Chapter 30 - Depressing Situation

She had never been to this part of the woods, and it looked as if it was only the old woman that lived in this woods.

She was worried about her pack, and she wanted to know what had gone on, but on the other side, she knew that her parent would take care of any problem that could arise.

Little did she know that her parent was in her mates' dungeon being tortured? She navigated her way through the forest until she came to her home.

ARAWN CLAN

The situation that greeted her was more depressing than the thought of having a werewolf as a mate.

Bodies were everywhere. Children were holding onto their parents' bodies as they cried for them to come back.

Noel was trying to give orders to everyone to come together so they could think the way forward, but he looked like he was having a conversation with himself as no one was standing.

Some people were badly wounded, and they were screaming in agony. Others were bleeding to death.

There was smoke coming from their homes, but no one seemed to notice as they were busy weeping over their dead loved ones and those who were lucky they were helping the wounded get better. Cyrene walked to where Noel was.

"Where are my parents?" Cyrene asked Noel

"I have been looking for them everywhere, but I can't find them, not even their bodies which is a good sign because it means wherever they are, they are not dead," Noel said as he tried to give hope to his leader and role model.

Noel was a secret admirer for Cyrene .

"Since there are not here, we are going to be in charge, so help me get everything in order. Get all men who can work get one of the dorms that are in good condition. Then I will look for any of our nurses or doctor that is not hurt that can teach a few people to take care of those that are hurt." Cyrene said

"Maybe we should call all that is in a stable condition to work so that we can see how many we have that way, and it will be easier to get things done when we see what we already have," Noel suggested.

Cyrene agreed with her that it was a better idea.

So they walked around the place, getting all the stable people that could work. They also gathered the kids that were not hurt. They wanted to get as much reinforcement as possible.

By the time they finished, they had about thirty men and twenty-six women and fifteen kids that were stable to work.

Cyrene also had managed to get two doctors and five nurses. Seeing the team was big enough to start working with, they started dividing the duties to the people.

The little girls were asked to follow the quarter of the women who were going to get the kitchen in order.

Another quarter was sent to go get linens that were to be used in the dorms after half of the men had put everything in order.

They would make sure that the bed was prepared so that the wounded people and the doctors would have a place to work on.

The doctors and nurses were training some of the men and women and even kids on how to do first aid to those patients that were not very wounded.

Everything was smooth running. Men were trying to repair what could be repaired and getting the place in order as the women, and the kids went around cleaning the rooms that could be used to host people.

All the wounded were being carried to one of the trainee dorms that was prepared to be used as a health facility in the meantime.

Those who were treated and dismissed joined the others in getting the place in order. Cyrene was walking around, seeing what could be saved.

They walked to where the weapons store was, but it was empty. The offices were turned upside down thing broken papers were everywhere.

What used to be the clinic was looking like there had been a tornado in there, but some of the things and machines could still be used.

They took what could be used to the new clinic. On their way back, that's when a little kid came running to where they were with her phone in her hand.

"Mommy has told me to bring you this." The kid said, shying away as he handed Cyrene the phone.

She thanked the kid and, not bothering to look at the caller, answered the phone.
