Chapter 40 - Hell's Locker

"The creed?"

Stuart just continued laughing.

Leon ran to him and lifted Stuart's entire weight with one hand, strangling him by the neck. Stuart started struggling for air as he continued laughing even louder. "What is the creed?" He squeezed his neck harder. And looked directly into his cold blue eye, making him even angrier.

"Leon. Stop!" Miranda ran to Stuart's rescue and pulled Leon's hand away from his neck. Dropping him down on his knees while coughing blood as he struggled for air.

Kyle just watched and said nothing.

"This…is why your kind shouldn't exist. You use your power like this to torture us the weak." Stuart laughed staring at Leon from the ground still coughing blood. He lifted himself up and said, "Magic is meant for those who deserve it…that is what my masters demand and I say that is the way." he was beginning to sound a lot like a mad man.

This alerted both Leon and Miranda, "what do you mean by masters? Is it a full organization, is the elf one of the masters." Leon slammed Stuart with multiple questions

He smiled. "The elf is the third most powerful being in the multiverse, her name is Michelle Terror the daughter of fire in the flesh and queen of Tecar. The home of elves."

Leon and Miranda were aware of Tecar but this was not expected that the most powerful person in that world to be here on Eldriym, meaning there was a bigger picture to this and they hadn't even touched the sketch.

"We are the order of knights that set around a long time ago. We will bring balance and revive what was forgotten. We will revive the great god."

"You mean Oblivion right?" Suddenly Kyle interrupted. Stuart seemed rather not so surprised by Kyle.

"How do you know that name?" Leon was surprised by the boy's conduct.

"Because I and my sister have tampered with the multiverse before , we saw oblivion once when he offered us power in exchange for his freedom from Tecar. But obviously, we rejected his offer. We were in search of the secrets of magic, not power."

"Exactly how much do you know about Oblivion?" Miranda asked staring at him.

"Enough to tell me that he's after the power of chaos, his own daughter's power," he said. Miranda was astonished that a child like this had so much knowledge and skills, was it the fact that he was from Bolton?

Wow…." she said,

"Okay, it seems you to have a hang of this am heading to New York and am going to check out Hayward's house and see if I can find anything." he slowly moved out of the building, released his wings then shot off the ground.

A taxi stopped right in front of a decent terraced house. Kyle walked out from the back seat and paid his fare as it shot off once he was done. He looked at the small white-colored pieces of wood that were working as a tiny fence for a small vegetable garden.

For a villain this is too decent, he thought then waved his hands creating a veil that made him and the house look normal to hide his actions. Then walked through the front door…

The furniture was covered with plastic tape printed on for sale. The old man had no family so this was all going to be sold for community service. Since he had been as announced as a dark magic user by the police.

Kyle waved his hand and green energy, flowed from his fingertips and cleared the illusions that were hiding the magical runes that had been engraved on both the ceiling and walls. They were to keep magical beings out, but he simply moved his hand and neutralized all the spells that were in the room.

Pretty impressive.." A monster appeared in front of him. It had a crocodile face and the body of a human, shirtless and dressed in army green printed trousers.

It was clear that he was no longer in the same house he was in before he neutralized the spell. The air was very hot and for a human, it would have been hard to breathe. But he wasn't human at all.

"Am I in hell? Because am looking for hell's locker."

The monster just chattered and blew out fire from its mouth. Fire that Kyle was tired of seeing, he swung into action by simply vanishing using his super-fast wings and quickly punched its head off with a single blow once he appeared in front of it. He felt disgusted when green ooze which was its blood splattered all over his face.

"Am too strong for you." the look on his face was very dull and colorless and at the same time, his eyes were very cold and scary. He stepped over the dead body and opened the front door that led outside.

Though this wasn't Outside. He heard the distant weeps of wailing humans who were being tortured and explosions that sounded to be not so far away. He was at the entrance of a huge black castle.

He stepped out and the house vanished right behind him. He was in another world that looked very similar to the demonic realm called hell. He crossed his arms and formed a green ball of energy, then fired it at the gigantic black entrance. But it didn't even shake, instead, two stone lions that were on the sides came to life and jumped right in front of him. The first one swinging its claws to cut him down.

He dodged the attack and set himself in the sky. Then released a green ball of energy with more strength that he fired aiming for the lion. Hence, it exploded into tiny bits of rubble. The second lion rather turned less violent and quickly turned back to stone.

The door's entrance then slowly opened. Displaying the interior of a marble floor and expensive furniture. He flew in. But crashed horribly when his wings suddenly disappeared and let him fall with a stomping sound on the floor.

"No magic. Didn't you read the rules before you came to hell's locker." a girl spoke from right behind him. He turned, she looked just about his age, with very dark eyes, black hair, and a doll-like face. She was dressed like those women from the old days in a long black netted gown. Like a wedding dress, but for widows.

Kyle felt embarrassed so he quickly pretended he wasn't suffering from excruciating pain.

"So am in the right place." he said to the girl.

Yes. And I am the gatekeeper." she formed a scythe, that appeared to be made from smoke, "I thought there was no magic." he chuckled, "there is an exception….for us…now state your business here." she pointed the hellish weapon at him.

"Am in search for a spellbook. I don't know how it looks like, but it was delivered by Hayward a mortal man."

The girl stared at him for a second then turned away.

Follow me.

They reached what looked like a volt. But with chains and runes carved on the steel like whatever that was inside shouldn't get out.

"Prof. Hayward told me not to let anyone have the book but him, whether he's dead or alive." she summoned her scythe and waved it in the air creating a circle of black flames right under Kyle's feet. He knew it couldn't be that easy, so he also chose to pull out a few tricks, necromancy, the same magic the girl was using. He started by pulling out a short knife from his pocket then sliced his palm, this was how one could make a pact with a demon. A blood bond. In exchange, he could gain enough strength to fight her.

His shadow expanded as the demon he had summoned appeared with a sword that it slowly placed in his hands. It had one horn and undead face, dressed in ugly and filthy clothes with chains hanging on its wrists.

It then touched his blood and quickly got sucked into his body. Turning his eyes dark.

The girl smirked, at his display of necromancy. and swung her huge scythe aiming for Kyle's head, but he quickly blocked it with his sword. And pushed it away. Then attacked by swinging his fist first but she quickly stepped out of the way and stopped it with one hand. He gave her a soft grin as they stared into each other's eyes. Then she punched him back in the stomach with a much stronger force that sent him onto the ground dragging him to the very end of the room, it was very clear she way stronger than him without his magic.

He pulled his sword, then created a black fireball in the hand that was free. Then released the flames, following a huge explosion once it hit the girl.

The dust settled. And she didn't have a single scratch on her.

"I gotta say, your pretty strong for a nightmare. why don't you become a necromancer like me? Seems you are too strong for normal magic." she said,

"Na I'm kinda not interested in this crap." he teleported right beside her and kicked the scythe out of hand. Then quickly changed his position to land a hard fist right into her jawline moving her a few meters away before she could regain her balance. He had used so much strength that an explosive sound was heard after the impact.
