intention of stopping.
Felix soon heard this evil man scream as space crushed his body and soul to a meat pulp.
"Great to see you, Professor Mo!" Felix showed gratified expression and didn't give away his honest thoughts.
"Let's go. The war is near the end so that we can get back to the Ximen Star." Professor Mo smiled and took away Felix.
"What about those few survivors?" Felix showed some doubt as he looked at three still alive prisoners.
"Their curse was already activated! They had the intention of trying to betray the clan, so they are as good as dead!" Professor Mo didn't even look back, as he used his space mastery to travel vast distances and reach General Feng.
"General Feng, I will go back to Empress Xi, take care of this child." Professor Mo passed the protection of Felix to General Feng and left without a word.
Felix still tried to collect himself as his whole body ached.
He looked around the capital, and it was full of destruction. Only a few buildings were still standing.
"Felix, it is good to see you alive! We didn't expect such an ambush, thus leading to your misery." General Feng said.
"It is nice to see you again, General Feng." Felix was too tired even to use any emotion in his voice.
"Rest here. We will soon go back home." General Feng sighed as he looked at the ten-year-old with wounds all over his body.
In the space around Ohomo Star, the screams of experts went silent, and the Third Gatekeeper of the Westgate Clan appeared.
"Sieg, move now! The Main Bloodline has decreed that no more actions will be necessary. Also, I have seen that little boy. You have only a few days until they learn about his gift! Now that your God Realm's branch is safe for quite some time, you should play your cards right!"
The man with a weird tunic and a colossal key left when he finished his statement.
"Sister Xi, we must hurry. The time for our Ximen Domain Formation is ending!"
Sieg shouted and quickly used leftover powers to transport allies to the Ximen Star.
On the other hand, Felix was in a tent with others wounded.
"Mage Felix, we will move the injured to the leading portal we have in Ohomo Star. However, it will take a few weeks of transportation with skyships!"
A fat little nurse with a sweet voice, and a healer uniform, informed Felix.
"Okay, thank you!"
Felix had a sore throat, and he just closed his eyes for some sleep.
Time passed swiftly as the sweet oblivion and security of the dark sleep enveloped Felix's consciousness.
Felix had a comfortable stretch as he opened his eyes. However, the light felt painful for the eyes, so he needed some time to get used to it.
He looked around to see an arc window and ceiling with weird runes that lit up the whole place.
"Am I in some weird hospital ward?" Felix wondered as he looked around to see some free beds and other patients.
Soon, a nurse noticed his movement and quickly rushed to look at his condition.
"Sir Felix! Please don't move too much until Healer Serena confirms your condition."
Felix just listened to this nurse and quietly sat in the bed as his dark thought rang in his mind.
"So even Professor Mo is onto this spying..." Felix had a bitter smile as he recalled this whole experience.
"I see you are finally awake, Mage Felix."
A sweet voice of a woman brought Felix back from his rumination.
Felix saw a cute young girl wearing official healer robes. She had a curvy figure, and the WG symbol's white west made her look even more alluring.
"Where am I?" Felix asked.
"Hoh? You are at the Healing Department! You have been in a coma for seven months. We took care of your healing bones, as even your skull had multiple fractures. Only your Life Law Rune made sure you didn't die."
"Can I go now?" Felix had a deadpan expression, not convinced by the seductive charm.
"Yes, I see no trouble with your body. If you feel sick, just come have a checkup."
"Thank you for your help."
Felix got up slowly and took out a new simple cloak from his space ring.
He didn't even look back as he walked out of the healing ward.
"I see no reason to keep my decorum when they keep their bullshit up." Nevertheless, Felix was disappointed in the clan's actions.
He didn't go to the Palace of Magic and headed straight to the Purple Sand district.
He soon reached the main hall, where he saw a familiar face of his elegant grandmother.
"Hi granny, is grandpa home?" Felix asked while she rushed to hug him.
"Yes, he just returned from the city."
Felix waited until Abbadon showed up, and the trio stood up in awkward silence for quite some time.
"Granpa, did you know that the clan wanted to test my loyalty?"
Felix had a sour voice, as even some tears wanted to rush out from his eyes.
His magic power revolved around natural beauty, intended to see any lies.
"What do you mean, Felix? You have already chosen to enter the clan. Why would they test your loyalties?!" Granny Ofelia was enraged as she looked at Felix and Abbadon.
Felix ignored granny rage and looked at Abbadons eyes, the magic power was spilling outside the district, and even storm clouds appeared over half the capital city.
The time passed slowly, as Felix felt more and more tension, as his Primordial Star Chart locked onto Abbadon.
"Felix... I heard General Feng talking about testing a few promising talents. However, I truly didn't know what, who or how will be tested."
Felix felt the Primordial Star Chart send him trembling rageful disgust.
He instantly knew that Abbadon was lying.
"YOU OLD RETARD!!!" Ofelia's voice blasted the whole main hall in chaos as she attacked Abbadon with a full-out attack.
Felix felt some pain in his heart, but he sighed in regret, and his heart calmed down.
