Sohan was startled to see a trade of rough words between the aunt and the teen and just turned to face the window, waiting for a few minutes as the sound of discussions ring on endlessly. Eventually, an announcement was finally made in a robotic voice stating that the teleportation port would be teleporting soon to their designated transport.
Once everyone was seated Connor realization, "Wait aunt you're coming with me to the academy?"
"Of course, I am otherwise who knows how you'll lose your way or run off once your there."
"But, but... aghhhhhh!*ruffles his hair in frustration* Whatever! I guess you're right that does sound like something I'd do but at least for you sweet darling nephew don't cause a scene when we're there. Also how long will you be there for?"
"Maybe for a month or so I want to relish in nostalgic sights..."
Sohan lost interest and began to nod off to sleep before being awoken by the sound of loud beeping. Then there was a rumble; however, no one was shocked by it as they're aware it's just the regressive flow of mana to their seats to teleport them to their bus... in the sky!!
The "short" range teleportation sends them 10 kilometers away and into some softer seats than they were originally on. There's no turbulence no slowing down only smooth gliding a short distance of the floor as the afternoon sun glares through the windows.
Then a new announcement is made stating that is the limit of the short-range teleportation ports and since it uses too much of the current limits of human magic engineering that'd we be using these wind mana-run buses. So basically, it is an actual magic school bus... neat!
While no one could hear the references of this author, the bus was rising vertically towards the blue sky and zooms forward causing everyone to tilt for a second before stabilizing so they could all straighten themselves.
An hour passes and nothing occurs Connor just takes a look around to see a few people sleeping it seems a lot lost some sleep in excitement or lost their nerves during the night, resulting in them being very tired. It's a peaceful time for the first two hours as the bus flew high above the skyscrapers that twist and turn with some strange architectural designs. Zero pollution and causal people just roaming around.
A few 2 hours pass as once they fly past some minor cities, they start approaching one of the smaller branches of the RCA in a city known as Arias(A-rai-is). Not the most well-known city as it is lacking in tourist spots and anything particularly unique; what does make it stand out though is the significant amount of people there using their superpowers.
Superpowers are a gift that everyone receives at 10 years and there have been no exceptions to this happening. Superpowers are rated from 1-7 stars according to their rarity the possibility of finding someone can be scaled like so:
-1 star appear 1 in every 5 people
-2 stars appear 1 in every 10 people
- 3 stars appear 1 in every 50 people
- 4 stars appear 1 in every 100 people
- 5 stars appear 1 in every 500 people
- 6 stars appear 1 in every 1000 people
- 7 stars appear 1 in every 5000 people
While 7 stars are the rarest they're not necessarily the most powerful. A 7-star ability is usually seen as something that is more difficult to understand taking more time for people to fully get a grasp on it and like someone's elements are usually kept a secret. There are no varying paths like the concepts abilities, it just needs to be practiced over and over to increase their proficiency in using them.
There are people flying, teleporting, and speeding all over; while in some areas flames, ice and other particles can be seen flying around on some open grounds. Near the landing zone potential students and guardians alike look towards a vast towering academy with two tall towers by its side and a wide building in the center falling just short with 15 wide and high open floors.
Exiting the bus Connor and Faye take a step outside while Sohan walks behind them rubbing his eyes as he gets tormented by the sun. A cool breeze flows and Faye takes a deep breath,
"Are you ready boys, I hope you got your stuff ready we'll head into the reception after all the others enter first I'll tell you why once we're inside."
They both generate a bit of curiosity particularly Sohan while Connor puts it at the back of his mind to take a look around. He sees a tonne of cars floating down and parking themselves from what he guesses over a thousand alone are currently making their way in towards the main entrance. Around half an hour passes and now the lot is free and the trio finally starts making its way to the back of the crowd.
The crowd is mumbling amongst themselves as a lot of the less well-off families seem to be worried about the lack of anyone coming. Connor manages to observe a few eyes looking towards his aunt Faye as they enter and believes that she must have some preceding history with them and this place before he met her.
In the middle of the waiting, a podium rises from behind the reception desk at the back of the main hall where over 1000 people stand. A girl with small stature stands pridefully and looks around at a few spots including what Connor catches is a glimpse in their direction again unlike the others though instead of looking at aunt Faye she seems to just be observing something beyond our general direction.
She stands there like some sort of 12-year-old girl at around 4"11 waiting for a round of applause or something. She has orange hair tied into pigtails at the sight of her head and orange-purple gradient eye color like a sunset, she has supple, baby-soft, fair skin and is wearing black and red goth doll-like clothes that do not vibe with her childish aura.
She looks at the left side and the podium moves like little sand particles somehow shifting so as to keep her tall position then points at a person.
"Except for you, Everyone from the point beyond my arm is to leave right now before you end up wasting your money because you will not pass anywhere beyond the second test."
".... Wha?" A single person asks then everyone bursts into outrage and conversation at the second proclamation even the most expressionless ones in the audience flinched a bit which Connor noticed since he wasn't really paying attention as he realized she must be in some position to say this, so he immediately lost interest and observed the purely honest and baffled expressions of others in enjoyment. He also noticed those who weren't but came to the conclusion that those people are older and either so they're either retaking the test or recognize her and this sort of insanity is a common experience to them. The little girl then opens her mouth one more time,
"SHUT UP!*cough* sorry but please listen you may not be qualified however if you still wish to take the practical test train before coming or if you are at least confident in your theoretical capabilities then there's another test you can take in the right-wing." She sucks in a deep breath as she say all that in one breath.
