Gloria took all inner disciples to the Inner Tower.
Felix only saw that they passed several portals and reached this magnificent structure.
"Listen up! Inner disciples will be living in the Inner Tower! Now I will explain how your inner disciple token works!"
Gloria gave everyone around the medallion, with Inner Desciple inscribed on it.
"You can focus your mental energy on it now!" Gloria instructed.
Felix tried extending his mental force towards the medallion, and he heard a click inside his head.
"Inner Desciple: Felix Westgate The Second! Merit: 1000, Quests: not registered, Department: Not confirmed, Clan branch: Purple Sand, Ancestral line: Tyranum."
Information chart appeared inside his mind-space, and he also saw a small icon in the corner showing some tiny man logo.
"Is this like a game status menu?" Felix was very impressed by this interface.
"You all should be able to see a thousand merit points and your information! Each inner disciple gets thousand merit points to spend, while regular disciples only receive ten! Now focus your attention on the logo you see in the corner!"
Felix tried pressing the logo, and the chart changed to show new information.
"Ximen Academy Map, Departments, Library Status: Unregistered, Cultivation level: Not tested, Schedule: Next lesson - Universal Knowledge Class (0/3 completion), Progress: 0%, School (preliminary): Mage (1 star), Personal Teacher: None, Status: Inner Disciple, Rank: Unranked."
Felix read the information he received and was surprised to open the school map and even see all departments and their descriptions.
"You should be able to control the information in your disciple token. If there are any problems, tell the staff, and we will fix it!"
Gloria gained everyone's attention, and Felix was ready to listen.
"Now, you all should see that you have no progress, no rank, and no tests done! First, you will have to complete your Universal Knowledge class. Then, it is mandatory to gain access to other information, as not everyone has the same starting line!"
Felix saw that his class was tomorrow morning in the first auditorium.
"This disciple's token is very convenient!" Felix was happy with such an arrangement.
"Now! You will get your rank after the end-of-year examination! The higher the grade, the better the rewards! Next, your progress bar will be adjusted when you complete your cultivation tests at the testing hall! Finally, students can enter the department any time through the token or after completing the entrance exam if the department sets it!"
Felix was browsing the information in the token and saw some requirements to enter some departments. For example, one had to be a mage to join the Mage Department.
"Merit points are gained with significant accomplishments in your studies and cultivation until you graduate from the Ximen Academy! Then, you will see what you can gain from merit points in the Merit Hall! Students can take quests to gain merit as well! However, your department must evaluate your qualifications for the tasks before you can take them!"
Gloria entered the Inner Tower, and the kids followed.
"Your dorm rooms are ready, and you can find them on the map. You will learn about the inner disciple perks later, so I won't waste time talking about that. If you have any questions, please ask now, or we will end this introduction!" Gloria looked at the small crowd.
There were only about fifty kids in this inner disciples batch.
"Teacher, how do we register into the library?" Student asked.
"Right, I forgot to mention the library!" Gloria showed some impatience.
"You will be registered when you use the library functions, by the staff! Also, you can get different statuses, according to your behavior! For example, if you lose or destroy tomes, act like a jerk inside the library and all that stuff, you could lose your privilege to read there, no matter your status, so act wisely! That's it for today, goodbye!"
Gloria ignored some of the kids who still had something to say and left the tower.
Felix reached his dorm room with the help of the token map.
"This tower is enormous!" Felix was shocked to see so many floors and facilities.
There were hundreds of floors inside and numerous laboratories, alchemy rooms, training rooms, and even abilities testing rooms. However, they all cost merit points to use.
Felix had a small room to live in, and he had three neighbors near his dorm room.
Inside the room was a small bed, table, and bookcase. There was also a separate bathroom, so it was straightforward.
The room also contained some formations to control the energy inside the room if you wanted to train. However, they also cost merit points.
Felix noticed, his token lit up a bit.
"Notification: Room 1006, Unranked, Occupant: Felix Westgate the Second."
Felix could look at all information about the rooms and saw that the higher rank students got better rooms with more equipment.
