Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 - Ka'han

"That Goddamn Bitch!" the man who looked no more than 25 yelled "She did it again". Ka'han, who's sitting across from him, sipped his cappa as he asked "What is it?". "Remember that Blonde chick? She's gone and done it again." He replied, as eyed a girl who just walked past him "She going to be a problem if we don't take care of her now". Ka'han being so official wearing a suit in a place that doesn't match such an attire. His companion's would've been appropriate if it weren't for the Cloak. "Then take care of it, Reve'rez." Ka'han said with a roguish grin. Reve'rez nodded and disappeared into thin air. Ka'han thought Urgh, Vampires and their little tricks. He got up to leave, leaving a very generous tip for the young and kind waiter, and greeted the busy streets of a Tuesday afternoon in the city of Pettah.

He could still hear her voice, her laugh and her joys of seeing him after he had come after war, "Khan, my love" said the woman in her night dress, revealing her most priced parts to her lover, "I've waited months till you arrived, the others aren't as enjoyable as you are" she said with a wink. Ka'han greeted her with a kiss in his bloody clothes, and lifted her off the bed like she was a mere stick, found his way to the bathing chambers and dumped her into the tub, "I JUST WASHED THESE AND DRIED THEM!" The woman shouted with a furious face but forgot all about it when Ka'han took off his trousers and revealed her favourite part of him, "I'm sorry, you were saying?" he said with a smirk.

"The centuries have been kind to you, my liege" a familiar rough but smooth voice brought him back to the land of the living. An average human wouldn't hear a person's whisper in the middle of so much noise but I'm no human. "Kalen," Ka'han said before turning to see the unknown individual standing in middle of a crossing crowd of people. The man smiled as if he heard him whisper, again He's no human, "I can't say the same to you, can i?" eyeing Kalen from toe to head "Evidently, the centuries, or should I decades, have been a pain in your arse." The man was wearing a full tux with the bow untied, it would have been an exquisite sight if it weren't for the stylish sword cuts with blood stains, as if the sword had cut him and he bled and the shirt is now stained with his blood, but there no signs of any cuts on flesh. His face bloodied, no doubt someone else's. "Yes, well, some of us can't very well go into hiding like yourself, can we now?" He told while eyeing his own body. "Oh, hasn't history thought you anything, Kalen? I don't hide." Ka'han said as he turned to leave, rolling his eyes. "Sure." Kalen said, in a sudden moment he appeared right in front of Ka'han, who grabbed him by neck and lifted him off the ground and sped across the street till he found a place to bang him on the wall, " You should know better than to sneak up on me." Ka'han said, While Kalen struggling to breathe and speak. "I'll give you five seconds to explain yourself" he released him and Kalen fell on the floor coughing and choking on his breath as he said "I need…. To talk… that's all… they're after us…" with a dread on his face, he looked up at Ka'han for assistance. "Who" Ka'han asked with a doubtful yet amused face "who can be so undoubtedly stupid yet so incredibly brave?" but the amusement washed away with the next set of words Kalen mentioned. "That of that cannot die, cannot lose anything but its own"

That Of That Cannot Die, Cannot Lose Anything But Its Own, Ka'han wished and hoped he had heard the last of that a long time ago, but some things may never go away. "Are you ready? Or are you going to indulge in another tropical island?" Kalen asked Ka'han, as he stared out the window of the beautiful city and its ocean. "Trust me; this is anything but a tropical island. Though, I do want to visit this place in the south. A beautiful sight, a lighthouse and fort built as one." He smirked and remembered the pictures the lovely room Maid showed him during their one night together. "I really do hope you're kidding. We have to leave; I've compelled us a jet and a pilot. It's waiting for us." Kalen said checking his watch and phone. Ka'han felt a tingle in the air and smiled, "Has it been dealt with?" Kalen looked at him, confused and became alarmed as a voice spoke next to him all of sudden. "You tell. I do. I don't tally" The shadow coming out of the dark, reaching out to a bottle of Sparkling water, "Hello, child" said looking at Kalen. "Reve'rez" Kalen said with a shocked face. Kalen looks 30 but Reve'rez looked like a teenager. "It's been a long time" he said while sipping his champagne, "last I saw you, you were sucking on a nipple that wasn't your mother's" as he winked with a grin. Kalen showed a gesture with one hand to Reve'rez which he ignored and returned to his glass while taking a seat. "Kalen, I'm afraid, I won't be joining you in your plane" Ka'han said as he turned to take a glass off the table to pour himself a Whiskey, "I don't enjoy private airlines" he smiled. Rolling his eyes Kalen said "fine, I'll get you a first class ticket on a 'very' crowded Aeroplane". "Excellent, Thank you" Ka'han as he returned to his view.

