"Of course not Billy. We go way back, you know I would never do that." Kendra told him, which didn't help because he knew she actually would do that. "Chloe was waiting for me to come into town to help her out because we were going to make a special batch of cheesecake cupcakes just for Ashley. Chloe even has the shopping list right here." Kendra took a piece of paper out of Chloe's purse sitting on her lap and handed it to the Officer who examined it thoroughly.
"Rainbow cheesecake cupcakes? And a whole batch for my Ashley?"
"That's right."
"Well okay then. I'm gonna come by tomorrow to pick 'em up." He said leaning down again to see past Kendra to Chloe. "Or you."
"How come you get to call him Billy?" Chloe asked as Officer Pike got back into his patrol car and they drove off to the store.
"Because he's afraid of me, as he should be," Kendra answered.
