In the evening after their first mission, the White Wolf Counter-Terrorism Unit had a celebration party inside the lounge room. There was a huge table covered in white cloth. On the table, there were different kinds of sweets, dim sum, other kinds of small side dishes and it also includes different kinds of wine and beer.
Yue Yue was having a conversation with another member while Zhi An disappeared because party wasn't his cup-of-tea. He thoroughly enjoyed the food but the environment was a bit too loud for him. He stood outside the hallway looking through the large window. His tall posture, handsome cold looks made people nervous. He had both hands inside his trouser pockets. He didn't look sad nor happy, his neutral expression gave people the wrong idea because he does look mad even when he isn't.
Yue Yue stepped out to get some fresh air when she saw Zhi An looking aimlessly through the window. Her high heels gave it away even when his back was turned. Yue Yue slowly gave him a back hug and embraced him.
"This feels nice." Yue Yue loved the feeling of his firm and broad shoulder. She stayed like this for another five minutes then Zhi An turned around facing her. His cold eyes stared into her warm and gentle eyes. Yue Yue gently extended her both slender hands and touched his cold face. He held her hand without letting it go.
"Your hands are warm, it feels nice." Zhi An said as he closed his eyes. Yue Yue gently smiled and said, "I can do this everyday if you need to." They looked at each other in the eyes deeply and Zhi An couldn't help himself, he slowly leaned forward then kissed her cherry-red lips. She embraced him as she enjoyed the moment.
Three days have passed, all of the SWAT members were training in groups. Some people still held a grudge against Zhi An but with Yue Yue on the sidelines, they didn't dare to do anything stupid. One move could get them expelled. Yue Yue was observing everyone and making sure everyone was hydrated. There was a table so she brought out water bottles and some light refreshments.
"Dr. Zhang, thanks for the water and food. We're starving." One of the guys ran to grab his share and she laughed, "Eat slowly, there's enough for everyone."
Xiao Xia came by and told Yue Yue some private matters, "I think something is wrong with Commander Li, he hasn't slept for three straight days according to his teammates. He's been practicing like this if something serious was on his mind. I can't bear to see him like this. It's actually pretty sad." Yue Yue looked at Zhi An who was training alone while the new recruit got their share of water and refreshments.
"Don't worry, I'll go talk to him after your training is done. I'll give him some water for now." Yue Yue approached Zhi An and handed him a bottled water.
"Everyone is taking a break, have a drink of water at least."
Zhi An ignored Yue Yue and continued to shoot. She left the water bottle beside his equipment then walked back to where everyone else was.
"He needs some time alone. I'll talk to him tonight." She told Xiao Xia and they continued to do their things while Yue Yue watched over him in a distance.
In the afternoon, everyone was hanging out in the loungeroom after training. Zhi An was standing alone with his back against the wall. He crossed his arm and he watched everyone with a stern look on his face. He's always on his guard when he's alone so he always carry a gun just to stay safe.
Yue Yue just finished bandaging another member because he got a sprained ankle. She walked out of her medical office and watched everyone having fun and playing games through a glass door. The lounge room was actually surrounded by tough glass and glass door. Just then, she saw a another man walking towards her. As he got closer, she saw him clearer.
"Excuse me, I'm looking for my son. Do you know where he is?" The man was in his mid-50s and he was quite tall and was wearing a glasses. Just like Li Zhi An, he looked quite stern.
"May I ask who is your son?" Yue Yue asked.
"Li Zhi An. I'm his father. My wife and younger son is nearby. Chief He told me everyone was on this floor so I thought if you could take me to see my son." He asked sternly.
Just as cold as Zhi An, she thought.
"Please wait here. I'll let him know." Yue Yue went into the loungeroom and spotted Zhi An.
"Zhi An!" She signalled him to come out. And she told him that his father was here. Zhi An looked mad but he told her to stay behind him.
Zhi An's father saw his elder son and asked how he was.
"I haven't seen you in a long time. I've been busy with work and I didn't get too many chances to see you. How are you?"
Zhi An looked down and said, "You were busy... You were busy that you abandoned my mother and married another woman?! My mom was sick the last time I went and she doesn't even remember my name! Yet you had the audacity to ask how am I?"
Yue Yue could see his hands tremble with madness and fear. Zhi An's father looked at him and spoke, "I can explain. Please hear me out."
"I married Lin Ziqi because she is the one who saved my company from bankruptcy. The marriage was to save the company. What can your mom do? Can your sick mom save my company? She can't even help me and I didn't have time to take care of her. I know you were in a difficult situation and I was wrong. I am very sorry I didn't take care of you nor your mom." Zhi An's father finished talking and Zhi An was prepared to get out the gun.
"Go! Get out of my sight! Right now! Or else I don't know what I'm going to do."
Zhi An's father fixed his glasses and got out his wallet, "This should be enough for you and your mom. Let me know if you need more." The amount was equivalent to three million USD.
"Keep your money and go! I don't need your money. Just leave!!" Zhi An's whole body was tensed up and he clenched his fist tightly. Yue Yue calmly approached him and held his hand.
"Zhi An. I'm still here."
It was painful for Zhi An, he lost both of his parents. One abandoned him and another one lost their memory. He held Yue Yue's warm hand tightly because he didn't know what to do.
