Chapter 20 - Chapter 20: Spellcasting

"Okay!" Felix smiled and felt the weird power of Professor Zakari Mo forcefully teleport him.

"It doesn't feel so dizzy as before!" Felix noticed he didn't feel so much nausea after the space jump.

"Good, kid! You made vast improvements! However, now you must learn to control all this new stuff in your Inner World! Otherwise, you will hurt someone unintentionally!"

Felix listened to the professor talk and looked around at this new place.

He was now in front of a bizarre building. It looked like a giant cube made from marble, and it had a golden door in the middle.

Felix felt that he was as tiny as an ant before this door.

"This is Core Westgate! Only Core disciples, elders, and clans' higher-ups can enter! Now let's go. You need your new equipment!"

They quickly passed through the big entrance and entered a whole different realm.

There was a whole blue sky, stars, and fields of grass.

He saw mountains and rivers, lakes and forests.

"Felix, this is a small world. Our clan opened it to nurture the most talented disciples! Now let's go. Second Core Elder is waiting!" Professor Mo leads Felix towards the forest.

Soon they saw a small brick house with two floors. There were thousands of pots filled with plants that Felix couldn't recognize.

"These pots are weird!" Felix observed how the pot nearest to him absorbed the world's energy.

"You are finally here!" A soft voice of an older man traveled from the house.

Felix quickly noticed a man in his late sixties. He had a balding head and a short silver beard.

The most exciting part of his look was a green emerald robe, which almost looked alive.

"Welcome to the Core World, Felix! I am the Second Core Elder and the highest-ranking mage in the Palace of Magic! You can call me Elder Medie'th!"

Felix heard the man introduce himself and offer polite greetings.

"Hello, Second Core Elder, it is nice to meet you!" Felix smiled.

"Yes, yes, come inside, we will have some tea, as I explain things!" Elder Medie'th invited them both to his abode.

"Felix, I believe you heard that higherups updated your status, and you are now a core disciple! Do you know anything about core discipleship?" The Second Core Elder asked.

"To be honest, I am not sure what this status means," Felix said calmly.

"Yes, well, you see, a core disciple is someone who the Westgate Clan deems an important future asset! We Ximen Academy teachers, elders, and staff will assist your growth to the best of our abilities! All books in your cultivation stage and above can become available, as long as you need them! You can use all resources and facilities and even book them later! There are lots and lots of privileges, and you can use them for free!"

Elder Medie'th smiled and looked Felix in the eyes.

"What is the catch?" Felix smiled bitterly.

"Haha, it seems you are not naive!" Elder Medie'th looked at the child and took out a small pendant.

It looked like a golden arc, filled with so many inscriptions you couldn't see with a naked eye.

"This will be your Westgate Arc Token! It is proof of your status as the core disciple. Also, it has an even vaster interface that you can use to look for information, book appointments, and even message others who use such tokens! Anyone in the outside world, who sees this token and still dares to harm you, will be a mortal enemy of our clan! Of course, we will instruct how to use your disciple status in the future when you leave to complete tasks!" Felix listened to Elder Medie'th and noded.

He wore the pendant, and it seamlessly fused with his body, leaving no trace at all.

Felix felt this Arc-like structure appear in his mind-space, and he thought he could control it to see all information inside.

"You can play with the information inside later! Now you still have other things to receive!" Elder Medie'th took out a ring with a green cuboid emerald in the middle.

Felix noticed some small lines flowing in the crystal, and even the metal weirdly bubbled inside.

"This is Three Dimensions Ring, a God-King tier treasure! Inside there is a vast space available for simple storage! The second space stores living creatures up to the Fifth Stage, and in the third space is a small reservoir of energy, with escape and opening shattering formations! You can use it in an emergency to escape deadly situations. Not even God-Emperor will be able to stop you!" Elder Medie'th smiled as he passed the ring to Felix.

"Okay, now the last thing! This jade tablet is the Westgate Token! The clan higher-ups asked us to give it to you! Now put a drop of blood on the ring and tablet, and they will be yours! But, of course, only you will know what information the clan has stored inside the Westgate Token, so look at it later!"

Felix was surprised to hear so much good news.

