The man stood in the dark, staring at the girl who was nailed to a tree in the middle of a paddy field. He went closer to examine her, while avoiding the long paddy. The girl wore a white gown, which was stained with her blood and some other fluids. He lifted her head up to see her eyes. The once lit brown eyes were now lifeless. He bowed his head in respect and pulled out the 2 nails arched on each of her hands simultaneously. Before the girl fell, he caught her and laid her on the ground. He noticed the necklace on her neck, a cross surrounded by some wording. The man sighed and took off the girl's necklace. And suddenly, her body changed. Her skin turned into a reddish purple and one horn grew on her forehead. Her hair that was black, turned into golden locks. The man once again opened her eyes, but this time it was a line instead of brown eyes. He once again closed them and stared at the sky. What kind of monsters would do this to a child, he thought. "My liege" , a shadowy figure, slowly appeared behind him. "What is it?" The man asked as he stood up. The figure behind came forward, wearing a cloak to cover his face, "There's news in france" he said. The man pulled back his hair and turned around. Finally revealing his face. A man no more than 30, stood tall and built. A warrior out of his time. A king long away from home. "Let's get to it then" he replied as he, too, shadowed into darkness.
