"I need to vent all this frustration." Felix was ready to punch something, as he still recalled his failed breakthrough.
Space jumped into the forest and used small magic to cover himself in shadows.
"Ah, space jumping is so convienient!" Felix smiled in satisfaction.
He recently learned to do it without separating his body parts in the space tunnel. Instead, he only needed to train space energy control until it was ingrained into his memory.
"Hmm, I should probably cover my aura." Felix thought as he recalled a very convenient spell.
"Three stars spell - Worldly Cover. Use your comprehensions to copy the energies in the surroundings."
That sounded simple, but Felix still was shocked to see the comment that this spell had no improvement limitations! As long as you have runes, you can achieve the best possible cover-up and even hide in plain sight if you are daring.
"Well, they might not see, smell, or hear. However, beast instincts are scary." Felix tried not to neglect anything.
He used almost an hour to reach fourth-stage beasts.
"So cramped here! How are they not rushing out already?!" Felix was amazed by these beasts' patience.
"I read that monster beasts gain intelligence with their cultivation. However, this seems above that." Felix frowned as all this looked like someone was controlling this horde.
Felix now walked. He was going through the gaps as a bit of a rat. And considering the beasts of the fifth stage already reached twenty or even fifty meters in size, he was doing a great job.
"Wow, I need to upgrade my chaos rune! Now I only used fundamental energies and some darkness to evade their notice completely, as chaos law controlled the surroundings." Felix was amazed how the beasts didn't even look at his side.
"Hmm, I should somehow hide my killing intent, or I will blow my cover-up." Felix already saw some Titled God beasts.
He watched with some cautiousness, as they had a lot of power. "I must be ready if some of them make sudden moves! I don't want to die as a meat patty."
He saw a massive claw on the higher mountain peak and a feathery face with a sharp golden beak.
This beast was a giant bird over twenty meters in size. It had golden feathers and beautiful green eyes.
"I don't even want to hurt such a majestic creature..." Felix felt some guilt.
"Well, I will try to make it quick then!"
He took a deep breath and revolved his Primordial Star Chart. Then, inside the Innate Spell Formation, he formed the copy of his concealment spell and began constructing a new attack.
"I will use simple Death Energy Bullets. Aim for the head and heart, and this beauty will fall into oblivion, without any pain." Felix planned with care.
His Death God Rune was his most profound rune, as it carried the death energy of his past reincarnations. But unfortunately, he didn't comprehend how to exploit this boon fully.
"Five stars spell - Death Energy Bullet. Compress death energy into a bullet and will it to gently fly towards the opponent." Felix recalled this spell.
"I will use my Space God Rune to construct a space corridor and just bring the bullets into the face and heart regions."
Felix used over five minutes to collect enough death power, and he looked at this giant bird of prey.
"I hope you will have a good next life, little birdy!" Felix sighed and released the spell.
The Titled God beasts all roiled in anger as they felt fluctuations. However, it was already too late.
The Death Bullets with space corridors helped reach the bird instantly and extinguish its life force. The giant monster died with its eyes open.
Felix didn't waste time and conjured a metal blade. "Let's cover it in space distortion and get the Wind Attribute Core."
Felix cut the place of the bird's forehead and soon saw a brilliant transparent ball of energy.
He took it in his spatial ring and used space jump to disappear without a trace.
The Titled God Beasts charged the moment of fluctuation, but Felix was already gone after a successful assassination.
He used the already completed concealment spell in his Primordial Star Chart and quickly passed back to the city through the horde.
The Formation Masters were halfway done when Felix saw Jir at the central square, fixing up a huge metallic chamber.
"Hey, Master Jir! I got you a Titled Beasts Wind Core!" Felix said with a smile as the man turned around with surprise.
"You made it?! So quick! Pass it to me. We will finish the formation in about two hours. Later get used to controlling it, and it should be helpful in the attack."
Felix just nodded and rushed to talk with fatty.
"Marcus! I got some news." Felix found the group in the inn and retold all the information he had gathered.
The merchants were frightened, and fatty thought this luck couldn't worsen.
"We will stay here until defense arrives and then see what the best course of action is. So, Marcus, come with me for a bit."
Felix led fatty away from the group to talk in private.
"Marcus, I am sure there are Principle God Beasts in the very back, as they are running away from that creepy God-King killing intent."
Felix began to plan with fatty how to survive. After all, they couldn't outrun a God-King even if they started now.
"Felix, don't you feel this mountain range strange? I can feel like a huge beast is lurking beneath it." Fatty had a strange expression.
