Felix used his inner disciple token to find information about the Mage Department.
It showed that he had to go to the Palace of Magic for evaluation and testing before joining.
Felix slept for the night first and went to the Palace of Magic early in the morning.
"Welcome to the Magic of Palace!" Felix heard a cheerful voice when he stepped through the portal leading to Mage Department.
A young girl with fabulous clothes and hairstyle was smiling at Felix.
She looked around fifteen, so she was a lot taller than a six-year-old Felix.
"Those are some real guns!" Felix almost blushed as he saw the rabbits bouncing around with no shame.
He was glad for his crazy calmness and finally introduced himself.
"Hello, senior sister! I am Felix, and I came here to join Mage Department." Felix calmed his dirty mind and focused on essential things.
"Well, nice to meet you, Felix! My name is Anabelle! Let's go to the testing hall to see what you are capable of!" The girl said and led the way through this labyrinth-like corridor system.
"I would get lost in no time here!" Felix couldn't keep up with all the twists, turns, and stairs up and down.
"Uncle Paul, I bring new blood!" Anabelle chirped.
"Heh, so we finally get the first child trying to enter this year!" A soft voice sounded from behind the bookcase.
A tall man with a grey tunic and a white bone staff creeped out from behind.
"Child, I heard you introduce yourself, Felix, right!"
Felix was creeped out!
"How the hell did he hear that from all this distance and walls?" Felix tried to stay composed on the surface, but inside he almost cried.
"Haha, kid! We have a mental energy field. We see everything in after four stars! You will get used to it! Now, let's test you!"
Paul sounded a bit monotonous, as he only raised his voice a little to show emotion.
Felix watched the tall guy take out a white book from the bookcase and place it on the round pedestal in the center of the room.
"Felix put your hand on the book and pour your mental energy inside," Paul instructed.
Felix didn't waste any time and did as told.
His mental energy surged to the book, and he felt like a bottomless pit.
"Good, now try to fill it up." Paul's voice sounded as Felix closed his eyes, trying to visualize and use as much power as he could.
Soon, he entered a trance-like state, and he lost his sense of surroundings as only the white book stayed in his mind.
Felix felt his Nature Rune send some power from the depths of his soul as well. All runes worked in unison and resonated with his mental capacity.
In the room, some energy flux stormed. All the elements Felix constructed runes from answered his call and entered the book.
"How many elements does this kid have?" Paul was now a bit shocked to see so many colors.
"Uncle Paul, is that supposed to happen?" Anabelle pointed towards the book.
There was some change in the book, as the mental energy colored in different lights.
Some images formed on the cover, and pages had different colors, like chapters of the book were made from the new paper.
"Well, we have records of it happening, but it was a long time ago." Paul watched the disturbance with poker-face.
Soon, Felix felt his mental energy run out and opened his eyes.
The white book transformed a lot, and he could see the cover showing a simple landscape, where the sun shone on a tree, and leaves gently fell.
"Let's see the results, Felix!" Paul took the book and examined it.
"The image formation shows you have a simple understanding of nature. I can see several chapters formed in the book from new colors, indicating fire, water, earth, wind, ice, metal, thunder, dark, light, gravity, life, yin, nature energies. There are also Fire Law, Water Law, and Light Law embryos. Mental capacity reached page seventy-one." Paul said with a calm voice.
"What are you, a monster?!" Anabelle asked Felix with a shocked expression.
Felix only looked with a disturbed expression, not knowing how to react.
"Felix, your elemental rating is extraordinary, comprehension is at Law level, and mental capacity reached three-star mage! Now let's test your Mind Palace!" Paul evaluated Felix and led them to a new room, where small goldenrod was in the ground.
"Sit near the Golden Mindscepter," Paul instructed and put a blue crystal on top of the goldenrod.
Felix saw how a small energy bubble appeared around the rod, and he sat in this bubble.
Soon inside the bubble, they saw Felix's Mind Palace.
It looked like a small planet orbiting around a small fireball. That was Felix's Fire Law Rune.
"Unique Mind Palace formed a world! We will need more runes for completion. However, I rate it as high-class Mind Palace." Paul said with a calm voice, and Anabelle interrupted instantly.
"Why high class? I don't see anything special. It doesn't even have energy clusters yet!"
Felix understood that Anabelle had seen better Mind Palaces. Therefore Paul's evaluation wasn't convincing.