"It seems everything will cost merit. The better my results, the more rewarding my time here will get." Felix concluded his observations and went to sleep, as his Universal Knowledge class was early in the morning, and he planned to go to the cafeteria before that.
The following day Felix was standing in front of the first auditorium.
Thousands of new students waited for the first class to begin.
Soon, Felix noticed a short fat older man with a monocle. He had a small brown book and a very unfriendly face.
"Good morning, I will be your teacher for these introduction classes! My name is Suyu! Let's get inside!"
Felix heard the short man say in a very rough voice.
Everyone entered the auditorium and took a seat.
"This is more like a colosseum!" Felix looked at the gigantic auditorium as thousands of students sat down.
"We will have three classes in total! Today will be the first, tomorrow the second, and so on! We will talk about your current status and future work in the first class! The second class will be about this universe and a little introduction to life! Finally, the last class will give you the information about the political powers in this universe!"
Suyu talked with haste, and he somehow made his voice reach every kid without any echoes or unnecessary noise.
"So, as Ximen Academies students, you have several privileges! First of all, you can gain merit through your achievements in your studies. No other clan members have this privilege! Next, you can be selected to enter discipleship! The influential teacher is an excellent start in life."
Kids were listening, but Felix noticed some kids had a very bored expression.
"It appears most of them already have this basic knowledge," Felix observed while listening to the fat man.
"Also, you must understand that students have obligations! First, you have to show progress! If you don't, you will lose your status. For example, an inner disciple can become a regular disciple when they show no improvement. Also, students act as a simple task force for the clan. For example, the family needs low-stage cultivators to do something in a mortal world or travel somewhere to get things done!"
The fat man had a monotonous voice, and even Felix felt bored listening.
"So you work for the clan and gain merit! The last thing you need to know is that in times of war, students are mandatory to serve as troops, so that's that..."
It was hours of monotonous talking, and everyone felt like fried beans inside their brains.
Felix tried to memorize all the rules and regulations, but it was hard to keep up with the shorty professor, who even used holograms to show the information briefly.
Finally, some rich-looking kid couldn't hold it and sighed loudly with a whiney sound.
The professor stopped his monologue and looked straight at the kid.
"What disrespect! I revoke your right to the library for one month. This little punishment is a final warning. All of you will have to complete some tasks after this class. If I find even one lacking, we will repeat them until every one of you is not a disgraceful country bumpkin!"
Felix could feel great power from this professor now and knew that this kid, who got the full brunt of it, was scared shitless.
"Okay, I more or less talked about everything. If you want to see this information, you can do that in the library! Now today, you will do these tasks! First, register at the library, and read basic information! Next, familiarize yourself with rules and get your schedules in the staff registry! I might ask something tomorrow, so be ready!"
Felix didn't feel any pressure, but he was shocked to see small kids taught like students back on earth.
After this class, he accomplished the tasks and was very interested in the basic information.
"There is so much information in this Academy! I will try out all those tests to see how to improve best, as well!"
In essential information to me, Felix saw that this Ximen Academy had many services to help kids improve their cultivation.
Many Alchemists, Doctors, Fighters, and others assisted students with their questions.
The next day came quickly, and everyone waited for Professor Suyu in the auditorium.
"Hello! As I said yesterday, we will talk about this universe now!"
This time the kids had more exciting looks, as most of them had never heard any information about this universe from their seniors in any branch.
"Okay, so we placed a ban on a lot of information, thus only lucky encounters, where you find information in ruins or trials, can teach you about this world!"
Professor Suyu still had a cranky voice and tried to sputter.
"So our universe is called Gods Realm. We have broken down all territories to starfields to map better and understand it."
Felix heard about this God's Realm for the first time.
"First of all, we are settled in Ximen Starfield. From the name, you can understand that this starfield has our Ximen Star Domain and is also known as Westgate Starfield. Next to the west is Heavenly Beast Starfield. The Heavenly Beast Sect rules it. To the east is the Void Storm Forbidden zone. It is one of the most dangerous places in this God Realm. Finally, to the north is a very vast Powerless Starfield. This place has no or shallow energy for cultivation."
