Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 On My Way

After looking over his system, Yuan saw that he had another name next to his. "Why does it say Erios?"

"It is your new name now. As I've said your entire persona has changed. You must now go through as this new figure. Once you get down there you will be on your own. I have helped as much as I can. The rest is up to you."

While Erios continued to look over his system, Elijah prepared a reincarnation circle. He was actually quite worried but hoped that with his blessing Erios would be able to pull it off. Dark gods are separated by their own tiers. If the mortals gave rise to possibly a Tier 3, things would get bad really fast.

Once he was finished, he told Erios to step into the circle. "I will use your system to make contact to get updates. But should you die, I cannot revive you again. You'll be placed near a kingdom called Nevermore. Good luck."

Erios nodded and stepped into the circle. He was engulfed by light and turned into particles. As it happened, three shadow like figures appeared in Elijah's room. Elijah looked annoyed as he looked towards them a hint of disdain in his eyes. "Have the Eaters become so bold as to enter the overseer chambers without being summoned."

The leader glided up. Seeming not to care about Elijah's status. It spoke in a hissing sound as if air was constantly escaping. "We sensed an unnatural life force here. Despite who you are Overseer, you must follow the celestial orderrrr as do we all."

Elijah scoffed and released a little of his pressure. The lower two retreated away but The leader stood its ground although it was extremely hard to maintain its forms integrity. This actually surprised Elijah as the Eaters were left over remnants of the Dark gods. But the True One reformed them as unbiased entities that could enforce celestial order. The fact the leader withstood the pressure only confirmed Elijah's suspicion that things were worse than they seemed.

"As you can see there's no unnatural life forces here you may leave before I become even more annoyed." The two lowers disappeared and as the leader started to go away it stopped and turned. "Should we find out you've broken any of the Celestial orders, You will face judgement" Then the Eater disappeared.

*OUTSKIRTS OF NEVERMORE*

Erios opened his eyes and realized he was in a jungle like area. Consider the huge trees that seemed to touch the sky and the large species of plants, he assumed he must be in the forest known as Gaias Garden. Gaias Garden was known to those in the Northern continent due to the fact it surrounded the kingdom of Nevermore but also due to the large quantities of mana that could be found there.

Although beautiful, it was said to only have one known safe path through. This path had been created years ago by an adventurers party and was almost wiped out in the process.

Large mana quantities meant the vegetation grew to enormous sizes but it also meant that the beasts that lived there did as well. In his past life, he heard stories of party members getting snatched off the trails. It became so bad that Silver and Gold Ranked adventurers had to start patrolling the path periodically.

Erios looked at the Sun and figured it must've been early morning. He had a few steps. First, he had to get out of the forest. Although he received Elijah's blessing he wasn't sure exactly how his magic worked and he didn't want to run into a beast without being capable. Second, he had to get ranked as an Adventurer to start his investigation. He knew the royals were involved somehow but he didn't know to what extent. Getting ranked would give him access and he won't have as a commoner. He was only able to get so close before he seemed suspicious then he was killed. He'll be more cautious this time around.

As he started to walk he heard a loud screech and trees snapping in the distance. He instantly got on guard then wondered 'wait ..how the hell did I know what a guard was?' He remembered Elijah mentioned he would be imprinted with various combat skills so he'd be capable. His body must already have the muscle memory ingrained in it.

As the beast got closer he felt a bit nervous but excited. He wasn't a fighter in his old life nor adventurer. Now he could live like the other side did. Then it appeared.
