"Can you please repeat that Charles?" Susan said with a twitching eyebrow as she tried to comprehend the words that had gotten out of the mouth of the telepath.
"Your daughter and a friend of her's came from the future and she is currently eating from my fridge."
"I see." Susan took a deep breath and then let it out. Then she repeated this action three more times. "Charles, I hope that you realize that if this is some sort of prank then I will create a forcefield inside your lungs and watch you struggle for air while having snacks from your fridge." She declared and that was the moment Johnny walked into the room, right before walking out as he tried to pretend that he heard nothing.
"I understand that my words might be hard to believe Susan, but I assure you that I am just as confused as you must be hearing them."
"I kinda doubt that."
"What I'm trying to say is that I will be accompanying her to the Baxter Building in a few hours so that you two can meet." The telepath said with a sigh and Susan simply raised one of her eyebrows, despite knowing that her conversation partner could not see it.
"And to have Reed check up on anything he can in order to verify if she's telling the truth or not."
"...yes."
"Just bring Ororo with you." Susan finally said with a sigh and put the phone down as she tried to think about what she just had been told.
A daughter... from the future. Even among the many ridiculous things she had to deal with as a member of the Fantastic Four, including getting proposed by a fish man, this was probably the most ridiculous. And that was simply thinking about the social effects, rather than the numerous laws of physics that the existence of time travel broke. At least Reed would be interested for that.
"So… is it safe to come in?" She heard Johnny's voice from the door but Susan simply walked up to one of the many couches in the room and dropped face first into it. The Susan of few hours into the future could deal with those problems.
"Is that a no or yes?

"Well, seems like Xavier's kids had a lot of fun in this place." Clint Barton, code name Hawkeye, said with a whistle as he gazed at the destroyed former Hydra base.
He still thought that Fury should have sent them in earlier but seeing these idiots destroyed by others did have its own appeal. Kind of like being in a group project and the smart kid finishing the whole project before they could even start planning, weird but acceptable.
"You're late." And of course his partner for the mission didn't care about such things at all. Why would she? She was the goddamn Black Widow after all.
"I literally got the assignment about ten minutes ago. Not all of us are former Russian spies that can appear in their mission sites before the missions are even given."
"Sounds like a performance issue to me." Knowing that there was no way he would win the argument, as it had been proven after many tries in the past, Clint decided to do the mature thing and blew a raspberry at the redhead's direction.
After that they kept searching throughout the hideout and Clint had to admit that the X-Men had done a pretty good job. Sure, most of the people were dead and there was a rather huge blood area with some sort of spaceship like thing on top that made the archer have a rough idea what happened. But other than that, there was nothing exactly alarming.
"Hawkeye, you might want to see this." And then universe decided to prove him wrong through Black Widow, who was pointing at the rear of a woman stuck in a wall.
"Is she alive?"
"I think so, there is no blood leaking out of her little head space." Hah, 'head space', that was funny. "Which is rather weird when you consider the fact that the amount of force needed to force someone into a wall like this is far bigger than the force needed to have her head pop like a grape."
"Thank you for that immensely disturbing image." Clint said with a shudder, even after all these years working for SHIELD; he still couldn't hold a candle to Natasha's attitude towards gruesome things. "You think she's alive because of one of Xavier's kids weird mumbo jumbo or something that she has?"
"Something she has. The cracks on the wall show that putting her in here was an act of pure brute force and the chances of a mutant having both super strength necessary to pull this off and some sort of no killing power is unlikely."
"Do we have any idea who she is?" He asked and Natasha looked at him like he was a particularly dim witted child who just told her that he was very smart and athletic cause his mama said so.
"You might be surprised Barton, but I can't identify people simply by looking at their rear end." Oh he had the perfect answer to that.
"Sounds like a performance issue to me." He definitely deserve that pebble hitting him in the head and many other unpleasant things that would no doubt be coming his way in the near time but damn if it wasn't worth it.
