Erios was standing there waiting for something to happen but nothing did. He tried to remember what she said, mana capacity, mana nature and combat prowess. If the test is going in that order maybe he had to release his mana. The issue was if that was indeed how the test worked, should he fully release his mana? He needed to stay low and becoming a mana freak wasn't the best way.
He decided with only releasing enough to grant him free travel but not enough to stand out. He closed his eyes and slowly started to release his mana into the room. The lights started to flicker and started to get brighter. Once it got to a medium level he stopped and figured that was enough. Layla watched from outside and was shocked. Although Erios was holding back quite a bit, he still managed to produce an output similar to what a Top Tier Silver Ranked would produce. He actually was able to produce more than Layla currently could which peaked her interest.
After the first test, Erios wasn't aware how it was all graded. A long, metal stand with an orb up top suddenly appeared in the middle of the room. Erios figured it was to test his mana's nature. He slowly walked up and wondered if it worked similar to the first test. He then slowly released his mana but made sure to add only fire energy into it.
This was yet another attempt to fly under the radar. But again what Erios didn't know was nah his mana being a gift from a Divine entity was extremely pure. As he released it into the Orb it slowly started to crack. Once he saw this happen he immediately stopped.
Layla seeing this was on the edge of her seat. She had never seen such pure fire mana. The system read it to be on the same level as origin magic. She knew this was impossible because that would insinuate Erios created Fire magic himself. She now was even more curious as a million things went through her mind. How had no one discovered such a talent? It was almost as if he appeared out of thin air!
Back in the testing room, Erios waited for the final phase to begin. He figured it was best if he toned down his abilities even more considering what happened with the orb. Suddenly he heard an announcement.
THE THIRD PHASE WILL NOW BEGIN
Erios prepared as he has never taken this test so he didn't know what was coming out. The lights glimmered multiple times and even shut out completely as Erios quickly got on guard. When they came back on there was now a small, white, furry creature standing there with an nonchalant expression. Erios was utterly confused. He knew the creature. It was a cat. The only different was that this cat had 2 small red horns on top of its head.
He tilted his head sideways trying to figure out if Layla had messed with the test to make a fool of him. Prank the newbie adventurer by making him go all out against a house pet to completely embarrass him? He wouldn't fall for it.
As he stared at the cat, it started to walk towards him. Erios wasn't frightened as he felt no ill intention from it. He wondered if this truly was a monster summoned based on his results. The cat leisurely walked across the floor with a nonchalant stride.
After is came within a few feet of Erios the cat actually stopped walking and sat down. Erios figured maybe he had to attack to get the test started. But could he really do it? The damn cat wasn't even attacking him.
Then the cat laid down and started to roll around on the floor. Erios was dumbfounded.
'What in the world is going on!'
'First the test goes nothing as planned! Now the final test doesn't even make sense!' Erios stood there arguing with his thoughts as the Cat laid upside staring at Erios.
'Screw this'
Erios decided it was time for action!