"Maybe Earth is located in this Powerless Starfield!" Felix was a bit surprised to hear about such a place.
"Also, the south is a massive battlefield from the Ancient Past! To conclude our location, it is perfect in times of war, as only Heavenly Beast Starfield can be crossed easily to reach our Ximen Star Domain."
Felix was interested in these surrounding starfields, but Suyu stopped talking about them.
"God Realm has hundreds of thousands of various size starfields. Our Ximen Starfield is located about a hundred starfields away from the center of this universe."
Again a monotonous listening started for hours.
Felix listened with great interest as Suyu gave more and more information about this world.
In this class, the ruins, battlefields, tombs, cultivation grounds, and many geographical places were worth knowing about.
"Okay, let's get you some tasks!" After hours of talking, Suyu coughed and gave them some homework.
"Everyone is going to go to merit hall and look around! Also, buy a basic star chart! It will show Starfields with notable Stars around Ximen Starfield. Though it is small, please get used to it. Next, I want everyone to learn Ximen Starfield Domain geography, like the back of your hands! And lastly, read the introductory tome about God Realm in your free time. You don't need to finish it by tomorrow! Dismissed!"
Felix had a routine by now. He quickly did his tasks, had some food in the cafeteria, and slept like a baby.
The next day came, and the kids waited for Suyu once again.
"Hello! Today we will talk about various political powers in God Realm!"
Felix wanted to hear about this a lot, so he focused to the best of his ability.
"If you aren't stupid, you should already figure it out that the might makes right in this God Realm! Thus, various powers in the God Realm are ranked by the strongest experts they possess!"
Everyone waited for Suyu to tell them about this very much.
"As you all know, there are many stages to cultivation, and they are named Warrior, Supreme Core, Soul Transformation, World Class, Demigod, Titled God, Principle God, God-King, and God-Emperor! These are nine stages of power, and we call them Mortal Transformation Stages!"
Felix listened to Suyu with great focus, so did everyone else.
"When you reach Titled God stage, you will get to learn more about the cultivation, so this is all you need to know for now!"
Suyu hastily talked and went on in his monotonous robotic voice.
"If power has God-Emperor in their ranks, they are first-rate power, if only a God-King, then second rate and so on! The Westgate Clan is a first-rate power in God Realm. We are not the strongest, but we are one of the oldest powers in this universe!"
Suyu tried to sound humble, but everyone could hear his disdain for other forces in this universe.
"The most potent force publicly is Gods Starfield, where various Gods who use belief system to cultivate, reside! They are ranked number one in the top ten powers publicly! Moreover, they have the highest number of known God Emperors and God-Kings. Next, in the second place, we have Tang Dynasty, Elemental Palace, fourth place Sword Union, fifth place Demonic Gods Sect, sixth place Haron Auction Group, seventh place Fae Realm Starfield, eighth place Witch Cult, ninth place Mad League and tenth place Origin Palace."
Suyu made a pause, and everyone was a bit sad to see their clan, not in the top ten.
"Don't be disappointed. This ranking is just a public evaluation. All powers have a lot of hidden forces. You only need to remember that first-rate capabilities are not to be offended! You will learn about your clan's strength when you reach Principle God Stage!"
Felix was disappointed not to hear anything about the Westgate Clans' information.
"Next, you need to know that our clan is a hermit clan, as we don't fight for more territories or external treasures! The last conflict we had was just a simple skirmish, as one of our youngsters was hurt in the outside world for no good reason. We are a well-known first-rate power, and usually, our teachings are to stay low-profile in the outside world and not invoke trouble."
Felix listened to Suyu with a bit of a frown on his face, but he refrained from asking a question.
"Now, our clan's policy is that up to the sixth stage, you will have the right to travel inside Ximen Starfield. After you reach Principle God Stage, you will not make us look shameful on the outside world!" Suyu said with a bit of vigor.
