Chapter 30 - Chapter 29

"So, how did the meeting with your parents go?" I asked as Valeria walked into the room, followed closely by Ororo; who looked rather tired.

"It was a fruitful journey, my lord." Still weird to hear the arguably smartest being on the planet calling me 'lord'. "I believe that I should be able to convince my mother of the greatness of your light in about seven more visits, as long as each of them have somewhere between one to two weeks between them!" She puffed her chest out with pride and I turned to Ororo.

"Do I even want to know?"

"No, no you don't." The weather manipulating mutant said with a sigh as she walked towards me and threw herself face first into the couch beside me. Then she started to tell me about it anyway.

"Your little 'follower' spent almost the whole meeting trying to convince Susan to become a member of your cult."

"It's not actually my cult. It's more like a cult that is centered around me."

"Don't care, you are it's cause and therefore the cause of this." Wow, she really was tired. Wasn't even trying to pretend to be the elegant goddess of weather she once had been worshipped as.

Valeria on the other hand seemed to have no care for the fact that she had turned an Omega level mutant into a couch potato out of sheer stress of dealing with her.

"I guess I might as well take her off of your hands then." I said with a sigh as I got up from my seat with both Ororo, Valeria and Laura looking at me. "There is something I need to do, she should be helpful."

"You have a mission?" Ororo asked as she took a sitting position instead of the laying down position she had been in, all the while ignoring Valeria who looked like she had been told that she won the lottery.

"No, not a mission. But something that's better taken care of now rather than later." I said with a sigh and walked out of the room, Laura and Valeria following after me. A few minutes later, I was face to face with the last person I needed before my errand.

"Come on Betty, we're going on a road trip." It was about time I actually started to look for her ex husband, I kind of did promise to do that after all.

"She's still not saying anything?" Nick Fury asked as he looked at the chained form of one Kimura from behind glass.

"She's a tough nut to crack." Natasha said with a sigh. "We managed to get a profile of her personality but haven't been able to make her talk about her organization or their goals."

"And what about her personality?" He asked with a raised eyebrow and a frown appeared on Natasha's face.

"Disappointing. When you leave her powers and her will to not say anything out, she isn't any different than most scum you would find in a racist gang in any part of the world. It's all about trying to make herself feel powerful, most of the time by tormenting those who can't fight back. I would be surprised if she actually believed in the values of whatever organization this Facility is supposed to be, she's with them just for a chance to hurt people."

"With all of that you'd expect her to sell them out immediately."

"She's smart enough to know that giving out information might bite her in the ass with other similar organizations if it gets out. No one wants to work with rats after all." The former Russian spy said before scoffing. "Though it might also have something to do with the fact that she seems to believe that she can escape." Which she might be able to do with her powers if they let their guard down. Being invulnerable would allow her to ignore most of their weapons.

"Make sure that anyone who goes in there stays far enough, at least further than her arms can reach, and tell them to carry shock based weapons. Be ready to tease her till she loses her bladder if she tries to get smart." But not all of their weapons. "I'm giving you two more days Natasha, after that we'll stop using the nice methods."

"Has Kimura been located?"

"Not yet sir. We know that she's in SHIELD custody but we have not been able to ascertain which base she's being held captive."

"Tell your team that they have only another week. After that I'll be... decreasing the number of people you have for each day you keep failing me." The man sitting on the throne declared before pulling out a syringe from a compartment beside the throne. "This was designed to... enhance the abilities of Kimura in order to make her into a truly unkillable soldier. But I believe that it will help you much in this mission too." And then threw it at the man kneeling before him, who caught it in air.

"Also, take the Strucker twins with you. They might as well be useful at least once in every blue moon." The man on the throne chuckled before leaning down with a glare on his face. "Do not fail us, agent Rollins."

"Your will shall be made into reality, baron Zemo."