"Hmm?" Felix frowned and looked fatty in the eyes. "What do you mean?"
"Well, I think my Innate Titan's Physique is responding to something underneath these mountains. At first, I didn't feel anything, but now it is getting stronger every second." Fatty explained.
"So that's how it is. Do you have any ideas?" Felix asked as he began to think about this seriously.
"No! I think something resonates with my physique. I don't know if it is a good thing or a calamity." Fatty showed some severe expression.
"This is a weird coincidence, to say the very least! I will send a message to Liron. Maybe he has some ideas?" Felix said and took out his Token to communicate with Liron.
He quickly reported the happenings, and Liron responded after fifteen minutes.
"Felix, concentrate on the Token, and visualize! You can send me an image of that black pit. Also, the Innate Titan's Physique is a bloodline. If Marcus feels resonance, there is probably some bloodline of higher quality underneath, so be careful. Titan is a vicious creature, and its intelligence and body are above what you can understand. I will send you more information soon."
Felix was glad that Marquess responded so quickly and discussed with fatty.
"There is probably a bloodline of higher quality underneath these mountains." Felix saw how fatty was shocked and left him to contemplate.
"Now, I better go meditate to get into a peak state." So Felix decided and entered a cultivation state.
The hours passed swiftly, and the roars of beasts were nearing the city.
Earth shook as underground monsters burrowed with sinister intentions.
Flying beasts cast a shadow over the city in search of prey.
The guards on the city walls were trembling in fear as they watched towering Titled God Beasts in the rear of the horde.
These creatures seemed like beasts from some ancient stories and fiction.
"Prepare for the first wave!" City Lord was on the walls together with all experts.
"Sir Felix, did you learn to use the formation?" City Lord asked while looking at the teen.
"You don't need to worry, Sir Boro. I am already confident in wielding its full power." Felix smiled with reassurance.
"Very good! Now, is the Alchemists ready to distribute needed pills and explosives?" Boro continued his assessment.
"Yes, City Lord!" An aged woman with white clothes and a golden badge responded.
"Beast Master Flora, is there any chance to tame some of the beasts to offset this crisis?"
"City Lord, there seems to be something controlling the beasts! Fortunately, my grandfather responded and is on the way from the Heavenly Lore City! He is a Principle God Beast Master. We will learn something from his expertise!" A young woman in her thirties said with enthusiasm.
"Oh? Heavenly Lore City will get involved as well?" Boro showed curiosity.
"Sir Boro. The Mercenary Guilds Headquarters arranged several strong powers to send early help."
Mercenary Guild leader began explaining the new intel.
They will start arriving in a few hours. These powers include Heavenly Lore City, Gan Clan, Water Sect, Fountain Lords Mansion, and many more. They are the closest and most capable experts." Guildmaster reported.
"What about the main group of reinforcements?" Boro inquired.
"The Mercenary Guild, Central Continents Hall of Gods, and few other powers responded. They send several God-Kings, and they will arrive in three days. We will gain more intel in a few hours, as Seer Altar will open to check the true happening in this event."
"So this is an event of higher proportions than expected. Tell me how the evacuation of people is going..."
Felix didn't bother to listen to all of this useless information, and Space jumped to the center of the city, where he lit up the control room of formation and entered to get a better feel.
"My Chaos Law Rune and fundamental energy runes are resonating every time I begin exerting my power to this formation."
Felix felt like he could feel everything inside the territory of this formation.
It felt like the four elements were his eyes, hands, and power.
If he willed the elements to pick something up, they would do so at a moment's notice.
The experts on the city walls saw a strange phenomenon as the wind started roiling around the city territory with menacing power.
The wind qi blades appeared like a barrier with light white and blue glints.
The ground tremored, and everyone heard painful grunts of the borrowed beasts.
The brownish qi behind the wind qi barrier flowed like a living creature, ready to pounce with eternal weight.
Even some rain converged from nowhere. The water droplets hovered in the air, and the flying beasts felt danger as their instinct drove them to hide from this magical rain.
The most amazing part was that the fire element converged all over the city and lit up all the streets and squares. The darkness was no more in this scary situation.
All residents felt this sacred fire shine with dangerous glint and the beasts retreated in fear.
"Hahaha! I told you, Boro, this kid has goldy control over the fundamental elements. No fifth-ranked beast will pass through this formation as long as he can keep up his mental power." Jir laughed in glee.
