Asher turned off the showed and grabbed a towel. He wrapped it around his waist as he walked out of the restroom.
He walked into his walk in closet and took out his night pant and t-shirt. He wore it and dried his hair.
He throws the towel on the bed and walked out to the balcony. He sat down on the couch as he looked at the dark sky and eventually, his eyes started to close. As he was about to doze off, a voice made him suddenly open his eyes and look at the person of the voice.
"Asher." Becky called making him open his eyes and look at her.
"Mom." Asher called as he looked at her and saw a plate in his hands.
"You haven't slept yet?" Asher asked.
"How can I sleep peacefully when my son still didn't had his dinner?" Becky asked.
"Mom, I don't have any appetite." Asher answered and Becky walked towards him.
She sat down in front of him on the couch and kept the plate on the table.
"Have it." Becky said.
"Mom, I already said, I don't have any appetite." Asher replied and Becky smiled at him.
"Have it, Asher." Becky said sternly making him sigh.
"I really don't..." Becky cut off Asher in mid sentence.
"Just have it. For your daughter... We both had worked hard to make this dinner. She helped me in the kitchen. She was excited to feed you but you know Sophia had ruined the moment." Becky said making Asher look up at her.
"Lily helped you in the kitchen?" Asher asked with a smile and Becky smiled as she nodded her head in yes.
"Yes. She did. She doesn't at all like to help in the kitchen but this time, she was excited to help me." Becky answered and Asher smiled as he took the plate from the table and started to have his dinner.
"Is it tasty?" Becky asked and Asher nodded his head in yes with a smile.
"It is." Asher answered as he continued to have his dinner.
"Did you have your dinner?" Asher asked.
"We had it." Becky Answered and Asher nodded his head.
"When is Dad coming back?" Asher asked.
"Tomorrow." Becky answered.
"Is his friend alright now?" Asher asked.
"Yes. He is. He was really worried if anything would happen to his friend. But, he is still in the hospital and getting treated. Doctors said, he needs rest!" Becky answered and Asher nodded his head in yes.
Becky looked at Asher with a smile and waited until he is done with his dinner and kept the plate away on the table.
"So, did you say to Lily about you marrying Ivy?" Becky asked and Asher nodded his head.
"Yes. I just did. I thought, you had said her already." Asher answered.
"No. I wanted you to suprise her since she like... Umm... Loves Lily." Becky replied making Asher frown at her.
"You know... We have bumped into Ivy today in the grocery store." Becky said and Asher raised his eyebrows at her.
"She is sweet." Becky said and Asher Chuckled.
"Sweet?" Asher asked.
"Yes." Becky Answered.
"Only if you know, what kind of a person she is." Asher replied.
"What do you mean? She is kind, beautiful, Sweet and well-mannered and a respectable person. I am really happy that you choosed her to be your wife, Asher." Becky said and Asher immediately got up from the couch and walked a little away from her.
She got up from her couch and followed Asher and stood behind him.
"Mom, I want to make one thing clear with you... Ivy. I only choosed her to become Lily's mother. I want her to take care of her and love her as a mother but I didn't choose her to be my wife." Asher replied making Becky frown.
"What? What do you mean by you didn't choose her to be your wife, Asher? You didn't like her?" Becky asked.
"It doesn't matter if I like her or not. It just, I want my daughter to be with me and only me and for that, I just need her help to have my daughter's Custody for myself. I can never like her. She will never be my wife. I am actually more afraid that she will look at my daughter as a mother or not." Asher said as he sighed.
"She will, Asher. Trust me. She will." Becky replied.
"How can you just say that easily? You don't even know her well." Asher said.
"We just need a few minutes to know a person and I have spent that few minutes today with Ivy and I felt she is amazing. I was against you marrying with Sophia but today, I am not against you marrying Ivy because I saw the good nature in Ivy today. I have seen the motherhood inside Ivy which doesn't come from giving birth to a child but you just have to feel it." Becky replied.
"And Ivy proved that you don't have to give birth to a child to love her but you just have to feel it. I have seen love in her eyes for Lily today and you know, how much I was happy to see someone caring about Lily other than us. You can trust her with Lily. The way, Lily calls her mom makes my heart melt. Think once, If Ivy doesn't care about Lily then why would Lily, a small little girl would call someone who she has no idea a mom?" Becky asked and Asher frowned.
"Yeah, maybe, Ivy doesn't know why Lily has started to call her mom... But she still, took your daughter close to her and started loving her." Becky said.
"I don't know why you don't trust her but just think, if she wants then she can just say it on Lily's face that, she has no right to call her mom but she didn't... She said, yes without hurting a little girl's heart. Just think, how kind-hearted she is." Becky said making Asher sigh.