Morning broke and he reached out to grab her back to bed, finishing what they started the other night. She kissed him one last time before detaching it and got off the bed. He watched her behind as she walked to the Bathing chambers, his seed still dripping. "Mi' lady, Lord Ze'us requests yours and Lord Ka'han's presence to Break-fast in the dining hall' ' A servant had said after knocking on the door. Ka'han replied "Tell Lord Ze'us that he can shove it up his ar…." But before he could finish the sentence, the woman uttered a spell to shut him up and said "Tell my brother, we'll be right down" shouted to the Servant as she walked across the room to her wardrobe, "I told you not to speak to him like that, he's my brother", Ka'han waited till the servant left to reply, "well, he should know when to and when not to disturb a romantic couple. Besides, he can't very well execute me for bad mouthing him, can he? Cause then he'll have to deal with your bitchy attitude". She turned to shout at him again but got distracted by what was under the covers. She quickly turned towards the wardrobe hoping her lover didn't see her cheeks turn red. Fortunately, Khan saw it, and he got off the bed and poked her private with it. Her insides were getting watery as she whispered, "We should hurry, my siblings aren't known for their patience" and Ka'han slipped it in for the 7th time in 2 days and this is just the dawn of the second.

The plane took off and Ka'han was lucky enough to be seated next to a young Sri Lankan college student who was travelling to Dubai to visit her Uncle. "What stream are you pursuing, if I may ask?" Ka'han asked the girl In the local language, but she replied in English with a perfect accent "Business Studies in the Open University of Nawala'' she said with a smile and an interest to talk with a handsome stranger on the plane, "Your Sinhala is really good, how long did you practice or rehearse that in your head?" with an amused face. "Oh, no, I just practised it a couple times when I saw you coming down the aisle" he replied with a handsome grin, enough to woo her. She laughed as she said, "Well, shame. I wouldn't have spoken if you were a boomer, bad experience with Boomer perverts on planes' ' she said, before accidently glancing downwards to see a part of him up. "Oh, my…" she said as she turned away. Ka'han couldn't hold it anymore, so he compelled her to take of care it in the loo,

10 minutes later, both of them returned to their seats where Ka'han compelled the girl to forget everything that happened in the loo. And after realising she hadn't even asked her name yet, she replied "Shesha ''. Shesha. Why is it always some girl with an S Ka'han thought to himself? He turned towards the night sky and dozed off. "Mi'lord, come on, we've got to get off" Kalen's unpleasant voice waking him up to the bright morning sky. Something's not right, he thought to himself, what's that? As he looked around, sensing danger at every corner. Reve'rez helped him take his bags from his compartment when he saw Reve'rez's bloody hand. "They're here" he whispered. "Fuck." Kalen thought.

Right after boarding off the plane, the three took off in their superhuman speed but were confronted by a group in the woods, men who appeared out of nowhere, from thin air. "Ka'len'Thor, you are being summoned by the High table of the Malmorta. Come peacefully, or we will take you by force" The man in an ancient Egyptian military outfit in Aramaic, "Where is Kaaleb and Ousef?" He asked from one of the men who were behind Ka'han, who he recognized as the group who has been following them since the airport in Colombo. "I took out only one, shit, how did I not know there were more of them? How the hell did YOU not know?" Reve'rez whispered to Ka'han before realising what his plan was.

