As Glen was getting eaten by the zombies alive, two figures were watching the scene from afar.
"Teacher, was letting him die really the right thing to do?" asked one of the figures as she watched this brutal display with a conflicted face.
"We had to make sure he died, because of this nameless extra the storyline has already diverged too much! You know as well as I do what would happen to our world if we let the storyline get damaged any further. Even if he was Saint Maria herself, we still would have to kill him. At least we stopped him before he changed any essential plot points. Just get ready to save the protagonist before anything happens to him"
"Still, maybe we could have found another way..."
"If you don't get your thoughts in order, know that I will be reporting to our superiors about how you are not suited for this job, no matter how good your grades were in the academy"
The first figure just bit her lips in frustration and watched the situation unfold in silence.
If Glen was here, he would have recognized the two figures. They were Lilia and Ms Wright.
As they were getting ready to move and save Ezekiel from Wesley's hands, the situation in front of them suddenly changed due to an explosion!
*KA-BOOM*
In the middle of the corpses of the zombies stood Glen, perfectly fine without so much as a scratch on him. He tore away the eye patch on his face, revealing his new pair of crimson eyes.
"How!? How is he still alive? There was not such a plotline in the storyline!" Ms Wright couldn't believe the situation that was unfolding between her eyes.
"Did he become a vampire?" Lilia asked, similarly taken back by the situation.
"Impossible! The Zombie Apocalypse isn't over yet, one can not become a full-fledged vampire unless..."
"Unless what?"
"Unless they become a Paragon of Sin but those are major villains! The Will of the world wouldn't allow such major deviations!" Ms Wright looked frantic by the sudden development that was beyond her understanding and she was nervously chewing her nails.
"Isn't that a good thing? I mean he is a good person and has a close relationship with the protagonist so maybe he will join him in his crusade? There are such characters, right? That turns to the side of good despite their monstrous nature? What was it called again? Dark Heroes?"
"You don't understand! A major position like a Paragon of Sin can only belong to the forces of good if they are the protagonist! We have to find a way to kill him as soon as possible, otherwise, this world will be doomed along with ours..."

Seeing Glen rise from the ashes just like a phoenix, Wesley was about to go mad from frustration.
"HOW ARE YOU STILL ALIVE!? Kill him!" Wesley ordered the zombies to attack Glen once more but deep in his subconscious, he knew that this was futile. He could already feel that they were the same kind which drove him mad even more. Why was it that only good things happened to Glen? Being chosen was the best thing that happened to him and now Glen was about to take that away from him!
Glen scoffed at Wesley's desperate attempt and just rose his right hand just like him, revealing his own tattoo. Seeing the crimson raven that was spreading its wings the zombies instantly stopped on their tracks.
Now that he had become the patriarch of Tremere clan, he could feel a connection on an intrinsic level with them. They could never hurt him. Their sole purpose in existence was to serve him!
[Path of Mercury: Unum]
A red magic circle adorned with countless runes appeared under Glen's feet and in the next second, he was standing in front of an unsuspecting gang member.
*Slash*
With a rise of his sharp claws, he severed the man's arm that was holding the annoying torch.
*Bite*
The sweet taste of blood filled Glen's mouth. It was like euphoria. He drank the man's blood till he turned into a mummy.
*BA-DUMP*
He felt never more alive in his life before!
*BA-DUMP* *BA-DUMP*
Throwing the now-empty husk to the ground, Glen scoured his surroundings. Seeing his unfeeling, bloodthirsty look the man unconsciously took a step back.
He wanted to drink more blood.
Just one pesky bug was not even enough to fill his stomach. This was not nearly enough to satisfy him. He wanted to drink more.
MORE!
As Glen's body had rejuvenated and reconstructed itself, he had spent too much energy during the process. As a result feral beast inside of him took over, instinctively searching for blood to replenish the spent vitae.
[Dementation: Voice of Madness]
While Glen got ready to teleport to another victim, visages of his dead parents appeared in front of his eyes haunting him.
That was the help needed to jolt Glen awake from his hunger.
These low-level illusions were not enough to disturb his will, among patriarchs like themselves it could only be counted as light greetings.
Glen turned towards Wesley who used his haemovoria on him in panic. It was just a measly level two.
Vampires had magical abilities known as haemovoria. Basically, they were only unique abilities and not magic in the truest sense, unlike his blood magic.
Every clan could use a couple of haemovorias and they each had their own specializations. The highest level a haemovoria could go up to was level ten and only the clans specialized in them could reach that level. To top it off, only the patriarch of the said clan could use the level ten version. The highest others could reach was only level nine.
Of course, there was an exception to everything which was his Tremere clan. The highest level of blood magic he could cast was only... level five.
As for the reason, well... it was because Eliza was too scatter-brained and she had never researched magic beyond level five. Before she could get started on level six spells something new would always pique her attention and she would start researching in that direction creating new paths for blood magic.
At least he could make up the difference with a variety of magic that he could use.

Watching the standoff between Wesley and Glen the mysterious man couldn't be any happier. His experiment was finally paying off!
He had to watch the results first hand to confirm if his conjecture was right and whether he could replicate it or not?
