Chapter 26 - Chapter 26: Regular Disciple

The Ice Pheonix Realm was also known as the Realm of Wisdom.

Felix was surprised to see a weird coldness even in the void. Everything had changed when he left the portal.

Ice Law energy dominated over all other elements, and Felix was confident he could feel Yin Law faintly.

"This place is a lot smaller than God's Realm, but the experts are way more powerful! After the Titled Mage breakthrough, you will learn the cultivation stages to avoid wasting your time. Now let's see if we will find some opportunities along the way."

Felix used all this time to meditate, as this constant flying took another week already.

"We are close to the center of this Realm. I have a mission to meet the third Grand Elder of the Ice Pheonix Clan. We will make a stop in the Ice Pheonix Starfield Domain. Do not talk unless spoken to, and don't stare at anyone, pry or even have expressions! The Ice Pheonix beast race is renowned for its incredible wisdom and grace. If you manage to offend them, it will be a huge disadvantage to your future."

The Third Gatekeeper advised the kids, and they soon reached a weird boundary, where Ice Law Energy was getting stronger every second.

"Soon, this place will be inside Ice God Energy and even more potent, so stay close to me if you don't want to die."

Felix and Marcus nodded as they felt the seriousness of this journey.

After a few hours, they saw a vast sapphire-like star surrounded by several silver moons.

It was many times larger than Ximen Star Domain and had more cultivation energy.

"This place feels like an upgraded version of a Star Domain," Felix observed with curiosity.

The Third Gatekeeper led them to descend with the starship on the main planet, and several people quickly welcomed them.

Felix carefully observed the newcomers, as they had weird humanoid forms.

They were almost two meters tall, and all wore white silk clothes with a blue feather pin.

The most striking difference was that their hair was like soft blue feathers and their eyes had that bestial look. Felix saw their eyes were a deep sapphire ocean, almost tangible and profound.

"They look so cool!" Felix was impressed.

"We are here to welcome the Westgate Gatekeeper!" The man in the middle saluted with a smile towards the Third Gatekeeper.

"Yes, I already informed your third Grand Elder of my arrival. Shall we wait, or does he have time to meet me now?" The Third Gatekeeper was quick to the point and wasted no time.

"The Gatekeeper needs not to worry. The Grand Elder will meet you in a few hours. Please follow us to your guest chambers."

Felix and fatty were calmly following and made no sudden moves or sounds.

"I can even feel weird energy surrounding these people." Felix was startled to feel this way.

They passed palaces, towers, walls, and even more weird structures. Also, Felix noticed that there were only very few portals in this incomprehensibly large city.

"We have prepared your accommodations in the Sacred Light Pavillion. I hope your stay will be comfortable."

The group leader explained, and Felix saw a beautiful palace filled with icy trees and maidens who sang in the choir.

"We will manage! Please invite us when the Grand Elder is ready." The Third Gatekeeper entered the pavilion and sat down for meditation.

Felix and Marcus just sat down and waited patiently, without any complaints.

Outside the pavilion, the leader of the greeting group was talking with others.

"Why were you so polite, Senior Bruther Qun?" A girl in the back asked with a confused expression.

"Yeah, Senior Brother Qun, I felt those two kids were pure weaklings, and this Third Gatekeeper was acting very straightforward. Shouldn't they show some respect?" But, instead, a boy was showing his imperiousness.

"Sister Lina, Brother Eri, the Westgate Clan is our ally! So even if they act straightforwardly, we will still show some decorum! Also, the Grand Elder will be meeting them personally, so I didn't want to sour the mood without any reason."

The group discussed the guests and quickly went back to the Grand Elder's place to wait for him.

In the meantime, Felix was meditating calmly, as he felt this place was a sacred cultivation ground for Ice Element!

Time passed, and a few hours later, an incredibly soft voice appeared in the Pavillion.

"I hope Third Gatekeeper didn't wait too long."

Felix watched how a heavenly maiden appeared in the hall. She was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen.

"Of course, I didn't wait for too long! I am here with business from the Temple Abbot."

The Third Gatekeeper passed the sealed letter and waited for the Grand Elder's response.

"Your Westgate Clan is sure the fastest to respond to our call! Very well then, I invite you to meet the current Matriarch."

The Third Gatekeeper used some weird way to make Felix and Marcus stand up, indicating they follow.

The Grand Elder leads them into several passages and reaches the main palace.

Well, it was more like a massive ice mountain, where they carved out an entrance with beautiful patterns.

"This is our Celestial Ice Mountain, inside our Matriarch, Grand Elders and even more important figures spend their time int cultivation."