"Now, you are fully equipped and need to hear the rules! In three years, you will experience training, after which you will be sent to the outside world to complete a task for the clan and prove yourself! Naturally, your progress will determine the job's difficulty, and of course, the test determines the rewards! You will get core merit points after each completion! They are used only for core treasures of the clan! So you will not be disappointed! Now let me explain your new classes!" Elder Medie'th smiled.

"First of all, you will have battle training after you complete your introductory casting class! Innate Spell Formations are unique, but the clan has collected numerous tomes about magic, records, and even legends from all around! So you will get some understanding about yours as well!" Medie'th said with a calming voice.

"Next, you will have to choose your primary discipline! For example, fire magic, four elements magic, summoning, death, life, healing, all of those are magic disciplines, and if you want to master them, you have to focus a lot of your time and effort!" Medie'th said with an unquestionable tone.

"Elder Medie'th, how can I choose when I have so many elements?" Felix didn't wait and asked.

"Be patient, child! The clan has so many possible paths collected. Indeed, you will find something that suits you! Now the last thing, you must choose your secondary supporting occupation! Magi have such vast adaptability, so they can train to become alchemists, formation masters, beast tamers, and so much more! Learn about the occupations and choices in your free time! This rule is mandatory, as sometimes you might need more than just power to survive in the outside world!"

Elder Medie'th poured some medicinal tea, and they all enjoyed the smell.

"Now that official business is over. Would you let us see your Inner World space?" Medie'th was very polite and continued talking.

"Felix, also remember that inside the clan, you are safe, so you can let anyone you deem worthy see your Inner World! However, in the outside world, do not trust anyone! Even if you fall in love, leave some cards just in case you need it! Believe me when I say that powerhouses have thousands of means of retrieving information, so if you tell, show, or write, the enemies will find it eventually!"

Felix looked with a significant focus and finally nodded.

"Come inside then!" Felix opened his mind-space and felt two new fluctuations near his mind avatar.

"Welcome to my Chaotic World! I named it after my Runes Spiral, as it is governed by the Chaotic Law Rune and Primordial Star Chart spell formation." Felix said in a composed manner.

He watched the shocked expressions of Professor Mo and Elder Medie'th.

"Child, this is Natural Creation Nascent Chaotic Formation! It is also known as Mental Universe Realm formation! I have read about them in the ancient Magi archives! They said this is how an actual world appears inside a powerhouse's cultivation realm! Only those who have comprehended the universe's secrets and achieved its acknowledgment can construct it as their Inner World!" Elder Medie'th and Professor Mo looked around with serious looks.

"Is there a problem?" Felix frowned as he noticed their severe tones.

"No, child! This universe is one of the best Inner Worlds a mage can create! This world will also become more vast, powerful, and vital when you raise your cultivation! Everything you learn will develop it! The potential is endless. Unfortunately, the amount of energy every breakthrough consumes will be astronomical!" elder Medie'th explained with an experienced voice.

"Kid, you are lucky to have a considerable background! The clan will be your strongest ally in cultivation! of course. We won't let you become a burden, so better work hard! Hahaha!" Professor Mo laughed.

"Child, let's examine your soul realm! Grand Elder Sieg reported that your Tyranum bloodline awakened in your tribulation!"

Felix nodded and focused on their avatars and brought them into his soul-space.

Elders watched with confusion about the soul avatar and nascent souls copy cultivated in a green pond, where Nature Law Rune gently floated.

In the middle of the soul-realm, above the pond, a vast energy circle was revolving in a pattern.

"Dear, Ancestor! This image is genuinely Tyranums Bloodline! However, it still needs nurturing to reveal traits, skills, and abilities!"

"Elder Medie'th, what is this Tyranum Bloodline? " Felix asked the elder, who was still rambling and mumbling in shock.

"Felix! One of the ancestors and founders of the clan was Borg Westgate! After his incredible bloodline, he took a title and was recorded as Ancestor Tyranum! He was the first mage of the Westgate Clan, and Tyranum bloodline is our trait mark! Only the direct line of his descendants has a chance to awaken it if their talent allows it!"

"So what does it do? Elders, please enlighten me. Do I need to help it become stronger, or what?" Felix asked.