"Hahaha! Old friend, you never disappoint me. This formation will buy us a lot of time. Alchemist Roze, didn't you have some mental energy restoration pills?"
The gears of war went full speed, and people were rushing everywhere with tasks and orders.
"I will cultivate my fundamental elements and chaos rune while I control the formation." Felix decided with a smile as this opportunity hit him.
Time passed, and the evening sun made the sky scarlet color, with suspicion of blood.
"BOOOM! ROAR! RUMBLE!"
The first beast wave of millions of beasts up to the third stage rushed out from the mountains.
Roars made the air tremble, and the ground rumbled as if an end of the world was coming.
Bestial aura covered the skies, and crushing killing intent descended and made all experts in the city pale from fright.
"Oh damn!" Felix frowned as he saw this unstoppable momentum.
The beasts surrounded the vast city walls in a few minutes, and only a small line of a few hundred thousand soldiers was waiting outside to meet this calamity.
These soldiers saw blood daily, but their expressions showed that they understood their position as cannon fodder.
Fortunately for the city inhabitants, the formations around the city, traps, and magical protections stopped the wave, and full-on extermination of these weak beasts commenced.
"This is a pure massacre!" Felix observed the beasts crush into pits and traps as formations killed them with unimaginable speed.
"I don't even need to use this Four Elements formation. This war is a true difference in cultivation stage."
Felix now understood why numbers couldn't overcome the cultivation stage.
The city's fifth and sixth stage formations slaughtered the weak beasts like cleaning dust.
The small army outside the city walls used ranged attacks to kill some beasts who slipped past the initial defense.
This massacre was endless.
The night passed, and the beast corpses covered the city in piles of mountains.
Eery screams washed through the mountains, and Felix felt how that demonic killing intent spread towards the city with his Mind Rune.
"Now that's not good." Felix frowned as he felt the killing intent manifest into weird runes, rules, or Dao, which he couldn't comprehend.
He knew that this was beyond his understanding, and nothing in this city could stop this phenomenon.
"Hopefully, this creepy intent will not murder us until the support arrives." Felix sighed and posted these images to Marquess Liron.
The wave was still showing no retreat, as the number of beasts was just too large.
The city looked like a small island in a massive storm.
Felix still did not need to use his formation to help in defense, and only after a few hours did he get a response from Liron.
"Felix, be careful. If you see that spell near completion, just run away with that fatty. This demonic spell is Dao of Death necromancy."
Felix read Liron's message with a curiosity of a cat.
"This evil intent, I believe, is something from the ancient battlefield. Soon, some of our historians will find the true origins. Felix will result in the resurrection of all dead beasts to initiate death army creation. I am pretty sure that this Star is doomed, so good luck!"
"What the fuck?!" Felix was flabbergasted.
"Is this old goat of a marquess pranking me?" Felix took a deep breath of air as he thought of this situation.
"I didn't even live on this planet for long, and it is already in for a catastrophe."
Felix felt weird, as he felt these events absurd.
The beast wave continued without end.
Felix felt the dangerous killing intent increase as some fourth and fifth-stage beasts roared with impatience.
"I still don't know much about necromancy. I should wait for Liron's update." Felix Decided and continued spying on the situation outside the city walls.
In the meantime, somewhere far, far away in the western Void of the cultivation dimension.
The Westgate Realm was the only supreme realm in the western Void, and it housed the most potent power of twist offer mega verse – the Westgate Clan.
In a vast starry planet's domain, where thousands of cultivation stars were entirely inhabited and housed uncountable people, stood the Ancestral Home of the Westgate Clan.
Only the nobility of the clan lived in this endless starry sky.
Marquez's Liron was sitting in a hall, where the sky was the ceiling, and the ground had no depth.
There was seemingly endless Space inside and only one throne.
A simple white robbed youthful man sat on this golden throne.
Several rows of men and women, beasts and spirits, waited for this man to command them.
"Everyone, Marquess Liron has an important report, so listen and come up with suggestions!"
The simple man on the throne coughed and said in a sonorous voice.
"Your Majesty!" Liron bowed with respect and began his report.
"The Sages have confirmed the reincarnation! Inside the Gods Realm Ximen Star Domain, Purple Sand branch. His name is Felix the second, and currently, I confirmed his talent!"
The hall instantly went silent with hushed whispers, gasps, and noise.
"Silence!" Bloodline Emperor frowned as he saw such misconduct.
"This child Felix has completed World Palace tribulations. He also has Mind Rune, Chaos Rune, and Nature Rune."