Fairy Grand Elder explained as she felt curiosity from the two kids.

The Third Gatekeeper just continued the silent treatment and followed the woman.

"I welcome you, Third Gatekeeper. I see you also brought some kids." A plain voice sounded, and Felix quickly saw a simple woman, not old, nor young, sitting on a praying mat.

"Greeting, Matriarch. I believe our Abbot's letter has made an impression?" The Third Gatekeeper was as direct as always.

"Haha! Abbot is, as always, a mysterious individual. So let's drink some Passing Ice Lily tea. It is a tradition to serve our guests, after all."

Felix saw the Third Gatekeeper nod and wait quietly. "It seems a lot of thought goes into making a business deal here."

"Now, your Abbot has mentioned he will personally make a Void Portal connect us with the Beast Realm. Are you sure this is what the Westgate Clan wants?" Matriarch inquired with a deep gaze.

"Matriarch, it is not our Abbot's direct order. However, it is the Main Bloodlines intention." The Third Gatekeeper passed an item to Matriarch.

Felix heard her make a curious gasp, and she handed the item back to the Third Gatekeeper.

"I see. Your clan is making a move, finally. Well then, I hope we will have a nice future business. We accept your suggestion."

Matriarch made a contract with The Third Gatekeeper, and they all smiled. Soon, small talk began, and the maids brought tea.

Felix drank a small sip and felt incredible Ice Law fluctuation inside his Inner World space.

"What's that?!" Felix entered deep meditation as he observed his Ice Law Rune and Yin Law Rune resonate and evolve.

Marcus felt a slight, comfortable, and relaxing chill emanate after drinking this tea, but soon he noticed Felix's weird situation.

Matriarch and The Third Gatekeeper noticed this fluctuation, and Marcus was confident he saw this old man depressingly sigh.

"Third Gatekeeper, you seem to have obtained quite a weird small fellow."

"Matriarch, you must be joking, this kid is just close to God Rune state, so his few runes resonated with the tea herbs."

"Haha! It is fine. I see no problem in helping this kid enhance this small rune stage. Why don't we go to the Ice and Snow Temple? There he might learn more, and the scenery is beautiful to talk about business."

The Third Gatekeeper agreed as he frowned with some worry.

The group quickly reached a pleasant small hill, where snow was setting slowly, and ice was making creaking noises.

Now, even Marcus felt the unique and sacred atmosphere surrounding them, as Felix had a small blue light covering his body.

"Third Gatekeeper, you are lucky to find a child with such comprehension. I hear your Bloodline Temple was declining, but now I'm sure this is just false information." Matriarch smiled as she observed Felix.

"Matriarch, rumors are not far from the truth. The Temple needs talents more than ever, especially after we had some Buddhas die to their devil heart."

Matriarch nodded, as she had heard of the tragic death of the Buddhists inside the Bloodline Temple. She was unsure of the valid reason for the happenings, but such an old clan had many dangers.

"Yes, well, you will recover with such great quality disciples. I also wanted to ask if your Bloodline Temple still had the Comercial Auctions House, as it is the famous trading ground of the Westgate Clan?" Matriarch smiled like a fox.

Marcus saw the Third Gatekeeper uncomfortable as he continued the discussion.

"Yes, every Regional Realmgate Headquarters is connected with the trading center. Did you want to enter it for the upcoming auction?"

"Third Gatekeeper is sure wise! We heard an artifact of the Lady Ice Song will appear, is that correct?" Matriarch smiled.

"Let's not waste time, Matriarch. I believe you heard that my cultivation technique does not allow me to stray from my heart. I have to be straightforward! We will give your clan entree for free, is that enough?"

Matriarch saw the weird resonance in the Third Gatekeepers' eyes as he changed his speaking style.

"Oh? I have heard of the Gatekeeper's weird cultivation methods, but I am only confident that these methods are above our estimation! Yes, we will only need one entree, so we have to thank your clan once again!"

The Third Gatekeeper cackled, and he took out some weird wine gourds. One of them was red, and the other was transparent.

"Matriarch, drink some of this! The tea was delicious. Now I offer you some wine of my own making! This pot is the Red Starlight Brew. It contains the Third Transformation Yang essence and numerous fire herbs. In addition, I infused a Sacred Snowflake Fairies dust in this transparent bottle and Yin Pear of Dalaga!"

The Matriarch was pleasantly surprised with such a great treat, as these wines had some small help in her cultivation.

"Then I won't be polite!" Matriarch poured two cups for herself and the Third Gatekeeper, and they smiled as they drank.

Unfortunately, their joyous moods changed when a small layer of ice made Felix look like an ice sculpture.