The palpable aura dispersed, and everything returned to normal.
"Granny, there is no need to fight. I will go back to my mansion in the Core Realm."
Felix's voice stopped Ofelia from attacking again, and she sighed in pain and regret.
Felix stepped out of the hall and vanished into the distance.
"Abbadon, why did you do something so stupid?" Ofelia asked with a painful voice and tears in her eyes.
"Why else? I still don't know if this soul is truly my grandson! So what if an artifact showed some weird images! HOW CAN I TRUST HIM WITHOUT ANY PROOF?!"
Abbadon revealed his true face as he shouted in an angry voice.
"You can go and sleep outside. I do not want to see you in my home even for a second..." Ofelia cried as she pointed to the door.
"Fine, I hope you will calm down soon..." Abbadon frowned but still left the Purple Sand district to give some space for Ofelia.
Felix was already in his mansion, and he soon saw a familiar fatty lying around in the sun.
"Hey, Marcus, don't you think your fat will melt in this heat?" Felix smiled as he saw this chubby friend, who looked like a human panda.
"Wh-Who what?! Felix?! How dare you say this young and beautiful lord is fat?!"
Felix laughed at the fatty's overreaction as he struggled to get up.
Marcus calmed down after a while and looked at Felix. He stopped for a time as he looked at his young friend's eyes.
"Felix, who hurt you? You can tell me. I will beat the shit out of them!"
Marcus said with a severe expression as he noticed pain in Felix's eyes.
Felix smiled bitterly as he felt this fatty become a lot more dear to his heart.
"Really now? You will go and beat up Abbadon?" Felix had a weird expression as he said that.
"WHAT? What did that old fart do? I can't beat him up now, but in the future, it's possible."
Felix laughed as he heard his response. He felt a little better after talking with this fat lump.
"It's okay, Marcus. Is Amelia here? We could have dinner together."
"Haha! That witch is not here! She is now a disciple! Just a few days ago, a weird woman came and took her away." Marcus said with an exaggerated voice.
"What, did you hear who took her away?" Felix was worried.
"Yep, that woman said she was from the Main Bloodline and that this small place is not somewhere she could become a true expert."
Felix was perplexed as he listened to fatty. "What is this Main Bloodline?" He thought.
"Nevermind, we can't help her now. Let's go eat something!" Felix smiled after some silence.
Felix and Marcus had a long dinner, and they talked and laughed. Unfortunately, their friendly reuniting ended as Virgo came with a report.
"Young Master Felix, the War Council sent an order for you to come to the War Hall." Virgo had a solemn voice as she passed the letter to Felix.
He quickly skimmed through it, and he looked back at Marcus.
"I got to go now. It seems clan has urgent matters for me to attend to." Felix had a sarcastic laugh as he left the mansion.
He passed a few portals, and he found a few guards he couldn't see through standing in front of an entrance to the War Hall.
Felix just went through the door, not even stopping to greet the guards.
He quickly entered the hall and saw the familiar faces of Sieg, Empress Xi, Professor Mo, Elder Medie'th.
However, he noticed that a man wearing a tunic and a large key on his back was in the leading position of the hall. Everyone had respectful looks towards this man.
"Felix Westgate the Second! I am the Third Gatekeeper of The Westgate Clan!"
The man with the weird tunic and the key on his back said with a sonorous voice.
"Hi, nice to meet you," Felix said in a plain voice.
"Haha! It seems you made the child dissatisfied, Sieg!" The Third Gatekeeper laughed maniacally as he looked at Grand Elder Sieg.
"Felix, it was my order to see you tested. If you want anyone to blame, it should be me." Sieg sighed and looked Felix straight into the eyes.
"Why?" Felix had a peculiar tone as if the whole world fell in the stinging silence.
The Third Gatekeeper raised a brow as he noticed this phenomenon.
"I wanted to see if you genuinely are loyal. It was just my wistful wish, nothing more." Sieg said and sighed.
"Professor Mo? Did you just watch and choose to complete that order?"
The moment Felix's voice fell, the hall entered a frozen state. The tension in the air was unbearable. Many elders frowned in dissatisfaction and fear, as they couldn't comprehend this phenomenon.
They felt that this child had a weird power over them. But how could this be? They were a lot stronger than this kid.
Everyone heard a remorseful sigh, and Zakari Mo looked at Felix.
"Felix, I wanted to stop that mad man, but I also wanted to see what your response will be. I am sorry to have let you suffer." Professor Mo was honest and felt he was a disgrace of an elder, as he couldn't even protect a child.
Felix ignored everyone from then on and looked Third Gatekeeper in the eye.
"Kid! Listen now! This God Realm branch has changed in its ways, as they had begun their Intelligence Tower's business a few hundred thousand years ago! They love spying and knowing everything, so it's a bad habit, I guess!"
Felix listened to the man and tried to make sense of his words.
"God Realms branch?" Felix said with a curious voice.
