CHAPTER 27
Late September
The chance of thirty percent chance of rain, cold temperature, and partly cloudy skies.
Attention, passengers: this is your conductor speaking. Arriving in thirty minutes
Choon Hee departed from the train then took a local bus to her destination. She crossed the street and walked up the hill to her family's farm.
A trail of pleasant memories of her youth suddenly emerged of children playing in the field – They often wake up early to feed the animals, care for the crops then harvesting plants, feeding, and herding groups of animals.
She cherished the good and bad
There's an older woman in her late forties struggling to carry bags of vegetables. Short black hair, wearing a purple sunflower print purple hoodie underneath the lime green apron with long red gloves up the sleeves.
"Allow me to carry those for you, mother." Choon Hee persuaded.
The woman's eyes lit up and was surprised to see a familiar face." What are you doing here? You are not a part of the family anymore. Go home!" She looked at her coldly and was about to chase her away then her eyes widen.
"You don't want to lose customers, do you? We must get there early and find the perfect spot!"
The woman wouldn't miss the opportunity to earn income and followed her.
"Please sit, mother." Choon Hee says calmly and pat the cushion then a pair of hands help out the woman to sit down comfortably.
With the woman's permission Choon Hee set up the table and organized the vegetables by color. She was helpless and wanted her mother to forgive her.
Although she expected it to be busy the street was crowded.
Nobody approached the stand.
Choon Hee put matters into her own hands and bargain a deal with customers. As she walked up to each one individually.
The woman wanted to beat her up, but her heart surprisingly softens as more time progressed. Pretending not to notice her hard efforts and her swollen ankles.
As night fell, Choon Hee finished with the last customer and begin to break down the stand.
"Why are you here? Where is my son-in-law?" The woman asked coldly, narrowing her eyes.
Shocked. Speechless.
"I left Sung Min after I caught him cheating with my best friend." She answers casually, trying her hide the crack in her voice. Continuing to break down the table
"With whom, Si-woo?"
She slightly nodded and pained her heart to recall.
"How shameless! What about the father? Does he know?
"He doesn't want anything to do with them. "At some point tears stream down her cheek.
Speechless.
"My poor daughter. Why did this have to happen to you? My sweet, sweet daughter!" The woman heart broke upon hearing the news. She gave Choon Hee a tight hug and both cried.

The Kang residence
It's across from the farm and the main house that Choon Hee grew up in with her three siblings.
99-room tiled roofed house and a small, three-room oak bark with one of the best interior designs.
Choon Hee did not pay attention to the other relatives and followed in the direction of one of the emptied bedrooms to rest.
Just when she was in a deep sleep a loud voice disturbed her, she heard," How are we supposed to provide for her when we barely making ends meet? Can't you just have asked her about the father one more time? Dear, business has been terrible, and it'll be hard to take care for her and a baby."
"What are we supposed to do? We can't just abandon our youngest daughter!"
"Weren't you the one that initiated to disowned her?"
Choon Hee couldn't bear to listen to her parents arguing for another second. She slid the door open and clenched the corner of the handle. She was furious and looked at them in front of her there's was a throbbing pain in her heart. Her skin was pale
"What more do you want to know? His name? -- Kim Tae Hyun." She saw the greed in her parents' eyes sparkling with delight. It's the complete opposite reactions that she expected.
"The CEO of The Kwak Corporation of the largest building in the world and the third most expensive. A family business that exceeded tenth generation?" asked her mother.
Choon Hee formally rejected their intentions.
Recently, his wife died.
Even her parents had morals.
"You're no better than that shameless best friend of yours! Tell me that it isn't true. We did not raise you to become some man mistress—You made your bed and now you going have to sleep in it."
It's not like I wanted to love him or anything—I just wanted him to be involved into the children's lives.
Any excused she had for her actions her parents weren't having it. She sat there and were scolded by them all night long.

The next day.
Choon Hee sign applications for local convenience stores and during the day she'll help out at the market then at night with the animals.
It's the least I could do since I'm staying here.
Who would hire a pregnant woman that's so close near term? I don't have a nursey or a single item for the twins let alone for one child. The offering for $100,000 sounding very tempting now. How foolish of me to reject such an offer. I'm going to go broke trying to raise these children as a single parent.
On her way to the convenient store for an interview she heard a painful cry from a boy. There's was a crowd of people, and nobody was willing to assist.
"Mommy." He yelled with tears in his eyes and snot dripping from his nose
"Hello there! How about we find your mommy." She says kindly and walked down the street then saw a young mother searching for son desperately trying to keep it together.
The boy let go of her hand and ran towards his mother in tears.
" Mommy." He cried.
" Hangel."
She knees down and opened her arms then held son into a tight embraced, her eyes were red from crying.
"How could I ever repay you miss?" She asked and was grateful for her.

Somewhere in S city.
In Kim Residence
"Goodbye." A tall handsome man waved at his immediate family members and watched the black car drive on the road to take them back to the airport.
He revealed the sonography photo from his pocket and stare at the images. He hesitated to shred them," What would Choon Hee lie? Could she be after my money, but she didn't seem to care about it. What is she gaining from this?"
He decided to drive to her house and after hours of observing he knocked on the door.
Instead of Choon Hee answering the door disappointment hit him in the face to see an unfamiliar woman.
"Who are you looking for? Sung Min is away at the moment."
"Is Choon Hee home? "
Who is this handsome man? And what does he want with that lowly wench?
"She's away but how about I show you a good time?" She asked seductively and whispered into his ear.
"…"
"Please refrain from touching me." He narrowed his eyes viciously.
Where did you go, Choon Hee? It's like you disappeared from the face of the earth!
In the evening and two hours before Assistant Jimin entered.
A private investigator told him the whereabouts of Choon Hee location. The man handed a document folder of a pregnant woman 24-year-old pregnant woman that reach the description. Visiting her parents in the city Segu at the farm. The images show her working part-time at the market and at another unknown location then her moving into an apartment. He was concerned about the district and the safety of her and the children.
"Is she seeing anyone? Find out!"
To see if there's any other possibilities of someone else being the father.
" Yes, sir."
The private investigator bowed his head and dismissed himself. As he walked out
As he walked out the door, he passed Assistant Jimin.
"Who was that young master." Assistant Jimin asked.
As expected, Assistant Jimin senses are very sharp and cautious of his surroundings. If the slightest thing is out of place, it will be reported to the head of the household. Another visit from the family will not end as pleasant as it did this time.
I mustn't make any mistake.
"Just another client." He said casually and read through the document.
He did not find it very enjoyable lying to someone close and he respected for many years. Even though, what he is doing was harmless.
Father would not sit still if he found out.
He feared his father and just the very thought send a chill down his spine.
Later that night her received information.
Kang Choon Hee is single and living alone there's isn't any activity of any other person
What am I doing? Am I'm really letting my family brainwash me and let my children before fatherless?
He stood up from his chair and took his jacket then headed out from the door.