"Child, you don't need to worry. You can freely read about this bloodline tomorrow in a library! However, I can tell you that it is one of the most fantastic bloodlines a mage can acquire! Now let's leave this place!"

Elder Medie'th left the Inner World of Felix, and they all continued their tea party.

"Felix, it will be difficult to control such destructive magic! Your Inner World is colossal, and your bloodline is berserk! So you must find a way to condense energy to your soul, mind, and body! I noticed a simple nurturing that your Innate Spell Formation was doing, but now it will not meet your pace!" Professor Mo said after a long pause.

"Little Zakari is correct, Felix! Your magic spells, Inner World, runes, and everything else will evolve to God Runes soon! As you come closer to the Titled Mage stage, your body, mind, and soul will experience tremendous pressure from all your magics! Therefore, I recommend you find some ways to help yourself improve your constitution externally! " Elder Medie'th smiled.

"Elders, do you think Alchemy Department could help me in this venture?" Felix tried to get more helpful information from them.

"Haha, the Ximen Academy will have a lot of ways to help you achieve strong enough powers, so work hard! If we tell you everything, you won't learn to do things yourself! Now let's have some nice food. I haven't eaten in ages!" Elder Medie'th was an excellent host.

Felix stayed with the two elders the whole afternoon, eating fine food, drinking extraordinary tea, and listening to weird stories and advice.

"This clan is very social and happy!" I have not seen many problems apart from that Tyro who was creepy in the central continent of Boundless Star!

Felix contemplated while traveling Core Realm, trying to reach his new courtyard.

This Core Realm was huge as Felix traveled on foot, trying to enjoy the scenery.

Eventually, he reached his new home. It was a very stylish and spacious mansion, and the servants were already waiting for him near the entrance.

"Hello, young master! I am your butler, Vikor, and this is your head maid Virgo! We are at your service!" The man in a weird black costume and white gloves greeted Felix enthusiastically.

"Nice to meet you, guys! I hope we will have no trouble during my stay here!" Felix smiled and entered the mansions as Vikor and Virgo followed him.

"Young master, all the rooms and their purpose can be found with your token! Use the token to order us if you need service, or tell the maids your orders!" Vikor said with a polite voice.

"Well, I have some questions! I heard I can invite two confidants to help me with my daily matters! How do I do that?" Felix asked.

"Yes, young master, you can instruct Virgo or me to invite your confidants, and we will bring them and accommodate them in here! Also, you can command with your token, and the Academy staff will get them here! " Vikor said with precision.

"That's wonderful, Vikor. I want you to invite Marcus and Amelia from the Purple Sand branch's district! Just tell them that I asked them to be my confidants, and they will understand." Felix smiled and walked to his cultivation room.

"Yes, sir! We will accomplish it with haste!" Vikor bowed and went to complete his assignment.

Felix didn't talk with them anymore and closed his cultivation room door.

"This is such a great environment!" Felix smiled as he felt abundant energy in the room.

He quickly entered his cultivation state and absorbed the energies.

"I should cultivate patiently every day, no slacking!" Felix decided.

The evening quickly came, and he decided to explore his new Core Disciple's Token interface.

Felix focused his mental energy and received the new information:

"Core Disciple: Felix Westgate The Second.

Schedule: Spellcasting - Tomorrow at 10 AM.

Felix skimmed through the new interface and quickly ordered new books to be delivered.

"Well, it seems Marcus and Amelia won't arrive today! So I should get some sleep!"

Felix found sleeping a constructive way to refresh his mind, so he tried to stay healthy.

The following day, he received news from Vikor that his confidants will arrive today in the evening.

"I should get ready for the spellcasting lesson." Felix calmly meditated in the main hall as he waited for food.

Time passed, and Felix found his way to a new classroom.

It was more like an arena, as the area around was a stone platform, around which there were seats.

"Hello, student! I am your teacher, Third Core Elder, also known as Spellcrazed Apostle Rouse! You can just address me, teacher Rou! Now I inform you that I have the highest expertise in spellcasting the Palace of Magic can offer, but if you find other teachers more suitable, don't wait and just readjust your schedule! I can see that only three people joined this class, and only one is a mage!" Teacher Rou looked at Felix and two other students.