"Third Gatekeeper, it seems your little mage has a World Palace Inner World? I have never seen a successful fifth-stage cultivator. This trouble is his opportunity. I hope he survives."

"Hahaha! Yes, I was shocked at first when I heard those God Realms fools report to the Main Bloodline that a World Palace survived the third tribulation! But, now, he needs to comprehend! Also, Matriarch, I hear that your clan's princess has a direct bloodline of the Ice Pheonix, right?"

The Matriarch was startled a little as she was confident no outsiders should know of this news.

"The Westgate Clan sure is imperious! We have sealed this information, but you still managed to obtain it. However, you have been our long-listing allies for so many years. I see no point in hiding it now! Yes, the young princess was born with an Ice Pheonix bloodline and is incredibly talented. This situation is the main reason we need a connection with Beast Realm."

"This is fine, Matriarch. You couldn't know that Lord Tu was traveling past the Ice Pheonix Realm, as this girl was born! I don't think you could hide the phenomenon from someone of his caliber."

Matriarch gasped as she heard the name of Lord Tu.

She heard that the Westgate Clan had a bloodline ranking system. In addition, there were strict etiquette and power requirements for this noble clan.

Even though a lord was the lowest possible rank in the Main Bloodline, it required unimaginable cultivation, power, and merit. Unfortunately, this small Ice Pheonix Realm had no way to oppose ranked bloodline cultivators, as it would be an unimaginable detriment to their future.

"I have heard of your ranks of bloodline! It is our misfortune and fortune that an allied force found out in such away. However, let's not talk about Lord Tu's business. It is beneath our comprehension."

The Matriarch was composed and didn't pry where she shouldn't.

"This behemoth of a Westgate Clan is a dangerous thing to associate. I can't let my tongue slip even if I gained several advantages from this Third Gatekeeper." So Matriarch thought as she continued her sweet talk with the weird man.

On the other hand, Felix was now accepting the blessings of his first God, Rune!

"I didn't think my Ice Law Rune would evolve first! Now I have to memorize to the best of my ability!"

Felix felt unimaginable pain pulse in his head as a terrifying amount of information appeared in his mind.

It took him a few minutes to memorize the comprehensions and find God Rune's construction method.

He felt this method was esoteric, as it required the Godly Ice Energy to acknowledge him as a worthy master.

Just as he condensed his Ice God Rune, his body was frozen and compressed with prejudice of an Ice Law.

"This is painful, but I feel some weird formation of ice energies in this compression."

Felix noticed that the ice encasing his body had a weird capitalization inside, and its power came from a mild form of small God Law strings.

"So this pattern lets ice invade a foreign body! I should just let it inside and infuse this energy in my God Rune." Felix was happy to be able to understand such a weird mechanism.

The Third Gatekeeper smiled as he saw the ice on Felix's body be absorbed fully, and his energy reached harmony with the Ice and Snow Temple.

"Congratulations, child! You made your first step towards the Titled Mage stage. I hope that the sacred Ice will always protect your path."

Matriarch smiled and blessed Felix with some encouraging words.

"We should go now, Matriarch! I still have to report back to Abbot! I thank this kid's behalf for your grace. Let our business reach a new grandeur!"

The Matriarch was as graceful as ever and led them towards the teleportation formation, where they left the Ice Pheonix Realm with kind intentions.

As soon as their figures vanished in space, the Matriarch teleported to meet Grand Elder and the people who greeted the Third Gatekeeper.

"Lady Syrga, I believe your disciples were as useless as frogs in the well! They called World Palace fifth stage mage an untalented kid!"

The Matriarch showed her dissatisfaction with their reports that the kids were not extraordinary.

"What?! How can this be? They had no powerful cultivation resonance!"

The girl who talked badly about the Third Gatekeepers group shouted in disbelief.

"Tsk! Little Min'ja, you will reflect for five years in the desolation tower! I do not wish to see arrogance when dealing with people of such terrifying clans! Do you understand?!" Matriarch was astonished to see the child still behave like this, even after her words.

"Grand Elder, set the sect leaders meeting in one month. The secret is no longer secure. I have to report it! We will not let the princess travel to the beast realm at the first chance!"

The Ice Pheonix Sect was in a lot of turmoil after Felix and the others left the Ice Pheonix Realm.

"Kid, your performance was satisfying! That old crone was envious beyond belief! Hahaha! She thought her Ice Pheonix Bloodline was something special, but you just made her eat her words! Hahaha!"

The Third Gatekeeper used his spaceship to travel to their next destination.

"I didn't expect my little talent brought something good!" Felix smiled humbly.