"Ana, this boy doesn't have clusters because he needs space, time, sound, death runes to complete the primary world energies, to create a world. There is also a method to fuse the energies to comprehend primordial chaos magic, but I don't see a gist inside the Mirror Book. I read there are other unique completion opportunities, but they all have one thing in common! No matter what kind of world you construct as your Mind Palace, you will have at least high-grade Mind Palaces power! Therefore, my evaluation is because of his potential." Paul explained in a calm voice, and Felix saw that Anabelle was satisfied with this explanation.
"Good luck, Felix. I heard that World Palace needs the longest time to complete! You will not get your second star for a long time now! Haha!" Anabelle patted Felix's shoulder in a consoling way while she laughed.
"Felix, you have an excellent potential for a mage. However, I saw no other talents in your body, so I set your evaluation at High-Grade Talent, and it is precisely the lowest passing grade to join Mage Department! Congratulations, pass me the token. I will add you to our system."
Felix saw how Paul used a similar way to add him to Mage Department as library staff to the library system.
"Now, you are in Mage Department, and you can not change it later, so don't bother," Paul said and waved his hand.
Felix felt dizzy as they space jumped into another hall.
A few people were there, and they had mage stars indicating their status.
"I can't see any stars on Paul, so does that mean he isn't a mage?" Felix wondered.
"This is the main hall in Palace of Magic, and usually, you can find someone mingling in here. Hey, Radis, a new member just joined. He has High-Grade Talent, so instruct him for now. I got to go!" Paul said to a young man and vanished from the hall.
"Don't be sad. Uncle Paul is the same with everyone. This body was just his clone!" Anabelle cheerfully went towards the other three mages, which Felix heard was Radis.
"Hi, Ana, is this the recruit?" Radis asked.
"Hi, Radis, yes, his name is Felix. He has a ton of elements and a World Palace!" Anabelle said with excitement.
"Nice to meet you, Felix! I'm Radis, and this is Shark and Vin." Radis introduced everyone.
They were the same as Ana, around fifteen years old, and wore cool outfits.
"We are from the same year batch of students! So we are all fifteen. For a few years now, no mages appeared in the Academy, so you are the fresh newbie!" Vin said with a smile.
Felix noticed they all had four stars embedded in their clothes, so he was surprised a little at their cultivation level.
"Felix, usually everyone reaches four stars at thirteen-fourteen years, so it's not surprising! We even have a senior who is said to have become four stars at the age of eight years! The fifth star is a little more difficult, so everyone takes different times!" Shark said.
"Right, Felix. Now you will have new classes in this palace. You will get to ask about your cultivation and path, so don't worry about that." Anabelle said with a smile.
Felix only listened to them talk and learned a lot of things.
First, he will get introductory classes and learn about cultivators.
Then he will get to make his schedule and attend classes about different elements, history, spells, and most importantly, battle training.
"Felix, I heard you have a lot of elements? If you have so many of them, I recommend you to get help from the Department Elders, it will cost you merit points, but if you show progress, it will be refunded!"
Vin said in a friendly manner.
"Right, right! Felix, with your ton of elements, you need help from a specialist! There are seniors here who attained abnormal elemental comprehensions. Go and look at the prices in your token!" Anabelle encouraged Felix as well.
Felix quickly took out his token and searched the Mage Department data.
"Mage Department, ID: Felix Westgate The Second, Merit: 1000

"Why are their prices so different?" Felix asked, unable to find the answer.
"Felix, Titled Mages have a different level of powers as well, and the more unique the technique or closer to Principle Mage they are, the more merit their lessons will cost. I recommend you to attend the lecture of senior Sihar. He is the best Titled Mage for fire, water, earth, and wind elements!" Radis explained.
"I should try going to his lecture then! At least I will learn about four elements, though I will lose all my merit points..." So Felix thought inside as he planned his possibilities.
Soon, he was registered for the Penox Sihar lesson and went back to his dorm.
After a good night's sleep, Felix felt excited to learn something new. So he rushed to the Palace of Magic and waited in room 1066 for the Titled Mage to arrive.
"It is a very personal space here," Felix observed the room and saw Penox's name on the wall, various magic artifacts, crystals, and a small roundtable for lessons one on one.
Felix heard the door woosh as a man in his late thirties came inside. He looked very charming and harmonious with his surroundings, as if all things around him welcomed his existence.
"Now that I think about it, this aura of his reminds me of Abbadon, somehow." Felix looked at the man curiously.
"Well, hello, young one! I am Penox Sihar. As you can see from my name, I am not a descendant of the Westgate Clan, but I still joined, as clans elders took me from the streets and raised me!" Pentox had a very resonant voice. It just filled the room with this warmth and joy.