One of the students was a girl in her twenties.

"She surely has a flat chest, but her backside is a testament of evolution!" Felix had perverted thoughts.

The other student was a bizarre-looking guy. His whole outfit was black, and even the head had a small black cap.

"I don't think I can tell if his shadow is even here!" Felix was alarmed by this bizarre man.

"I received reports that Lady Frida and Sir Gorge will attend the lesson for their preparations of Titled God mission! Sir Felix will begin his Core training, so let's start!" Teacher Rou began his lesson.

"Felix, show me your best spell! Don't worry about the surroundings or students. I will stop damages if they appear!" Teacher Rou instructed Felix.

"Yes, teacher Rou!" Felix didn't mind.

After all, he mastered a lot of spells over the years.

"I wanted to unleash this new spell for quite a while! " Felix thought as he remembered the latest information he acquired during his breakthrough.

"So if I put Chaos Law Energy as the foundation and other energies as support in the Primordial Chart in this pattern, I get this Chaotic Space Tear spell!" Felix perused the information he memorized from runes and Innate Spell Formation.

Teacher Rou and two students observed how the energies swirled around Felix as he muttered incantations and began forming patterns of spell circles in the air.

"I don't see anything dangerous about this spell," The bizarre man conversed with Lady Frida.

"Yes, I can't tell for sure what he is casting, but I don't feel an instinctive need to avoid it..." Lady Frida responded with a quiet voice.

"Frida, Gorge, don't underestimate this spell! I feel fluctuations of Chaos Magic inside! Memorize this feeling. If you meet a six-star mage who uses such fluctuations, run without hesitation!" Teacher Rou began casting invisible barrier spells around Frida Gorge and Felix.

Soon, seven spell circles appeared above Felix. One in the middle was the smallest but controlled Felix's energy.

"Nimuen'h Sur To F'iar!" Felix commanded the spell with weird witchcraft, and the Chaotic Space Tear spell was complete.

Teacher Rou watched how the spell circle summoned a black blade that struck his direction.

The black blade tore the space out of existence as it sped through the air towards Teacher Rou.

Eery screech made Frida and Gorge feel terror in their hearts, and they soon saw the black blade connect with the barrier Teacher Rou cast.

The moment two magics connected, the Chaotic Space Tear cast and the black blade collapsed into millions of space tears!

A terrifying space storm appeared and consumed all energy, matter, and life in the small sphere of around two kilometers.

Teacher Rou had to use several more barriers to lighten the damage around them.

"Good job, Felix!" Teacher Rou said after the storm vanished.

"Frida, Gorge, tell me the weakness of this magic!" Teacher Rou commanded.

"The only weakness I find is the long casting time! When the mage cast the spell successfully, I don't find myself able to evade it at all!" Gorge said in a quivering voice.

He still found it ridiculous that he felt no danger from this spell!

"Correct! All Chaos spells are near impossible to avoid as they pursue their prey through space and time!" Teacher Rou said with a satisfied expression.

"Frida, if you see this spell coming your way, what do you do!?" Teacher Rou asked with a mischievous smile.

Felix watched how this woman made a long pause while considering her options.

"Even though I am Titled God, I think I will use my God-King ring to escape!" Frida said with conviction.

"Correct again! Any student who is foolish enough to face Space Tear with their bodies is either suicidal or crazy! To survive such a strike, you need to be a master sword cultivator or a formation master who has done previous preparation! Otherwise, death would be salvation! Usually, this kind of space storm would banish you to void, and you would die from the passage of time, lost in space!" Teacher Rou said with a calm voice.

"Felix, what do you think is the best situation for you to use this spell in battle?"

"Teacher Rou, I think I should avoid such long spellcasting if I don't have protection and reassurance to complete it successfully!" Felix said after some thought.

"Haha, this will be an accessible lecture! You guys seem like a prudent bunch! Felix is correct Chaos Spells take a few seconds to cast, even in the best-case scenario! However, if the enemy feels this fluctuation, they will focus on you like there is no tomorrow! Without defense, you will be killed in a flash by sword cultivators! Now let's talk a bit about Space, Time, and Chaos spells!" Teacher Rou cast three different spell circles.
