The fact that the little girl was half vampire half elf explained why she could stay under the sun comfortably. There were few elves that were left in existence because they were being used by the witches to perform some ritual. The in clicked to him that the little girl said that his brother used to harass her brother.
"You have a brother? Is he like you? I mean half-elf and half-vampire?" Jasper asked the little girl.
The girl looked at him before started explaining, "My brother is more of an elf than me. And the day my stepdad came to you saying that he was attacked, he was going after my brother, and he chased him to the witches' territory. But being an elf, he disappeared when my stepdad tried to catch him."
"When he could not find my brother, he saw a witch and her son nearby, and he wanted to have a snack as he always liked saying. He always said that my brother reminded him of my real father, so he always took off his anger on my brother, who is only seven years old. I am happy that you took him away from our lives." The little girl continued.
Jasper was finding it hard to believe that the brother that he had always looked up to would say such a thing. Most of the people trusted him in the humans with their kids.
When Melvyn dismissed Jasper, he went to the throne room with Reece and Myles at tow.
When they got into the throne room, Melvyn turned to Reece with anger and threw across the room.
The guards that were in the room got out, leaving the two old vampires to deal with their problem.
No vampire wanted to be caught in the war between two ancient vampires. Reece fell on the floor, but he stood up like he had felt nothing.
"Are you going to betray you kindly and support some witches? I knew you were sassy, but I never thought it was to this extent?! You know that witches are not exactly our friends, and you knew that to one point, they would come around and destroy! So before they do that, we kill them fast!" Reece shouted at Melvyn, not believing that he was mad because he had attacked a witch.
"Do you even hear yourself? The witches are the ones that created in case that did not get into your thick head, so they have the power to end us if they want? And you going to provoke them is not helping. You saw the power that Gillian held, the last I felt that kind of power was when I met Victoria, the witch that created the fast vampire. You don't want to mess with that kind of power." Melvyn told Reece.
"Never in my life will I ever be shaken by a witch! You, above all, should be the one showing us to be brave, and now you are acting like a coward bastard. I really don't get how you came to be our lord. The one who chose you to lead us should be put to death. We, vampires, are strong beings. Every other being should be kneeling before us as they tremble in fear as they face us," Reece said, his tone unmasked with annoyance.
Melvyn was getting fed up with Reece. He kicked him on the stomach, and that fuelled the fight, and soon the two vampires were flying everywhere.
Myles was just sitting on his chair as he watched the two throw each other although he was not on any side, he liked being on his own.