"Hello, teacher Pentox, my name is Felix! I registered to get a lesson from you!" Felix was polite and quick to the point, as always.
"Haha, I see you don't like wasting time! However, you don't need to feel rushed. I will instruct you comprehensively about the four elements. If we need more time, we will continue the next day."
Felix was glad to hear that he wasn't rushed to learn as fast as possible.
"Felix, as you have seen in your token information, your merit points will be refunded if I deem your progress substantial enough for the clan to help you more! We will talk about it at the end of our meetings, and now let's see what you have up your sleeve!"
Pentox took out four crystals from the wall and placed them on the round table.
"These are Law Integration Crystals. As you can tell from the name, they correspond to three stars of magical energy! However, they also show lower grade powers. So pour your fire magic into this red crystal, and let's see how it responds."
Soon, Felix poured magic power into the fire, water, earth, and wind crystals to see their difference.
"Well, Felix, I believe you can see it as well! Your Fire Law Rune dominates the four elements. However, you need to balance them to create fundamental harmony."
"What does that mean, teacher Penox?" Felix expressed his confusion.
"Well, I will open some restrictions to let you read more in the library, but for now, let's put it like this! The four elements are the most abundant and straightforward in the universe! For example, the fire in the mortal world uses oxygen consumption, but in the more advanced civilizations, we can see that they manage to burn anything, really, haha!"
Felix was surprised to hear such a chemical and physical abbreviation.
"Well, you will learn that some mortal worlds can advance their technology so much that they create mutations of bodies, gene control, and even understand the soul, later becoming cultivators themselves. But, unfortunately, they have an impending doom if they meet stronger influences that destroy them in the universe! However, we are not here to talk about the history of mortals!"
"Well, that took a turn..." Felix was quite interested in hearing about mortal civilizations.
"Now that you know that mortals cannot compare their understanding to what you received from the fire energy when you created the Fire Rune! I believe you sensed and felt information about fire flooding your brain then?" Pentox asked.
"Yes, teacher, what was that phenomenon?" Felix inquired.
"That we call universal response, or unlocking comprehension! The Ancient Magi Civilization called it receiving the universe's knowledge!"
Pentox was very passionate and talked a lot about this phenomenon.
"Felix, you see, all cultivators receive this help from the world until they become Titled Gods! For example, a sword cultivator reaches terrifying power and acquires knowledge about the sword as he comprehends it. However, even the most talentless body cultivator can receive this information by learning the world's secrets and absorbing corresponding energy!" Penox said passionately.
"So why did I get more information from the Law Runes?" Felix asked.
"Well, Felix, it is not correct to say that you got this information. It is more accurate to say that you had enough talent to understand that information at that moment and memorize it!"
Penox smiled mysteriously and took out a small orb, where images appeared. First, they showed a kid receiving the information after absorbing the energy.
"As you can see, everyone has that enlightening moment! But unfortunately, your talent to comprehend determines how much information you can memorize from this blessing. We can see that you collected a humongous amount of information about the elements from these four crystals! Sadly, I think it is also why you stagnated for quite a while now without making progress!" Pentox said with a calming voice.
"Why is that, teacher?" Felix wanted to know the answer.
"Well, if you have a lot of information but haven't truly understood it all, can you say that you know it all just because you memorized it?" Pentox smiled as he saw understanding appear on Felix's face.
"So that's how it is! I must go through all that information to understand the elements more!" Felix was a bit excited.
"That is correct. This task will also be your homework. I want you first to learn everything you received about the four elements and report back to me! Then, for a while, leave other elements for a later time. When you get the hang of it, you will save a lot of trouble!" Penox smiled and cleared the table to put a simple mirror on it.
"Now, let's see how my elements look! Observe, Felix. I will put on the mirroring plate just the simplest fire, water, earth, and wind energies, that I have purified!"
Felix watched as Penox raised his finger above the mirror and four drops with different elements gently sat on its surface.
They were very harmonious and just gently revolved around each other.
"This simple harmony is what you must achieve first! Then, when the four elements ultimately nurture each other, you will find your World Palace in balance as well!. Now take these crystals and the mirror and practice as you learn the information! Notify me when you do, and we will see if you need more meetings! Goodbye!"
Felix went to his room to practice. However, he noticed new information in his token.
"Schedule: Introductory class - Palace of Magic, Professor Zakari Mo, room 50099, tomorrow 6 AM."
"Hmm, it seems I got more classes!" Felix looked at the time and saw he had a lot to do now as his studies began.
Felix was ready to learn everything!