"I'm sorry, do I know you?" Ka'han asked the man who was next to him at the Airport loo before plunging his hand into the man chest and groping his heart as he asked "Who are you, what do you want, who do you work for and lastly, who else is as equally as stupid as you?" the plunge into the chest alone should've killed a human, but not a vampire. "Please do hurry and answer, respectively in that order, I have a plane to catch" The man had no choice but to tell Ka'han what he wanted to hear to end his Pain, " Kaa…leb.. Ak…sa..ri, we've….been order...ed…to bring… ka'len'Thor to the…. High table… Lord Euphene or…dare…d…us..." "Hmm, thank you" Ka'han said before removing his hand with a heart intact and dropping it on the floor.

"Come peacefully. Resist and we'll show you no mercy" the man who appears to be their leader. "Humor me, how is Euphene these days, last time I saw him, I burned down his entire house to the ground. Of course, nothing personal" Ka'han said in their tongue with an innocent yet deadly smile. The man was confused but soon realised in whose presence he was in and shivered in fear "Lord Ka'han…" he said in English with an Egyptian accent. "Oh, it seems my reputation precedes me" glancing towards Reve'rez and Kalen, and back to the leader, "Go running back to your lord. Tell him that if he doesn't pack his bags and leave Kalen alone, I won't show him the same mercy I did 300 yrs ago. Do you understand?" he warned with true hate and anger in his eyes that the leader who showed no fear to a 100 yr old vampire, trembles at the sight of the Great Ka'han. Just before he was ready to speed away, Ka'han ripped the hearts of his remaining comrades. Each one dropping corpses. The leader tripped as he sped away but regaining balance, he disappeared into the dawn mist. Kalen looked at Ka'han in dread but in respect. And he vowed to himself to never get on his bad side. NO MATTER WHAT.

"Khan, so kind of you to make it" said the man at the head of the table in Royal Dining room, "I was beginning to wonder our yesterday's battle took a bigger toll on you, I'm glad my gut is always wrong", he had black hair that was reaching his shoulders, he was wearing the finest clothes in the entire city, of course, why not, he is practically the king. "Well, the battle was easy as they come, it the aftermath that took a toll on me" said Ka'han with a smirk while eyeing the beautiful woman who took a seat across from him, next to the head. "Gross," said the woman next to the beauty, who was also quite exquisite, "there are children present, you know". Ka'han glanced at the end of the table, "greetings, fellow warrior" he said in a dramatic way to the 10 year old boy, who smiled and returned to his eating. "Perhaps, sweet Freya could use a little break after sitting on you the entire night, Khan" a man who arriving behind Ka'han said " I, for one, could use one after the constant doing on the wall" with a wink to the maids who were serving Lady Freya, they giggled as they went back to kitchen. "Ha'des, brother, please mind your language around Hermes, he is but a child." Said the head. "Forgive me, Ze'us. Besides our younger brother is to be man in 3 yrs. Why not train him now? Aphro has got a new maid for herself, who hasn't been deflowered yet, perhaps we can put her up to the task" he said while sipping his wine. "How do you know if she hasn't been deflowered yet?" asked Aphro, the one seated next to Freya. "Dear sister, do you really want to know?" he asked with a smirk. Aphro, who very well wanted to know how her own maid had left her after she had satisfied her in bed to go to her Brother "yes, I really do want to know!", "well, then it depends, are you wearing a strophium on both your bottom and chest?" And Ka'han caught one of the goblets that came directly to Ha'des's head, one from Aphro and the other from Freya. And the boys laughed in unison.

The laugh of his brothers-in-arms continued till Kalen said "Did you hear that? I think heard something there…" "kid, fall asleep, nothing going to get you for a while, as long as you're with us… so sleep, kid." Reve'rez told, though he doesn't believe it himself. Kalen, not so convinced, fell asleep nonetheless. Ka'han announced he was going out and he left the hotel to walk the streets of Dubai at 1am in the morning. He's been here countless times before, the women were pretty and beautiful, he must've have slept with all of them in the city, how many of them maybe having his bastard children and he wouldn't even know, since he compelled them to forget after it's done. While walking, Ka'han felt a familiar linger, he turned around to see who it was, but no one was there, whoever this is, she's good, he wasn't sure who it was but he was sure it was a girl.
