She doesn't remember. She doesn't really remember anything that happened afterwards. Just flashes. Like a flash of lightning. She doesn't remember how she got there. Or why she was there. But she remembers what she was told. That she was to win that game. That's right...she had won the game. That's right. She killed everyone. That was her victory. That was her prize. Her victory. It's true...isn't it?
"Ria! Wake up!" She hears Tadashi scream out to her as she's jolted back to reality.
She snaps her eyes open, focusing on him. "Hiroto..?"
He seems to notice her eyes focusing on him and he relaxes somewhat. "Yes," he responds, smiling slightly at her as he continues. "It's me. It's your boyfriend." He smiles widely at her, almost mockingly.
She blinks slowly in confusion before frowning lightly. "My boyfriend?"
He laughs lightly as he nods at her. "Yup. Your boyfriend. The person who was supposed to be with you this whole time, not me."
Her confusion grows and she furrows her eyebrows even further. "How do we get past these walls?" She asks. "These walls must be really thick, if you'able to break through them."
He laughs loudly and he shakes his head, shaking his arm slightly. "Nope," he says. "Not thick enough. Too weak. You'd need to go through them with some sort of force."
She frowns slightly. "With force? How?"
He shrugs at her. "There's nothing wrong with strength, Ria. You know that. Strength's strong." He smirks at her. "Stronger than my own."
She scoffs at him playfully. "Sure, sure. Whatever you say."
He chuckles at her playfully before sitting up straight. "Now, let's go and wake up the others. We'll make a plan while we wait for them to wake up. How's that sound?"
Ria frowns lightly as she nods in agreement. He nods at her before turning around and reaching out his hand towards her. She takes his hand without hesitation before pulling herself up. He helps her up, grinning widely at her before walking out of the room and down the hallway. Once he reaches the end of the hall, he stops before turning back and looking down at her, tilting his head to the side. "So, Ria," he starts. "Where did you hear my voice before?"
She blinks at him before shrugging. "don't remember."
He nods at her in understanding. "I guess it was in your dreams then. I'm just glad it wasn't a nightmare."
She nods at him before sighing softly. "Yeah."
They stand silently for a moment before Tadashi breaks the silence. "So, how long are you staying here, anyway?"
She looks away slightly. "Probably until I decide to leave. My parents aren't exactly keen on letting me go anywhere, especially since I've gotten so close to the end of my training."
He nods at her before grabbing onto her arm, dragging her along with him. "You should probably get changed then. We're having breakfast downstairs soon. We have to go down and eat before we leave."
Ria sighs softly in response, nodding as she lets him drag her to their bedroom. He releases her arm and heads back towards the doorway before pausing and looking back at her. "Oh! By the way, I think my dad might be in the kitchen. If he is, he might try to get you outta bed. Don't worry, though, he wouldn't dare touch ya'."
He grins happily at her before turning around and heading back into the living room area of the apartment. She follows after him, walking slowly as she walks, not knowing what to expect. "I don't know. I think I heard it earlier, but I can't really remember."
His eyes widen slightly and he sighs deeply, placing his hand on her forehead. "You're burning up."
She frowns lightly. "Yeah, I'm getting really hot."
He pulls his hand away and he begins to chuckle. "Why do you always have such a high temperature?" he asks her amused.
She rolls her eyes at him. "Maybe because I've been running for days. Of course I have high temperatures!"
He laughs slightly as he grabs her hand before leading her further down the hallway. "What makes you think I haven't?"
She rolls her eyes. "Shut up." She grumbles under her breath, crossing her arms over her chest.
They walk quietly, hand in hand, until finally stopping. He places his free hand over hers and he begins to shake his head. "Don't touch the wall. Just look for the switch. You know the drill."
Ria nods her head at him as she removes her hand from his and begins to search for the switch that he mentioned. After about five minutes, she finds it and she presses the button, causing the lights in the hallway to turn off completely, leaving them in total darkness. She lets out a small gasp as she feels something hard hit her cheek.