The people showed interest but dared not to make ruckus after the last warning from the emperor.
"Now Felix already has freely chosen to follow bloodlines instructions and has been sent to Central Void. However, his mission seems to have encountered anomaly!"
Emperor raised a brow.
The Westgate Clan was the best in intel gathering, so for them to find an anomaly in a factual matter was extraordinary.
"The investigation suggests an Ancient Giant Devil Spirit is awakening in the Star we sent this child! Now, he will either die against an army of the dead or worse. Your Majesty, please instruct this subject!"
Liron bowed his head, and now everyone in the hall wore severe expressions.
This event was not a coincidence. Nobles knew someone was targeting the child.
"The Westgate Clan will not abandon this child! Not considering the ancestral rules for reincarnations, even his talent is worth nurturing! Seer Anga, check the child's situation and report as soon as possible!"
Bloodline Emperor issued orders with a determined expression.
"Queen Raiga, send an order to Space Temple. I want the Fourth transformation experts to ensure Felix lives. If it is not enough, report back to me!"
Everyone was shocked by such treatment. However, nobles saw the emperor raise his hand to show the meeting was not over.
"Nobles! This endless pestering is the last straw for our clan! We have been low profile for thousands of years, and it seems the other new powers take us as an old declining power, which they can consume as they wish!"
Everyone in the hall felt the atmosphere filled with tension.
"The Ancestral Hall has spoken!" Emperor stood up and looked at the subjects.
"The Westgate Clan is to defeat all opposing forces and establish its great name once again since the Doomsday War! The nobility will serve as foot soldiers and make all decisions in the outside world!"
Everyone showed severe seriousness. Nobles already knew that changes were happening in the cultivation world, and the clan was silent for too long.
"No disciple is to die unavenged!"
"No business is to be abandoned!"
"No low-profile needs to be maintained in Central Region! Begin preparing for Void War!"
This time all the nobility knelt and rushed out from the hall.
Felix, of course, had no idea that his seemingly unlucky time on a mission was the last straw for this gargantuan clan.
Millions of years ago, the Westgate Clan maintained a low profile since the Doomsday War.
Several new powers emerged and achieved top positions in the cultivation dimension.
However, this mysterious Westgate Clan maintained a quiet position, with no new experts for so long.
Low-profile was impressive at first, but now, all greedy cultivation powers saw this clan as a colossal meat pie to devour.
The whole western Void was a territory of the Westgate Clan.
After all, this ancient clan had a massive war in the Doomsday War and defeated their opponents, leaving only a vast starry battlefield in their Super Realms.
What was worse for these new powers, they could not be more envious of the Westgate Clans' natural position.
An immeasurable void storm separated them from south to central Void.
A legendary Baggy Sorm squished all opposition from north to center.
The endless Void surrounded western Void, with creepy dangers of storms and Void Fiends, from all other sides.
The only gap to reach Westgate Realm is protected by Space Temples, which this clan erected to separate the Void and make it unpassable for others.
The Westgate Clan had no weakness for their defense, and that's the only reason they weren't targeted for so long.
Unfortunately, their old name of the best Space Mastery clan was not enough to maintain their position.
The western Void had a lot of resources all powers were envious of, as they now expanded their territories to the max.
Various vital realms, sects, and demonic cults packed the eastern Void.
Central Void had the most recourses, and the powerful already occupied everything.
North was full of Yin energy and was inhabitable only by extraordinary cultivators and life forms.
South mainly was wrecked by the same void fissure storm, which was a natural barrier for the western Void.
Also, the southeast was packed with Yang energy and had a similar situation to the north.
As this void dimension was still growing, all the powers needed more resources. Thus, only the west was a possible place to invade, as this Westgate Clan singlehandedly governed it.
"Notification!: New mission!" Felix felt his Token transmit new information.
"Mission: Enter the depths of the mountains and comprehend the evil intent! (Optional). Reward: Compatible Treasure.
Mission: Find Ancient Devil Giant's Bloodline and let Marcus Westgate upgrade his low-grade bloodline (Optional). Reward: Marcus Westgate status update.
Mission: Find a Titled God named Faraway Dorok, and capture him alive (Mandatory). Reward: Request the Clan anything with equivalent worth."
Felix had no idea that the Westgate Clan entered a new working policy and only read the missions as he used the Four Elements formation to kill fifth-stage beasts.
"Now, this is interesting. I should take away Marcus and begin these missions." Felix smiled as he skimmed through bonus information in his token.
