Javier stood staring at the edge of the ocean. Where the sun still refused to be replaced by the moon. The waves crashed against the boulder where he stood.
This place is not a beautiful beach, with lots of big and steep rocks around it. The waves are not friendly either, hitting and rolling fiercely. As if to warn, whoever dares to enter it, will not come back again.
The wind hit his body. This afternoon the wind and waves seemed to be more violent hitting the beach. His hair looked a little messy in the wind, but he didn't budge. A flash of the shadow of two years ago appeared in his eyes.
Two years ago, Helena was standing on the edge of a precipitous cliff. He stared blankly at the sea in front of her. The waves were even fiercer than today and seemed to hypnotize anyone who saw them, beckoning to dive into it.
"Helena! Don't!" shouted Javier who ran as hard as he could to reach Helena.
Helena turned away, her beautiful face covered in tears. She was wearing her wedding dress which she was supposed to wear in three days at her wedding to Javier. She looks so beautiful like an angel. He smiled sadly at Javier who was running towards her. Her lips said 'I love you ' but Javier couldn't hear it.
Helena, that girl likes the ocean. Loved her more than anything and even gave her life and made the ocean her final resting place.
Calmly, even very calmly Helena threw herself off the cliff. Her body was quickly devoured by the fierce sea.
Javier was silent. His whole body went limp for a moment. He doesn't know what's wrong? Javier and Helena have been in a relationship for five years. Only three days left they will tie the sacred promise. They will be together when happy or sick. But that day, Helena gave her life in the sea she loved so much.
Helena never came back, not even her body was found.
The image of the incident haunted him all this time, in his sleep there was always Helena, saying,
"Help me."
He looked cold, but every moment Javier wanted to come closer. Helena disappeared in the water and she would wake up sweating profusely.
"How long was he there?" said Dion looking at Javier who had been standing for more than an hour on the rock.
"You just don't understand him, let him be satisfied," said Wayne drinking his drink, looking at his best friend
"Is every year going to be like this?" asked Dion.
"Yep! Wait in a minute. We'll just have to wait," Wayne replied.
"I wonder, how can people be so in love that they can be this crazy, Helena died two years ago, and he is still waiting for her?" said Dion shaking his head.
"You just haven't met the right person for you. If you have, I wonder how crazy you'll be." Wayne said with a sweet smile.
"Hahaha, I will never be serious with women, for me, a woman is not enough," said Dion drinking the beer he brought.
Wayne did not want to reply to Dion's words, only looking at his best friend who was still standing straight.
Javier's had a gentle face, his sharp but beautiful eyes. His sharp and pointed nose and his red lips, if he smiled just a little, his dimples showed. His black hair was arranged, his body was sturdy and tall, so perfect for a man.
The crashing waves made foam around the rocks, Javier stared at them. The foam broking down but his eyes were on something else.
The white dress stuck on the rocks. He kept looking at it and getting closer to the dress until he realized, it wasn't just a dress, it was a person.
Javier without hesitation entered the water. Quickly walked towards the girl. The water there was quite deep. The water at this time was very cold, he was having a hard time getting close to her, so he decided to swim.
Wayne and Dion who saw Javier jump into the water were immediately shocked and panicked, immediately ran towards Javier.
Javier's heart was beating faster. He didn't know whether his lips were quivering from the cold water or because he had so much hope, hoping that the girl was his Helena.
"I'll help you, hold on Helena, I'm here," Javier said to himself
He tossed the woman's hair, but this girl wasn't Helena. Her face was as pale as a corpse. Javier was a little disappointed.
"Javier! what are you doing?" cried an anxious Wayne.
"I found someone, call an ambulance!" Javier ordered. He started to put his arm around her and tried to take her to shore. Wayne was busy calling the ambulance.
Javier pulled the woman's body to the sandy beach. He looked at the woman again to confirm that it was Helena. But that woman wasn't Helena.
Wayne approached and checked the pulse on the woman's neck. Javier looked at Wayne with a worried look, Wayne nodded.
Javier immediately gave CPR. Gave 30 chest compressions, pinched his nose, and then blew air into the woman's mouth.
Javier kept doing this until an ambulance came, but not a car but a helicopter ambulance. They immediately evacuated the woman, Javier was in the ambulance.
"Isn't that an exaggeration? We don't even know her," said Dion casually.
"I told Javier there was a problem, so the helicopter was sent," said Wayne
"Why did you do that?" asked Dion
"I don't know, I think the woman needs just an ambulance. Don't worry, it's Javier's anyway," Wayne said.
"Hah ... I can't help but overhear the thoughts of rich people like you," said Dion.
"Aren't you rich? let's get out of here, we have to go after Javier," Wayne said getting into Javier's sports car.
"Okay," said Dion went to another car, they then drove away from the beach.
Arriving at the hospital, the best doctors were waiting. They heard that it was Javier who was in danger, so the entire doctors were on standby. But they were a little surprised to see who was in danger. A woman. But they immediately took care of her.
"Master, are you all right?" said one who was Javier's assistant came.
"Yes, prepare clothes for me," Javier said taking off his coat.
"Very well sir, I will prepare it," said Assistant Howard
"I'll be waiting in my room," Javier said.
"Yes sir," said Assistant Howard
Javier looked out the window in his room. The room was very spacious, very nicely decorated. With a big table, and lots of luxurious-looking sofas. The room was at the top of the building. From his window, he could see the whole city. He had changed clothes, only wearing a casual sweater, and saw the water flowing in the window because of the rain.
Just a moment ago. When he saw the girl, he hoped that the woman was Helena. Because of that, he was willing to go inside when he saw her face he was very disappointed. But for some reason, the girl's face touched him, as if there was visible sadness.
The water flowing in the window evoked his memory of Helena. They have only been in a relationship for five years as a couple. But, Javier has known Helena almost all his life. His parents adopted Helena from the orphan, making Helena the only woman in Javier's life. How can you forget someone who has been in your life for so long?
"I miss you so much Helena, why did you leave without saying anything? Where should I look for you?" Javier said to himself.
"Sir, the chief doctor who treated the woman would like to see you," said Howard.
"All right, send him in," said Javier.
"Good evening Mr. Javier," said the Chief Doctor.
Javier only smiled slightly, showing his strong leadership aura.
"The woman is in very critical condition. Her life expectancy is very low. The woman has to be put on a ventilator to keep her breathing. She is now in the intensive care unit," the doctor said.
Javier was silent, he seemed to be thinking something.
"Well, do what's best for her," said Javier
"Yes sir," said the Doctor, and he went back out.