"The only exception is various youngsters tournaments, external opportunities, like various training realm openings and such! Then our powerhouses escort youths if we have free slots for such an event!"
Suyu kept talking about their clan policies and interacting with other powers.
"For now, we have no sworn enemy, as we have destroyed them in the last Doomsday War! It involved the whole God Realm. Thus we used it to get rid of our enemies." Suyu talked about the powers they had in business.
"Our allies are Heavenly Beast Sect, Gods Starfield, Fae Starfield, and many more. You will learn more about them later. "
Suyu made a slight cough to bring some kids from their stupor.
"The Westgate Clan's primary business is information selling and teleportation portals! We have branches around the God Realm and long-distance portals for convenient travel. The information business is our side job, as we use our unique communication treasure, Bloodline Connection Bell, to pass messages across vast distances. Our teleportation gates are the creation of our Ancestors, and they are in our control as long as we live. Therefore, others pay vast fortunes to use these portals for their travels!"
Felix was shocked to hear that this clan survived on the information and transportation business.
"Just how secure and fast must they be to control such an unreliable business in this magical world?" Felix had a lot of questions, but he knew he would find out eventually.
"Also, our clan uses Alchemy, Formations, Auctions, and many more ways to earn spiritual crystals, so you will have to contribute in one way or another!"
Suyu said and then talked about more political matters and released the kids with their new tasks.
Felix was highly enticed to know more about this world, so he decided to go to the library and find out what information he could peruse.
The library was a vast building complex that connected regular, inner, and core disciple faculties.
Felix entered the reception hall, where staff helped the students find the information.
"Hello, how can I be of service?" Felix saw an elegant aunty with a school staff uniform.
"Hello, I was wondering if you could help me register and find some tomes?" Felix tried to be polite, even though he saw some older students order the staff around as they pleased.
"Yes, young student! Please pass me your token of identification." Aunty quickly entered his inner disciple token into the system.
Felix watched how this woman used some weird artifact to light up his token.
"Here you go, now you will have access to inner disciples tomes, according to your stage, progress, merits, achievements, and permissions from the teachers," Aunty explained.
"Okay, I also wanted to find tomes about the Gods Realm. Could you help me with that?"
"Of course, are you already in a department, young student?" The woman inquired.
"No, I haven't chosen it yet!" Felix followed the lady and kept the small talk going.
"Then, I recommend choosing quickly, as you will unlock more information in the library that your department subscribes!"
Felix followed the woman and watched innumerable shelves, equipment, and rooms pass by.
"This is World Information Section!" The woman pointed at the row of tomes, and Felix memorized the number.
"Young student, you can find the map or summon staff using your token any time! Also, you can find free reading rooms with equipment ready to use. They will cost you nothing if you don't need additional help! Have a nice studying!" Aunty left quickly, and Felix found the books he wished to read.
He picked several tomes depicting the most substantial powers, the Westgate Clans history, and more.
Felix used his token to find the tomes he could read. However, it also showed how many books he was restricted from reading because of his low stage and clearance.
"I can't even touch those books! Well, I must increase my clearance as much as I can, and fast!" Felix felt pain seeing so many books just waiting for him.
His inner nerd from his previous life was on, and he just wanted to learn as fast as he could.
Felix read a lot of basic information about the Gods Realm and concluded that it was nothing better than Professor Suyu explained.
"I should forget about it for now! These books are just basic. I better go choose my department." Felix was disappointed by these books and went back to his room.
He surfed his inner token to read about all departments. Soon, Felix concluded the three best choices for him to join.
The Mage Department, Mental Energy Department, Alchemy Department.
The Mage Department was evident, and he read it had a lot of benefits and was one of the most vital branches in the Academy.
Mental Energy Department had the best mental energy usage arts. It provided help with everything concerning mental energy.
Alchemy Department focused on alchemy, and Felix had a little knowledge about it from granny Ofelia.
"Mage Department it is, then!" Felix decided after looking at all possible choices.