"Kid, you don't understand a World Palace fifth stage experts can be counted on two hands! First, you will read more about the rarest talents in the world and their best-recorded achievements! Now we should hurry to Bloodline Temple. We only need to pass a few more Realms!"

The long journey began, and they traveled for several months. Felix even had his eleventh birthday on this spaceship.

Time passed quickly, and their journey came to an end.

Felix was observing the new Realm. "This place has even more concentrated energies than Ice Pheonix Sect!"

Felix was shocked by this amount of cultivation energies, as it was just a shared space in this new Realm.

"Kids! This Realm is called Sacred Light Realm! Our Bloodline Temple acts here as the Regional Realmgate Headquarters for many realms in the surroundings! The Gods Realm is just one of the faraway realms in our territory. We will reach the Temple tomorrow, and Felix, you will become a disciple, but this fatty will not have such a chance, as his talent is terrible! Now go dress in your official robes!"

Felix nodded, and the following day came quickly.

He saw a massive tree from afar. " Is this the legendary Bodhi Tree?"

"Hahaha! Our Bloodline Temple has this Bodhi Tree, as our Buddhist School is the strongest! You will learn what this means in some time! Now go and greet your senior apprentice brothers, monks, and elders!"

The Third Gatekeeper smiled, and his ship descended near a small square, where some people were already waiting.

"We greet The Third Gatekeeper!" The welcoming party bowed and saluted.

"Haha! It's good to come home! Now I have some business with Abbot. Please take care of these kids! They will enter the Bloodline Temple."

The Third Gatekeeper left Felix and Marcus with these strangers and quickly disappeared.

"Welcome to the Westgate Regional Bloodline Temple! I am monk Riago, leading you to your temporary apartments. Are you both going to become the disciples?"

Felix heard a chubby bald man begin talking with them as he tried to diffuse the awkward situation of meeting strangers.

"Hello, monk Riago, I am Felix Westgate the Second, and this is Marcus. I am entering as a disciple, and he is my friend, who I chose to take with me." Felix smiled amiably.

"Okay, follow me! Your discipleship begins tomorrow, and you will receive all information from the Outter Disciple Court."

Felix followed baldy and quickly saw tiny houses on the mountainside.

"Stay in the number eleven, for now. I will send someone to inform you of your duties and other relevant information! I hope you will have a great cultivation journey!"

Felix exchanged pleasant goodbyes with the monk and entered his house to wait for tomorrow.

"Fatty, I will inform you of your possibilities as quickly as possible, but still try to find opportunities by yourself! I will back you up if things go south!" Felix smiled and then cultivated as the environment inside this tiny home was exceptional.

The following day a girl disciple arrived to invite Felix to register.

"Hello, Felix, I received monk Riago's order to help you with integration! Let's go to the Outer Court for registration! Mister Marcus can stay here, as he will be invited by personnel when your courtyard is appointed."

Felix just followed the girl, and soon he entered a spacious palace complex, where many doors and corridors made his head dizzy.

"Hello, Elder Gred! I came to register a new disciple!" Felix heard the girl call and enter the new hall.

"Oh? Didn't the disciple's acceptance end two years ago?" A warm voice sounded.

Felix saw a short man with a fabulous hairstyle and fashionable clothes sit behind a desk. He also had small WG initials on his badge and calmly greeted the kids.

"Third Gatekeeper brought him from the other realm!" The girl said with an excited voice.

"Oh? A gatekeeper, you say? Okay, let's register him first, then we will test his cultivation to see what we can teach him!"

Felix quickly reported his name passed on his bloodline vow and other official stuff.

"You will have your cultivation tested tomorrow, in the Examination Hall! Do not be late. You will see your information in the token. Bye!"

Felix felt his body forcefully teleported, and he appeared outside the Outter Court Palace.

"Felix, I hope you will have good results!" The girl smiled.

"Could you tell me if my results will affect my future?" Felix smiled back and inquired about some information.

"Only a little! You might get taken in as a personal disciple if you had unbelievable talent, but everyone usually gets their status checked at the ten-year competition! It is still eight years till the next contest, but you will have a disadvantage of two years, so train hard!"

Felix talked with the girl for a while and asked where is his new house, so the girl guided him around, as she had free time.

"I must relax now! I have no idea how long other runes will take to evolve!"

Felix planned his future as he sat in his small house.

First, his new status as a simple regular disciple, as only through getting stronger could you advance in here.

Also, his talent was weird, so he should probably not expect anything fancy here.

"So I can now have some cultivation time for myself!" Felix smiled as he was looking forward to his time here.