"Yep! Kid, this place has God-Emperor weaklings as their highest cultivation stage powerhouses! Hahaha! That is laughable! If cultivation were such a short journey, it would make no sense! Now forget about these old fools! You are a reincarnation, and ancestral rules say you can choose your path!" Third Gatekeeper made a pause.
"What does it mean?" Felix frowned.
"Kid, I was there in Ohomo. If you were in danger of death, I would still take you away. Now, you can curse Sieg if you want! Hahaha! I will keep you safe."
Felix felt this man wanted to see chaos everywhere, but he remained silent.
"Fine! So boring! Okay, kid, I have seen your talent, and you have the qualification to choose. Now listen!"
Felix could see the distress in Siegs eyes and elders.
"Felix, the Westgate Clan has a lot of branches and has set foot in many realms, for example, this tiny place called Gods Realm. I am from one of the ruling Bloodline Temples responsible for the surrounding Realms branches! I invite you to train at Bloodline Temple! You will see that cultivation horizons are endless, and there will be only tests of power! As you will learn, we need no test for loyalty, only such run-of-the-mill branches like this one test their members to know who their heart belongs to. Unfortunately, I am not in the mood to give you a history lesson!"
Felix saw how impatient the Third Gatekeeper was as he continued his monologue.
"Felix, I can take you to the Bloodline Temple, or you can choose to remain here and do whatever you want. But, of course, the opportunities here are trash in my eyes, so just pick whatever you want." Third Gatekeeper said and took out some wine to drink.
"I will go with you," Felix said after some thought.
"Good! Nice decisiveness, kiddo! Now let us go from this shithole! Hahaha!" The Third Gatekeeper walked with Felix out of the hall.
Felix saw how the elders in the hall had dissatisfied, sad, and even regretful expressions, but he didn't care about them anymore.
"Can I take my friend with me?" Felix looked at the man and asked.
"Sure, now you won't be bound so easily, and you can pretty much do whatever you want. I will come to take you from your home tomorrow, so get everything ready and no more babbling! Hahaha!"
Felix watched this man become a drunkard as he just gulped wine and walked the alley.
"I should ask Marcus if he wants to come." Felix rushed to his mansion.
Soon, he explained what happened to the fatty and inquired about his decision.
"Of course, I will go! This thing sounds like a great opportunity!" Fatty's face fat jiggled as he said in excitement.
"Good, let's go to the Purple Sand!" Felix led the fatty and rushed to his house.
"Mom, Dad, are you here?" Felix's voice traveled through the district as he used his magical energy to transmit it with the wind.
Soon, granny and his parents met in the dining hall.
"So you will travel outside?" Sitri asked with worry.
"Yep, mom! The Third Gatekeeper said it is much more wonderous outside." Felix said with a smile.
"Kid, I have heard Lyrius talk about reincarnations! He said they have weird rules about them in the clan! So you will be free as long as you stay true to your heart." Silver said in a mysterious voice.
Felix was perplexed to hear such a confusing statement, but he chose not to inquire anymore.
"I wanted to ask if you want to go with me!" Felix looked at his parents and granny.
"Child, we will be a burden to you if we come. The other realms are even more dangerous, so our weak cultivation will be your weakness! I don't want to stay in your protection for the rest of my life, so just go and have fun! We will wait for you here. If you ever want to visit, this will always be your home."
Felix heard his mother's voice as she almost cried while saying this.
He spent the rest of the day in his home, and the following day, with the first sunlight, the Third Gatekeeper came to take him away.
"So this fatty is your friend? Haha! He moves like jelly! Let's go. We have no time to waste!"
Felix exchanged looks with Marcus, and both just followed the Third Gatekeeper.
"Kids, we will go to the Ancient Battlefield. We got a dimensional portal there! Also, if I meet some people and stop to talk, just look down, and stay silent! You can offend people as easily as breathing!"
Felix nodded with understanding, and they quickly flew with a starship towards the Ancient Battlefield adjacent to Ximen Starfield.
"There is so much death aura here! I can also feel this new weird law!" Felix was surprised he couldn't understand some powers yet.
"Felix, this is Ancient Battlefield, and it is filled with storms of death, life, destruction, chaos, and even soul laws! Be careful, and don't absorb any of it! These energies still have lingering intent of their masters and will hurt you!"
Marcus just stayed silent and was fully pale from the fright of these energies.
They hastily passed through storm clouds and saw a small pillar with WG initials.
"This is our clan's ancient totem, so memorize its looks! Then, maybe, you will find it in the future, and it will save your life."
The Third Gatekeeper dropped some blood on this pillar, opening a small space door.
"Let's go inside." The Third Gatekeeper ordered.
Felix saw inside was a spacious room, with a lot of runes, inscriptions, and weird equipment he could not comprehend.
The Third Gatekeeper used his energy to control these artifacts, and Felix observed how lights and weird languages were flowing around the walls.
"I will open a portal into the Ice Pheonix Realm! It is a small frozen realm, where ice beasts rule! Better be humble, and don't make any trouble."
Felix watched the Third Gatekeeper use his giant key to unlock a weird lock in the wall, and a giant portal opened quickly.
They stepped inside, and the new journey began.
