MEANWHILE.
Asher went to his home straight from the store and caught his daughter playing with dolls with his mom.
"Hi, baby." He walked in with them smiling.
"Hi, Daddy! Lola and I are playing with dolls that you bought last week. This is so pretty. Thank you, Daddy." She hugged him tightly and his mom signals to him that she is going to help fix the table for lunch.
"Let's eat baby. I am going to buy you some more if you continue to be a good girl and let's go to the amusement park this Monday, after your class. Okay?" He kissed her forehead and led her to the table.
After they had their lunch, Lily went to her room leaving Asher and his mother alone in the dining room.
"So, what did you think to do? Huh?" Ellen asked, making Asher chuckle.
"You might already know from my secretary. Isn't he the one who passes you every information of mine?" Asher asked.
"Asher… I want you to be happy too. It's just not only about Lily." Ellen exclaimed.
"I know… But… Do you think I can ever be… after whatever she had done with me?" Asher asked as he sighed.
"But, not everyone is the same… There are better girls too!" Ellen answered.
"Mom, I don't want to hear anything about this anymore. I just want someone beside me for my daughter. I just need her Custody so she can be with me forever! And for that, I am going to get married. That's it! Hope you understand and Don't talk about this again." Asher replied and walked away from there leaving her alone to Lily's room.
Asher spent all day playing in her room and they both just dozed off there in her room and he didn't even realise that he had to go to the party until his mom woke them up.
"You both… wake up… It's already 7:30 pm." Ellen yelled and Asher woke up suddenly as he cursed.
"Fuck… What?" Asher yelled.
"Language! Your daughter is here." Ellen yelled back making Asher roll his eyes.
"The venue is already far from home and I have to be there at 8 pm." Asher said as he walked out of the room and Ellen just sighed while she shook her head at her son.
Asher is sure that he'll be late but they all will be fine with it.
Asher went to his room and put on the tuxedo that his secretary already prepared for him. He quickly washed himself and wore it. He quickly got ready and looked at himself in the mirror, impressed by how handsome he looked.
He walked out of his room and downstairs and quickly walked out, hopped in his car. He started the engine and drove off not even caring to tell his mother that he was leaving. He just left a text on her phone thinking his mother will check out the text later and know that he had left their mansion already and went to Ivy's mansion.
As he entered their mansion, He was not surprised by how many guests and socialites went. He gave his car keys to the valet and went inside.
Asher knew most of the people attending and He greeted them with a slight bow. He was trying to find Ivy in the crowd but He saw himself walking towards a portrait of her.
No adjective can describe how pretty she is in the portrait. With her white dress and wavy hair, He can really say that her parents are lucky to have her but no one's really perfect. If she'll ever accept the offer, she will be forever tainted to him as a gold digger. There are so many more options to save the company. Not just by having an arranged marriage to someone.
While thinking of these thoughts he hears a bit of conversation at the end of the hallway. He saw Mr and Mrs. Anilsky hugs Ivy as he thought that they already dropped the big news. He walked there hoping to ease some of the tension.
"Good evening, Mr. and Mrs. Anilsky." Asher greeted respectfully.
Ivy looked up as she heard a familiar voice and saw Asher… The guy who is the father of her student... Lily… Lily White.
"What the heck are you doing here?" Ivy asked rudely as she has no idea why he is even here in their party. Asher Chuckled and Mr and Mrs. Anilsky looked at each other with a frowny face.
"Ivy…" Bella called and was about to say something when Asher cut her off in mid sentence.
"I assume that you've already told your daughter that we are getting married." Asher said firmly with a smirk while looking at Ivy like he was checking her out and her outfit.
He saw her looking fantastic tonight. However, He can see sadness and pain in her eyes. Deciding and maybe contemplating what she should really do.
"Am… am I really going to marry him?" Ivy asked with tears in her eyes and her parents nodded their heads in yes.
Ivy feels conscious and shocked at the same time with whatever she had heard. She had no idea what she was feeling right now. He is the guy that her parents had been talking about?
So, what they are talking about is that she is going to marry the father of her student? To that selfish Guy? Could things get any worse?
"I want to be alone for now," Ivy said to them, stormed out leaving them all alone, and went to their garden.
Ivy's home garden has always been her comfort place. It gives her peace and assurance that everything will be fine. As she sat on one of the benches, she started to flashback things. From her first day of teaching, the first set of kindergarten students she helped graduated. The first time she received a gift from one of her students and everything.
She poured her heart into crying knowing that she can't do anything but save her dad's company, their company. This is the least she can do for them. They have sacrificed a lot and maybe it is her time to sacrifice now. Who knows maybe her marriage will work out, and even if it won't at least she can be the mom of Lily now?
She is still indecisive with everything, even with her decision. She needs more time to think of it. She is entering a battlefield and not a happy marriage. She needs to be strong and courageous to face this all and she is not yet ready for that.
"Everything will be alright, it will be," she said trying to calm herself down.
